  1. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/18511-virgin-voyages-to-close-pre-sale-early-citing-demand.html

Sorry, but I think that the 'pre-sale' ended, back in February (see link). :(

Oh no, I didn't see tha!! Thanks though! I'm not the only one who can't wait for them to set sail. Gives me more time to save, as I have a cruise booked for early 2020. Now just have to add to the $500 that is on hold for Virgin Voyages!

  2. I'm gonna resond in "Virgin Red", as they call it. While living in Dallas, Texas. I would fly to NYC, or LAX many times, only on Virgin. The atmosphere was very elegant, but laid back. Not to mention the customer service was EXCELLENT. I'm sorry to see that VA was bought by Alaska Airlines. I'm debating to put the $500 down payment on a cruise, not knowing where they will be calling ports on? They are sailing out of Miami, so pretty sure to some of the Islands I've been to. Or are going to within the next year?

As to the pictures, and info I've read. Loving the 18 and up only, will be a different type party atmosphere to look forward to. The layout looks very sophisticated. It has that Branson feel to it. I'm liking the top level layout, looks very cozy. For late night gazing at the stars with your other, or better half? I didn't know how to copy and paste the photos I've seen, but I need to decide quick. Cause I've got 500 bucks waiting to be deposited on some other future cruise, I'm hoping it will be with Virgin Voyages. The first ship is sailing in late 2020. And the pre-deposit space is running thin, least that's what someone told me the other day when I called.

  3. I also, just booked a cruise to Grand Turk, Princess Cays, and Nassau 18 months out. On the Triumph. It isn’t until 1/25/2020. Great deal as a solo traveler, and an aft balcony on the 6th deck. Wanted the 8th, was already almost sold out. Like another poster said, gives me plenty of time to pay for it:cool::cool:The countdown has begun

  4. I read on these threads that she’s going in for a dry dock? What should we expect, does anyone have an idea? I’ve was on the Fantasy back in 2009. Great time! It was a nice ship, I’m hoping to get the same experiences on the new and improved Triumph. I’m going late next year, great deal on an aft cabin, deck 6! 15 months on easy pay, even better!! Give me some ideas, anyone. TY

  5. My first cruise was in 2001, Celebrity TA. Second was in 2009, Carnival Fantasy. So 8 years there. My next cruise is Dec. of this year, 9 years now. And then the gap won’t be as far spread out. As I have another one in Feb of 2019, 2 months later. Yes I found 2 great cruises for a solo traveler WITH no supplement. Just a window view room though. I booked them both the same day.

  6. i usually travel with 2 friends, but they have a hard time to commit to something 8-10 months out. I like to plan things. Rather places to go! Being new to RCCL, I am wondering how will it be traveling solo? I have a window view cabin, on both my upcoming cruises. Empress of the Seas. Dec. and Feb. trying one of the smaller ships first. Then have my eye on Symphony of the Seas!

  7. If you're staying in Times Square, great choice by the way. Especially for one night. You all will have time to visit a few things. 9/11 memorial is great. If you do choose the museum, I'd work my way to the bottom first, I preferred to see the personal articles of the victims, instead of all the steel, and other things that was left from the disaster. That's just my choice. Really gave you an idea of what they were like.

Also, I wouldn't go to the chain restaurants, do those at home. Try the Brooklyn Diner, side street just off of Broadway. If you go for breakfast, we went for dinner. You may run into Jerry Seinfeld. He loves that place. Enjoy you visit to NYC. and your Cruise!

  8. Yes, I'm one of the daily readers also here on CC. I have 2 cruises booked, one for Dec 3, 2018. Other for Feb 25, 2019. Both are on RCL Empress Of The Seas. Smaller ship. I canceled mine on Anthem OTS. I thought it was just to large of a ship? Maybe one day? There's not a roll call for either of them yet.

Like evevryone else, I get my Cruise fix for now, reading what others are posting about.

  9. I'm glad she was able to board also. Being her first Cruise and all. Congrats on her accomplishments. I know how much work goes into being a Registerd Nurse, my best friend is one. People are so quick to judge, shouldn't let them ruin your day. They're just at a keyboard. I know they wouldn't be so judgemental face to face.

This will not be her last, once you take a cruise, you become addicted. I've booked my 3rd and 4th on RCCL Empress OTS for Dec of this year, and Febof 2019.

Please do keep us up to date with her doings! Welcome to CC

  10. I will check with them. I would love to get my points/status with them. I usually just find a bargain, or great deal, and go from there. I'm traveling solo, can't get any friends to commit to this far in advance. I've traveled the US many times by myself, even going to Chicago solo. That was a great experience.

  11. Thanks for the info, I did think they were "sister cruise lines." It's been a while since the Celebrity cruise, would they still have the info for it? I'll check, as this one isn't until Dec. 14. I'm so looking forward to this one!! 4 sea days, to get acquainted with the ship!,!!

  12. Yes I know, if you're loyal to a Line you get many perks. I'm going on the Anthem Of The Seas from Royal in Dec.. this will be my third cruise line experience. Having been on a transatlantic on Celebrity, a party cruise to Cozumel on Carnival. What can I expect from Royal?? The videos look amazing and I can't wait to embark.
