  1. Any tips on Kauai & others would be helpful. We could not get any tours except in Hilo. The only Island we have been to is Maui. Thank you. Sitting in Vancouver now!
  2. HaL is making this stressful, no way can I find the health questionnaire. Iā€™ve even had help from a tech savy . No answer from our TA either. Take our $ & then poof! We planned this cruise so it would be less stress for both of us , NOT. We have toured all over Europe with Trafalgar & Insight & never had an issue with their forms etc.
  3. Thanks CB & Lv . A few days ago a notice came informing me to complete the health questionnaire on April 10 so I was driving myself crazy searching for this. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication from HAL. Confusing for newbies but likely for many others as well. Just trying to make our check in as easy as possible. My husband has difficulty standing for any length of time, walking is ok. We will be flying tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I had all things complete & ready. Another thing, our photos were on our boarding passes on the Navigator App. Have since disappeared. šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬ Is this another thing that has changed?
  4. Where do I access the health questionnaire for cruise starting April 13?
  5. Is anyone having trouble signing in to the Navigator App? I was trying to add our photo to our boarding pass. It will not let me upload our photos & now I cannot log in to the App.
  6. Thank you. Now my husband can relax. He also relies on DR HO for upper back muscle relaxation. This & the massager keep him upright!
  7. We have read where cruise ships do not allow certain electrical items. My husband needs regular neck massage for his tremors. He purchased a hand held Renpho massager. It runs on battery but plugs in to recharge. Will this be allowed?
  8. 2 more questions. We purchased HIA & wonder how we activate wifi once on board? Are hard copies of daily activities left in the cabin ? Thanks in advance.
  9. Good question. I am wondering the same as we like our room cool.
  10. We cruise to Hawaii in 04/2023 with HAL. We are hoping that Hawaii does not require covid testing. We have had 4 covid vaccinations. In March 2022 we were required to show proof of vaccination & a negative test to board the plane.
  11. Cruiser Bruce & others are keeping me on my toes, lol. Tx.
  12. Since we are new to cruising on a big ship I am feeling a bit nervous & want to make sure all my ts are crossed. I seem to be making mistakes on my posts so not off to a good start. We love to travel but my husband has had vertigo since March 2022. Slowly improving so he thought a cruise would work for him so I could have a holiday. Canada Place is a concern as Iā€™ve read about the long waits especially with US customs. Ques sound like it can be a long time standing. Are there places to sit down? Tx for all the input.
  13. So sorry. I have to start proof reading my posts. I looked at the Honolulu port schedule & reads 3294 passengers. The Koningsdam is the only ship in port on April 23 if I did that correctly!!
  14. Embarking at port of Vancouver April 13 2023 on Koningsdam
  15. Sorry I meant embarkation! Not enough coffee yet this am.
  16. Does it help when disembarking on HAL cruise to have Verifly?
  17. Thanks JeffElizabeth. Good tip if we do future cruises. We are booked at the Fairmont Airport & have paid the transfer. Hope it is not a long wait for other passengers. This cruise appears to be extra full at over 3900 passengers, šŸ˜³
  18. Thanks Cruise NH, very helpful. I did not know about port talks so we will attend. Learning curve for us. Also thanks darstamp, that is what I was getting & thought it was an error on my part.
  19. Health protocols are not listed on the Navigator app. Maybe a Canadian here will have an answer re Covid testing. Hawaii has had different protocols from other states. Why is a taxi at Pearl Harbour complicated?
  20. Thanks again for all the helpful info. 2 more questions. 1. Are Covid tests required when departing from Vancouver going to Hawaii? I have googled this & get conflicting answers. We have 4 covid vaccinations. 2. Will there be taxis at the port in Honolulu? & will there be taxis at Pearl Harbour for our return to the ship?
  21. Oaktreerb, do sodas & bottled water count as a beverage on HIA? We will never have 15 cocktails in a day but thought Iā€™d ask. My husband will like having a can of Coke or Pepsi in our fridge. With so many sea days I am assuming there will be few children on the ship at this time. I have read about some cruise lines having a muster app, does the Koningsdam have this app?
  22. I really appreciate all the information provided here. I did print the deck plans, we like to study before any trip & cruising seems like we need to be on top of events, dining etc. I apologize re Canuck Place, I knew it was Canada Place but somehow got Canuck in my head. My husband has magnetic hooks in the ready. I have surfed this site but had specific questions & could not find the answers. I will likely have more questions.
  23. Thanks for the reassurance about the door between cabins. We were in Maui in March 2022 & required to have a Covid test before departing for Maui & leaving Maui via West Jet. Will be nice not to have the stress this time around.
  24. Thank you for the prompt replies. Because we booked so late when others have booked 2 years in advance we missed out on Club Orange & the excursions we would have chosen. We have a shore excursion credit but nothing we want to take. We did book a few specialty dining choices, we have 2 included but only allowed to use 1, hope guest services can sort this. Our cabin has a door with the next cabin. Hope they are quiet at night!! Since brochures are no longer provided will we get deck plans in a paper form on board? Since we are new to ship cruises we may have prematurely booked Have It All. Not being big alcohol consumers this may have been a mistake but live & learn. This cruise is fully booked now so we hope dining in various locations is not a nightmare. Covid aside we see new warnings about norovirus . We will carry on !
