How was the condition of the Reflection? We were on the Beyond January 2nd and agree with you. I was especially surprised by the size of the fitness center. The Reflection was a favorite of ours and we are thinking about booking a B2B this fall.

The Reflection is in great shape.  We would not hesitate to book again.  IMO the layout of the Reflection is much more functional.  People are packed in the gym on the Beyond; we have found that if we go to the gym at 3pm it is the least crowded, but still are falling (literally) over people stretched out in walkways doing their exercise routines.  The Beyond fitness staff, though very nice, doesnt allow the use of the exercise studios if you don’t pay for a class.  The Reflection had no problem opening up the studios for mat use.

  2. Was on the Reflection for New Year’s Eve Cruise and ship (sailing near capacity), never felt crowded in any venues.  This week on the Beyond (first time E class after many Celebrity Cruises) and this ship, though beautiful, has quickly become “NOT” a favorite.  Every venue feels cramped … lots of “out of the way nooks”,  but they are not practical; space usage is terrible.  Many design flaws with this class ship IMO including the Infinity Balcony, pool space, and gym.  Will not be cruising on an “E” Class ship any time soon.   Back to “S” Class or “M” Class for us.

  3. Sorry for misinformation.  I went back through all paperwork/correspondence with Cosal.  Process we did … I sent info (names/numbers) through email; we did not pay a deposit, we paid entire amount at completion of tour in cash (plus tip).  This was Jan 2023 trip.

Will be stopping in both St. Kitts and Antigua on an upcoming Cruise in November and I need help deciding what to do where...

My kids want to go Zip Lining at least once on the cruise, and it seems our best choices are these two islands.

We were also thinking of doing a Catamaran excurions on one of these two stops.

Which do you think would be best for either?

We did an island tour of St Kitts on our last cruise, and it was honeslty our least favorite port...

We did a zip line in Antigua years ago that included a hike over a small mountain, then caught a catamaran on the other side for lunch and rerun to the ship … not sure if this is still offered, but was a fantastic day.  While in St Kitts we have taken the catamaran to Nevis several times, always had a nice time.

That's actually not correct. Blu is right above all the restaurants. It's Luminae that's nowhere near the MDRs. We were able to order MDR entrees and salads when we were on the Beyond last October.

Was hoping this was the case.  Have always been able to get French onion and MDR entrees in Blu when on the S & M class ships.  Will be on my first E class ship in Jan 24 in Aqua.

  6. We are early risers also with a morning routine and always get the room service coffee.  We mark the earliest time available — I.e, we circle the 6am and make a note that we prefer as close to 6am as possible. The staff will call the room an say that “coffee is on the way,” and normally it is there in minutes.  It is so relaxing to have a pot of coffee in the balcony to help us get around.

NOTE:  we always tip room service a couple dollars for just coffee.

  7. Long-time Celebrity Cruiser, but have never encountered this issues before, hoping someone can shed some light on it.

    - January 2023 — Booked a 2023 New Year’s Eve Cruise

    - March 2023 — started looking at website for excursion options and speciality dining … Speciality Dining site stated “Amazing Experiences Coming Soon”

    - April / May — looked almost every day; same statement on Specialty Dining page

    - May — spoke to Celebrity Rep, he stated “I don’t know, maybe they are all sold out”

    Has anyone experienced this?

Was Speciality Dining really sold out?

    Thanks

Back in June, Celebrity ran a zero supplement for select cruises (Solo Promotion Flyer).  Some couples took advantage of this deal to book two adjoining cabins to get an extra bathroom out of it.  It did not cost more than booking a single cabin with double occupancy.

We did this on our last Princess cruise during a Solo Promotion.  I booked a bare bones fare inside and hubby booked a balcony.  We spent all time in balcony cabin, and used my inside for storage.  Worked out great.  Was cheaper then booking two people in the balcony, and received double booking points.

Is it better to book 7 day B2B or the 14 day cruise.  Looking at East/West Caribbean.

i understand B2B would give 2 cruise credits vs only 1 for the 14 day.  Any other benefits either way?

    TIA

We just did a 14 day and I thought we would only get 1 credit, but we got 2 credits each.

  10. Love the S-Class ships and have been on the Reflection numerous times (along with all sister ships); have not done the E-class.  Looking at doing a B2B2B 22-day on Reflection or a 21-day B2B on the Beyond, both in Aqua Class, same price range, same perks.  Know my preferred cabin locations on the Reflection, not a clue on the E-class.  Which one would you select and if E-class, what cabin location and why?  Thanks for the assist.

  11. We have never found Blu crowded on S class ships or loud, but we do tend to eat early.  Felt that Blu on M class ships were a little more crowded, but again not loud.  Have steered away for E class ships due to the infinity balcony.  There are very few Children if any at all in Blu.  Have cruised at least twice a year in Aqua Class since it’s inception.  Wait staff has almost always been outstanding with a few exceptions .  If we did not “mesh” with waiter, we just asked to be moved to another section.  When we found a waiter we liked, we requested their section every night.   I suggest giving it a try.

I can't only speak about the Equinox, they will only let you order the "timeless classics" and not the rotating items which was disappointing

Was on the Equinox in January and ordered many times from the MDR menu due to medical diet restrictions.  Will be very sad if this has changed.
