Well, it's 2024, and I just received one of those $100 checks via Bottom Line Technologies/Paymode, saying it's on behalf of Holland America line. I called Holland America, and after spending a lot of time on the phone with them, they had no idea of what it might be. Is there anyone out there who has information on this?

It's been a while since we cruised with Holland America, and I have two questions: 1) Should we put our HA luggage tags (the ones with our Stateroom number) on our luggage before we get on our flight, or after we arrive in Amsterdam (where we're staying overnight until our cruise the next day). 2) Do we need European electric adapters for the ship, or does the ship have US electric outlets? Thanks for your help!

It's been quite a while since we've been on a cruise, and I know that many things have changed, including "dress codes." Does Holland America still have "Formal NIghts" on their 14-day cruises, and is there a "Dress Code" for dinner at Pinnacle Grill & Tamarind? Thanks for any information you can provide!

So, we got an email from Holland America today, saying that we could upgrade our room. We're on the Rotterdam. The offer was for a "Preferred Limited Upgrade" to a Family Oceanview Stateroom on Level 1 -- we previously had an interior room on Level 6. Both rooms are/were toward the back section of the ship. Well, when I saw that the Family Oceanview room had a bathroom-and-a-half, it sold me, so I made the upgrade. Now I'm wondering if I did the right thing, so here I am! I'd love to hear from anyone who's had a room on Level 1 -- was there a lot of noise, or movement, or something that made you wish you hadn't been on the first level?
