  1. We were on the Bliss in Feb, it was first come first serve. We were always too late to get a seat inside however, we found that the area at the outside bar on the Waterfront was a wonderful place to be to watch the show. There is a large tv out there streaming the show from inside. This might not be such a wonderful place if the weather is not good though.  Also, a couple of the nights there was a "Beatles Experience" show in the Bliss theater that was really good. You can make reservations for this and no charge to go to.  Highly recommend.

  2. On our last two cruises, on the Bliss in Dec 2021 and again in Feb 2022, they didn't even have Baileys in the bars. We were told it was no longer available, however there was a lot of bottles of Baileys in the Sandbar gift store for sale. Their go to Irish Cream is "Maloney's Irish Cream". If you order Baileys they will pour Maloney's. It's not Baileys but it's not bad. I mostly put it in my coffee in the mornings so it's ok. Order a Mudslide, you are going to Maloney's in it. At least that was our experience recently.  And very much agree with others that the NCL wine menu that is included in the standard adult bev package is very subpar. 2 buck chuck pretty much covers it. I do realize there are supply and demand issues they have no control over, neither do we, their guests, so maybe consider dropping the price of their signature East West wines to fit into the $15/glass menu. They will still make a good profit.

Right.  I did this excursion when I cruised to Alaska.  It's worthwhile and, while the train technically crossed the border, it didn't go far at all, just to where there was a junction that allowed the train to move the locomotive from one side of the train to the other.  Also, people weren't allowed to disembark on Canadian soil.  So either there's no change to the excursion or it's stopping just short of the border before turning back.

    Thanks!

  4. Oh no......  I am also booked on this cruise and definitely not an Atlantis cruiser.  NCL has started to expand who can charter their fleet in recent years. It seemed they used to work pretty much with Sixthman.  I too, will be keeping a close eye on this issue over the next few weeks.  The Prima trip was the second leg of a somewhat B2B for me out of Port Canaveral.  😐

  5. Those events were also canceled on my 2 recent cruises. Dec & Feb, both on the Bliss. I would venture to guess the Wines Around the World is somewhat of a tasting event. While visiting the Cellars wine bar, I did this numerous times, the bar tender did tell me that they had not been able to get some of the wines they had ordered. One of which was a favorite of mine. On day 3 of the Feb cruise they had removed it from the menus. They did still have some at the Cellar, but that was about it.  So perhaps they felt they couldn't do a decent "Wines Around the World" event without certain wines.?  Since you can sit in a bar and drink without a mask on, it's hard to believe this is cancelled due to covid. But that's just me.

  6. I always call my NCL PCC a couple of weeks in advance, make the request, and he takes care of it. The gallon of water has always been our room when we get there. If you do not have a PCC then yes you will need to submit the special needs request form.

For certain the extension cord as others have mentioned.

    Enjoy your trip.

  7. Checked-in for our Feb 4 cruise this morning. The pre-filled registration number and the weird last name number stuff must be a CVS thing. I ignored all that and just filled out the remainder of the CVS registration form, hit "submit", all went through fine. Received their email that has the link to download the bar code we need when we checkin at the pier for testing, printed it, all is good.  100% checked-in.

I called back and spoke to somebody else and got completely different answers. Very frustrating. They told me you can't quarantine in your own room and they will work to get you off the ship. This person said I didn't have to do the 96 hour test.

I can't seem to get clarity on what happens if the trip is interrupted halfway through as far as a refund if we have their travel insurance. I've asked NCL and the insurance company and keep getting non committal answers such as "We'll work it out with NCL" or "Our care team will do everything to get you taken care of"

It is my understanding that the "within 96 hours of sail date" for a Covid test, PCR or rapid Antigen, prior to travel to the port, is to be eligible for NCL and/or your travel insurance to reimb you for quarantine costs and reimb for cruise costs, should you test positive at the pier.  I could be very wrong though.  I have been reading the NCL "sail safe" "travel requirements" and cancellation and reimbursemets information pages on their website nearly every day for a while now, it seems to change frequently.  I would encourage everyone to do this.

As far as interruption of trip halfway or partway or.... through your cruise due to Covid issues, or if you can quarantine in your own cabin, that may be an at that point in time decsion based on specific situations or circumstances. They might not be able to give folks a better answer.  Please let us know if you do get a better answer.

  9. Following. Sailed the MR trip a month ago on the Bliss. Awesome trip! Will be back on her Feb 4th for a Panama Canal transit cruise.

Wishing you and all a great cruise!  Hoping everything stays good with the Bliss!

  10. So sorry szpal and family (as well as the rest of the group) had to endure this horrid experience. There's no excuse for this. Hoping your family is healing and doing well. Safe travels when you get to go home.

Here's hoping NCL powers that be are reading this thread, and take necessary steps to make protocol and communication adjustments to prevent this type of BS from happening again.

I, like others on this post, have some upcoming cruises booked with NCL. We have always had nothing but good times and experiences on past crusies with NCL, and hope for that to continue. But they need to get this latest mess figured out.

  11. Exit7a.....   there are several others that are also on this cruise that noticed that everything with this cruise went away after Nicaragua port was cancelled.  Thinking this trip is still in adjust and updating mode, also, it could be that this particular sailing is close to current sailing capacity numbers. All speculation. Hopefully we will see something tomorrow that offers a more conclusive answer to what's up.  If you get a chance check out the Cruise Critic roll call for this cruise.

  12. For an upcoming cruise in February I already have a $100 OBC (non-refundable) that was part of my booking perks from earlier this year. Others have stated that NCLH will not issue further OBC for our shareholders benefit if one already has some above mentioned OBC credit for this cruise.  Other OBC should have nothing to do with a shareholders benefit.

That said, not sure if I should submit the request for the shareholders bene or if it is a waste of time. Don't want to waste their time or mine if it's a no go type of deal.  Thanks for any input or clarity to this.

  13. NCL did this same upcharge nonsense with Grey Goose vodka a couple of years ago. Majority of guests said BS on this, were not willing to pay extra above the unlimited beverage package fees and ordered Titos or Sky instead, me being one of them. Since then, NCL made the good choice to list Grey Goose back within the $15 bev package pricing. Perhaps they will make that good choice again with the NCL branded (house) wines.
