A friend of ours on this cruise called today from Singapore and said it’s only so-so. Will have to chat in length when they get back. We are on the Brisbane to HK and I can’t say I’m all that excited about going on the Majestic.

Your loss is our gain here in OZ. It is unfortunate that the Golden and now Star are going to P&O Australia and not replace Sea and Sun at Princess in OZ.

I agree. Much rather see them here under the Princess brand and not P&O.

Not necessary if you leave the autotip in place which is what I do.

Auto tips cover everything. I don’t tip any extra at all.

How flexible is Princess for letting you change the night? I get a free suite dinner the first night and I am also getting a coupon book. I'd love to use the coupon the first night and then use the free dinner another night. Is it up to the Maitre D?

I’ve been in a suite on the Diamond and no problem to change to another night.

It is normal for all credit card purchases in Australia to have this fee added.

Not on all things though. I only charge a fee for Diners card in my business. Most places I use my Visa don’t charge a fee.

Hi Everyone,

Considering my first P&O cruise ex Brisbane in June for 7 nights. I have a couple of questions which hopefully someone may be able to help me with. Is it possible to order off the dining room menu for dinner and have it delivered to the suite? Also is there a room service menu for alcohol including spirits by the bottle? If so do you know what size bottles they are and the approximate cost. Is it relatively easy to get tables for 2 in my choice dining?

I think that about if so if anyone has any info I would be very grateful. :):)

I always take a 2 cup capacity auto shut off kettle with me. Never been a problem so far.

May seem terrible but I’m sure they can control their inventory however they see fit. Lawyers! Really?

Wonder why they don’t fit universal sockets. Would make it much easier.

The laundry benefit is per passenger not per cabin.

 

Normally only sail in full suites so I get the laundry anyway. I guess I shouldn’t get the 10% discount either if I buy something on his account :rolleyes:

7 cruises 111 days so far. Don’t have to worry though partner is Elite so get the laundry which is great.

Only traditional dining no cruise. * unless I had an iron clad 2 top guaranteed.

Oh well nobody died. Myself and partner are in a suite on our next cruise. They can call me whatever the hell they damn well like as long as I’m in that suite. :D:o

Yes. I always leave the auto tip in place but don’t tip every 5 minutes on top of it.

Not all of it is the fault of the pax. On my Panama Canal Fort Lauderdale to LA I was in a full suite and had friends down the hall in a mini. The cabin steward once he realized we were together actively suggested our friend to use our free laundry by giving them the laundry bags! Neither of us in the full suite were Elite at that time. The laundry always came back next day at the latest as it should be for full suites.

Not something I’d do. The ship only needs to be a little late and/or a traffic accident on the way to the airport and your screwed. Traffic around Sydney Airport is notoriously bad.

Ditto, with the occasional worry about if we have to abandon ship in the middle of the night:eek:.

As the Count says, you sleep nakee, you are comfy, you risk jumping ship in the buffy:')

If it’s gonna sink that fast you’ll have way more to worry about than what you’re wearing. :D
