This is a bit of a longshot but can you pick what brand of beer you get in the bucket?

We have only cruised on HAL ships previously the Oosterdam and the Maasdam. We are booked on another HAL ship in 2018 namely the Koningsdam primarily because of where the cruise line takes us. We are not worried about the number of people on that larger ship. Compared to others it's not that big.

Well my first cruise was on the TSS Fairstar (The Fun Ship) back in 1973. We travelled from Sydney to Fiji on a 19 day cruise. It was on the Fairstar that halfway through the cruise, I happened to meet a young lady in the disco and it ended up me marrying that good looking gal in 1975.
We have been married for almost 42 years. What a cruise:cool:

Guys,
Thanks for your replies. Having thought about it, it's probably more hassle than what it's worth. I'll get HAL go do the work.
Cheers

Hi Folks,
We are doing the 21 day Norway & the Baltics cruise next May. I know this is kind of a boring subject but we want to go ashore in Amsterdam, find a laundromat, do the washing, and take it all back on the ship later. I might add that by the time we do the washing, it will be almost 2 weeks since we left home.
I'm not sure how Holland America would react to this, so I'd like to know if anyone else has done a similar procedure during the course of a cruise/cruises with HAL.
Thanks

Thanks for all the info folks. All things considered, we will probably opt for the Mozart deck 6 towards the rear of the ship.

Hi everybody,
My wife and I are travelling on Holland America's Koningsdam to the Baltic in May, 2018. I was wondering whether anyone has had a balcony cabin on the Navigation Deck (Deck 8) and how was the overall experience.
I guess this would also apply to other HAL ships on the same deck.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Paul

We haven't cruised with HAL since 2009. We have a 21 day cruise booked for next May so it will be interesting to see how they shape up now. I guess the itinerary that HAL offered was the main reason for booking the cruise with them in the first place. Time will tell.....
