Have you posted your complaints/issues you are having reading different font styles and sizes on the CC IT problem thread? If you haven't please do so. They need to fix their problem.
1 hour ago, CruisinUngs said:I think the issue is you are using a cursive font and it’s very thin. Not sure CC could “fix” that as it’s the font you have chosen. It’s a pretty font but it makes it hard to read your comments which could in the end add to miscommunication.
You see a cursive font in davekathy's post? I see something bold and larger than the default! (It's much larger than yours for example.)
Edited to add: oh, I just saw that davekathy's post is edited. apparently that propagates to the spots where it is quoted!

Although I still think I am a bit confused on MTD. I am assuming we have to pick a traditional dining time upon booking, and then at a later time (before cruise? during cruise?) we can switch to MTD? Can we switch on the nights we want, and keep our traditional time on the others? or is it all or nothing?
You pick Traditional Early, Traditional Late, or MTD when you book the cruise. You can ask to change it (subject to availability) but your selection is for the entire cruise. Only with MTD can you dine at different times.

This is going to be an issue for me on Allure December 2019. I booked 3 cabins Central Park Balconeys so we could have the dividers open and the grands can go from one room to the others.
Whenever I've heard discussions about opening balcony dividers, I've assumed the discussion always meant those on the outside of the ship (overlooking the ocean). I never even considered whether the interior balconies (Central Park and Boardwalk) had partitions that could open. Can any one shed some light?

The lodging industry's towels generally move around but always stay somewhere on site (unless stolen by the guests). The cruise industry's towels may be taken onto various islands and left on a beach or in a store while shopping. So yes RCI has more to worry about than a hotel.
-
The further you walk down the beach, the less people. It's not hard to find a spot where you can be completely alone. Most people don't wander beyond the snorkeling and other activity beaches. It took me over an hour to walk to the far tip of the island and back. Even when Perfect Day is complete, it won't cover anywhere near the whole island.

$2500 + ($2500 / 2) + $800 = $4550 / 3 = $1516.67
If they quoted you $1500 per person for 3 people, it looks like that's what you got.

Honeymooned on Adventure last year. First sailing out of Puerto Rico after the hurricanes too. Quite a stressful week between the wedding and honeymoon where we weren't sure what was going to happen!

Priority boarding only matters if you are at the terminal and checked in before boarding has started. Once boarding starts, they go through the priority list. Of course, the vast majority of people arrive after boarding has started so once you finish checking in, you just walk on.
-
Using a no international fee credit card to get cash at an ATM in Europe would only mean no fee tacked onto the exchange right but would still count as a cash advance (at a high interest rate) correct?
-
Of course, you have to get there before boarding starts for priority boarding to matter. Once they allow people to start boarding, they go through everyone who has already checked in using the priority list. If you arrive after that, you check in and walk right on board.

Cruise Deck Plans is showing interior rooms replaced the computer room on deck 8. Can anyone confirm?

I think the general advice is to ask to be placed on the waitlist for the time you want. Most people report that they are eventually moved into their desired time. If that doesn't work, you can also head to the dining room after boarding and ask for the change. People are always switching their dining preferences so you should be able to get what you want.

A far cheaper option...just call Royal Caribbean's main number and say you need to contact someone on the ship. My parents did this last fall while we were on our honeymoon. We received a message on our stateroom phone that our parents were trying to reach us and to come to Guest Services where we would be provided a complimentary call home.

I understand having to fix the beverage packages but are the shore excursions necessary to fix? I only remember the vendors collecting tickets, not checking IDs. Is my memory wrong/correct or does it depend on the excursion?
-
Here's the thing. If Royal tells you a ceiling magnet will work but then for some reason it doesn't, you'll be pissed, and worse, you won't be properly prepared to treat your condition. It's a liability issue for them if they promise they can help with your medical treatment. It better for them to say bring everything you need.
In fact, even if Royal made you these promises, I would argue it would be a good idea to bring everything you need just in case. If I needed a daily IV, I can't imagine traveling without a pole!

It is not the only way and has the severe disadvantage of being unable to migrate family groups using a single email contact to the new system. Essentially every member of the family has to use a separate email address, young children included.
I know that every family member should have a C&A number, but what benefits are there to having a login for everyone? I've only created one account for myself and had no issues booking the two cruises my wife and I have taken. If she's curious about our cruise details or wants to look at the possible excursions, she just logs into my account.

I get combining all the "anyone else having trouble with the website?" posts into a single thread but it would be nice if some things stayed separate (like the discussion about the apology letter). I don't really want to skim through 60 pages to see if there's any useful updates.

I definitely want dinners to be special (which is why I bought my teenage daughters - who HATE dresses - dresses and told them they will be required to wear them)... I want us to dress up for formal nights - to me that's a huge part of what makes cruising fun!
I hope you told your daughters that it is your rule that requires them to wear the dresses because it won't take long for them to realize it's not a Royal Caribbean rule!

Keep in mind, if they used the coupons automatically, there would be a different set of people that would be upset. Let's say I want use a buy one get one free on two expensive glasses of wine for my anniversary on day 3. But when I try, I'm upset to find that the bartender already used my coupon on the two cheap drinks I ordered right after boarding on day one. So which policy is better - automatically using discounts or waiting for the customer to ask?

Bouhunter hi, look at post #5, yes, he/she did say they leave the door open and in another post this person said they don't care about others here is a copy of the post:
Thorben-Hendrik
Nope..just honest!
Sorry folks - but our balcony-door stays open? (y)
You can bitch all you want....we like it that way and it is our choice!:halo:
Never 80 at night when we cruise.....anybody can live with 75 - get real!
We have a "our needs come first rule" that we use in these cases!
Sorry, this person only cares for themselves and doesn't care about others.
But bleu.Orchid21 is the OP (original poster), not Thorben-Hendrik...

5 times. While looking at the activity schedules, the cruise will show embarkation day as "Day 1" and debarkation day as "Day 6", but together they add up to less than a full day (significantly less depending on what time you board and how quickly you get off).

I swear I recently read somewhere that fireball shots were the most popular drink ordered on Royal Caribbean's ships but I can't seem to figure out where I saw that.
-
I foresee them to slowly increase drink prices to push people to buy the package
Maybe, but from what I've seen on these forums, the package prices have also been creeping upward over the last few years. I'll keep checking the math for each cruise, but so far the package has never made sense for me.

I actually asked why the full room number wasn't on the card during checkin once. I was told in the event my card was lost/stolen, whoever found/stole the card wouldn't know for sure which room it went to. Sure, a really determined thief could try the card on every deck but they would have to do it before the card is reported missing and deactivated. Doesn't sound like the best deterrent, but that's what I was told.

I've often heard the bathroom outlets supply less power than the other room outlets. Seems odd since a hair dryer is probably the most power hungry device people bring!
