Just disembarked this morning.
If you are wanting to catch a taxi from the cruise terminal, be prepared for a considerable wait.
Taxis were very scarce on the ground this morning. I'm not sure many drivers know where the cruise terminal is. On the way in on Sunday I had to direct our driver who had no idea where to go, or that there was anything to go to.
We waited about 45 minutes this morning. I thought there would be heaps of cabs lined up like at the airport.

For those who are still on board could please let me know what people are wearing to dinner, mainly men. Have you had any formal nights yet? How dressy or casual in the MDR? I've talked DH into bringing some dressy clothes eg dress pants, L/S shirt & tie. Just curious will he be overdressed on formal nights. Many thanks🙂
Disembarked this morning. Don’t think I saw any guys in a tie. Did see some jackets. Also saw the usual shorts and caps during the dinner service.

We are boarding on Thursday and sorting out my packing. In terms of comfort on the ship and airconditioning... Are most people wearing winter clothing as its cool inside or is the temperature more comfortable so more short sleeve wear?
thanks
K
I’m on now and it’s fine for me, just short sleeves. We do live in a cold place though. Be prepared for lots of maskless people, especially in the lifts 😱

I can see you from the lift lobby at the Pullman Hotel at the airport! See you soon Coral.

You've always been able to swap your Elite minibar for coffee cards etc.
And yes, it is a suite benefit as well, I just checked. Hmmm, if you're Elite and in a suite do you get double the minibar setup?
Yes we have received the double. Last time in a suite on Majestic we actually got three minibar set ups. 😂

Only for cruises. Have used the same fabulous agent for years and she never fails to get us our preferred locations. The rest I do as I worked in travel/airline all my working life except the last 9 years.

That would be the Club Class Minisuite riffraff as suites also dine in this area. 🤣
Club class minis don’t get the specialty restaurant breakfast, only the full suites.

Scroll down to open the PDF menu for the specialty restaurants.
I found another document that lists that cruisers in suites can have breakfast in some of the specialty restaurants. I wonder what the menu is like there
Last time we were on Coral in a suite, breakfast was at Sabbatini restaurant. Menu is different to the restaurant. Presentation is really good. You can have mimosas and bloody Mary’s. The service is normally excellent and it is the best perk of booking a suite along with the laundry for us.

Gone all out for the 35 night circle Pacific 2024. A touch over $500 per night😱. Anyway it’s a belated retirement cruise so looking forward to it.

I wasn’t going to take insurance for the 4 day Airlie Beach but I just did with 1Cover. Just to be on the safe side I guess.

We may of spoken with Mark a little more than you. 😁We moved to Tenterfield a few years ago. So, still in the cold. Good luck in your retirement. Nice weather we're having.
Sorry folks for hijacking the thread.

You wont remember us, but we met you a few years ago when we moved to your town & spent a night at your motel. We shared our love of cruising.😃🚢 Enjoy your Cruise.
Hi Kerri-Ann. I kind of remember but I’m atrocious for remembering faces. Mark is sure he remembers! Are you still here? We are retiring 1 August and going to the Gold Coast though. I have to say I won’t miss the cold!

We are booked on Coral in September. So what is everyone doing say a fortnight before sailing date to ensure they don't get covid which will mean you may not be able to cruise. We have both had covid (mild colds). For me it was early April and husband has it now. We are thinking of wearing masks wherever we go for a fortnight before sail date and keep our outings low key. I won't cancel my booked cruises and like everyone else, I really want to cruise.
We are on 19 June ex Brisbane. We will wear masks from 14 days out. We run our own motel so see lots of people and I don’t want to miss out now 😂

Oooh. This might be worth it for our circle Pacific in 2024.

Success! I deleted our passport details for the upcoming Airlie Beach cruise and scanned our drivers licenses so we can use the domestic vax certificate and now have green lane showing!

I loved Murano! Also really enjoyed all of the food in Blu on Celebrity. We’ve booked a suite for our Princess B2B and from the research I’ve done, the room and balcony sizes seem very generous on the Coral Princess compared with Celebrity’s Sky Suites (and a much better price!)
We’re booked on the Celebrity Eclipse a few months after our Princess B2B so will definitely be comparing the lines in detail 🤓
The suites on Coral are wonderful. Much better than on the new Royal class ships. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy it.
