  1. If I may suggest,

    1. Highlight the entire area of the spread sheet wheere there is text

    2. From the menus at the top select "data" then "Sort"

    3. Select column A -or what ever column has the cabin numbers

    4. Select "assending" (to sort from smallest number to largest)

    5. Clcik on the box at the bottom of the sort window that says "has header row"

Now the list will be in cabin number order. And it will be much easier as the list expands to locate a particular cabin number.

The list is already sorted by cabin number. Ascending order. As the list grows I intend to sort by deck then cabin number.

  2. Everyone,

Can we please limit posts here to the specific cabin information. All these extra posts are going to make it extremely difficult for me to go through and obtain the information that I created the thread for. Please keep to the topic. If you are looking for information on a specific cabin and don't see it here, please create a new thread and keep checking back to this one for your cabin number. We have really gotten off topic by bringing hair straighteners into this thread. :(

  3. I will be honeymooning March 1st on the Solstice. We are in 6120, which is a 2B. I *think* that means we have an unobstructed view.

But my biggest concern is the noise. We will be over the Solstice Theater. I was on a Carnival cruise directly over the theater last year, and it was horrible. I could hear every word of every show, as well as the motors running the lights up and down, etc. Does anyone know if the forward Continental Deck cabins are going to be a big problem for the noise?

    Thanks!

Yes your view will be unobstructed straight down to the water. I have also asked the same question in another thread but didn't get any replies. I was booked in 6128 on the starboard side and was concerned about the noise in that one as I am a light sleeper and they have late night shows. 6133 opened up on the port side so I moved to that one which is two cabins further back but still has the view straight down to the water. I am now over the walkway which should be quieter. Keep checking this thread as I will continue to add information as others report back. Hopefully someone will reply about one of the cabins over the theatre.

  4. Looks great! I wondered if knowing the date reviewed would help or will you add a line every time someone occupies and comments on a particular cabin, especially Aft cabin: Perhaps soot on one day and not another (wind?), so generally speaking it may not be a problem.

I intend to add as much information as possible so multiple entries will be added if different people report on the same cabin. I am at a max width for a 1 page layout for information on the table but if someone sees the cabin they are looking for they can "search this thread" for that cabin number and come up with all posts within the thread that pertains to that cabin and read the extra information. That was the reason behind asking everyone to title their posts with the cabin number.

  5. Wow, Donna, thanks for the EXTREMELY cool chart!!!! :D :D

    Dawn

Your welcome!! Hopefully we can continue to collect information as others return and I can add cabins each week. I noticed that even with the few that we have I already have two on the list that state a problem with noise and two afts with the soot problem. Maybe this will help some in the future to avoid those cabins. I am not able to include all info in the table because it would be too large but when you see the info in the table on a specific cabin you can look up the post that the information came from. There is a great post with information on one of the handicapped cabins. I hope to be able to update this at least weekly on the chart and will continue to sort it by cabin number to make it easier to find specific cabin numbers.

  7. I have decorated my door for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Party City has lots of things you can use. For holiday decorations as well as tropical/Hawaiian themed things try www.orientaltrading.com If you use a garland of some type around the door frame, (I had an orange/black for Halloween) it makes it easier to spot your cabin from a distance.

I have used cardboard school type cut outs and the cling type that just stick to the door.
