About 10 Caribbean cruises showed up for points booking yesterday.

Apparently the RC cruises are not available to everyone. They do not show up for me. 

On the northbound trip a large portion of the inside passage happens at night. 

I’ve used SnapChat on several cruises without any issue other than being a little slow at times.

Yes, NCL had the gondola for $49 until about a week ago. I used the shore excursion credit to get a ticket for free. Probably why they raised the price as people could get them for free.

In early September the salmon are running so it’s a good time for bear watching if that interests you. There are trips to Neets Bay, Anan and other bear viewing areas out of Ketchikan. 

I stayed in an inside on the Jewel a few years ago from Vancouver to Seward. I did not feel it took away from the experience at all. I spent most of my time at the Great Outdoors at the rear of ship with good views and easy access to alcohol and food. For Glacier Bay I was out on the bow. As a solo I just don’t spend enough time out on the balcony to justify the cost increase.

Is that the AA flight to Philly? I’m booked on that in September after my cruise on the Sun.

Are you on the August 14 Jewel sailing? The Tracy Arm excursion doesn’t show on my Aug 28 booking. 

Pina coladas, daiquiris, Bahama mama’s etc are all under $15. If a drink it over $15 you pay the difference.

Is your layover at LAX after an international flight or a domestic flight? 

Based on this thread the Breakaway switched on Aug 9. Replies indicate the Getaway and Pearl switched before Sept 1. 

I was checking excursions in GSC and noticed clamshells can now be booked in advance online. Cost is $45 but the shore excursion credit can be used. 

I bought two on the evening of Monday June 13 and they were in my account on the afternoon of Wednesday June 15.

Usually it’s two for balcony staterooms and above. This promo is for any stateroom. 

It looks like they have pulled all Getaway cruises that were scheduled in the Baltic this summer and fall.  She will be redeployed elsewhere I assume. 

No issues on the Epic last month. 

The Navica app is for the Emed tests which are a different brand from the Inspire tests 

I see Sept and October for the Encore to Alaska 

My Nov. 21 and Jan 22 cruises both show the final payment message.

The Encore doesn't need to traverse the Panama Canal to get to Alaska. I know that the Panama Canal had delays early on from Covid, not sure what the situation is today. Could be a reason?

 

I suppose they could fly the Joy crew to Seattle, or bring the Encore to Alaska fully staffed. I still don't  believe the only reason they cancelled Joy was to move crew. If the Joy had enough booked guests to make a profit, I think they would have sailed her from Jamaica as planned. Getting crew seems easier than getting passengers right now.

I wonder what the cost savings is not having to traverse the Panama Canal?

Good question. I’m booked on the Bliss in November for a Mexican Rivera cruise. 

Given that Congress just passed, and the President signed, a law allowing Alaska cruises without a stop in a foreign port I would say the chances are high.
