My friend who would be cruising with us works 3rd shift so is occasionally unable to sleep normal schedules.
Would there be stuff for him to do in early morning hours like 3 or 4am?
Is it possible to plug video game systems in to tvs in rooms in the suites(I've read mixed things)
Other than a book or handheld game does anyone have tips for that situation?

There is a picture of the couch made up as a bed as well as the pull down bed from the ceiling in the H4 on the Escape in this thread:

I would imagine it would be a similar set-up on the Getaway?
wow perfect! I sent that over to them so they could judge.
thank you!

I was in the 2 bedroom Haven suite on the Breakaway. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re referring to. My friends stayed there and I looked at the second bedroom. It is tiny and the bed looked like a twin. It was very hard. I don’t know if they pull something else out for sleeping, but I wouldn’t want to stay there unless they pull something else out to sleep on.

I think it is the same room, getaway and breakaway are the same class right?
That is good to know. Maybe I will call their service line, but I am hesitant they will sugar coat the truth which is why I came here

Do you plan on having your 2-year old in bed with you? That's the only way that will work. The master bedroom is tight with not much walking space.
You can put two adults in the second bedroom, but that would be really tight. And one of them would probably need to sleep on the bed that comes down from the ceiling, but others that have had two people use this room can probably give a better opinion (we've only had one person in the 2nd bedroom).
Thanks for the tips, I just saw how small the space around master bed is. we could probably have her crib or whatever in the living room, I doubt anyone would get up super early and their room and ours both have tvs so we wouldn't need to disturb her.
I'm still curious about the second room as some reviewers say the bed fit 2, but I don't want our friends to be uncomfortable. They are both probably 5'6'' or under and not large.
I'm just not sure if spending a little more for their own penthouse would be worth it to them, just to have a bigger bed, they will probably only be in the bedroom for sleep.
We are trying to find a good balance between price and comfort. The Haven is a must for all of us so it is this room or 2 penthouses which would run the same for my wife and I and a bit more for them

Hello,
I tried searching for this but couldn't find pictures or any helpful info.
In the 2 bedroom villa on the getaway can 2 smaller adults sleep comfortably in the second bedroom?
We are looking at booking 5 in the room, my wife and I, our 2 year old, and our couple friends.
Our plan was to have the 3 of us in the master bedroom and them in the 2nd bedroom, but I cant tell if there would be enough room for this.
Thanks in advance!!!

Thank you all so much for the advice!

Hello all!
Looking at the getaway from NY to Bermuda for 4 days and was hoping I could get suggestions for parking. Are there lots, prices, or would parking elsewhere and taking transit work?
-
Hey all,
I was looking at this cruise and had some questions.
We were thinking of getting the 2 bedroom family villa for 5 of us. My friend and his fiancee, my wife, 2 year old and I.
Is the second bedroom reasonable for 2 people and are the walls paper thin?
Do you think there is room for the cruise provided crib in the master bedroom?
How is parking at the NY terminal? I've heard it's bad and would love suggestions.
Thanks for your help.:D:D

Traveling on the dawn this week in a penthouse. Is room service complimentary for all suites or is that only on ships with the haven?
Thanks

You should book ahead of time to ensure your excursion does not sell out. If you call the promotion number, 1-866-625-1167, they will book the excursion, but not charge you. Once you are on board, they will add the cost of the excursions to your on board account. After you complete each excursion, the $50 is added to your on board account. It does not matter when and how you book, you get your $50 per port.
It is $50 per port (not $150 total unless you are on Bermuda)
We are going to Bermuda, so would alp 150 apply to one excursion?
-
Cruising in a month and was thinking of booking an excursion as it seems to be filling up. I should have $150 in excursion credits from the promotions and was wondering if anyone knows a way to use that while booking in advance. Thanks for any info

I was thinking of ordering the anniversary decorations for my upcoming trip and was wondering what the quantity selection was for and if anyone has experience with it?
Do I just chose it for 1 guest since we don't need double decorations?
Thanks :)

You did not mention which kind of suite, but the 2BR had outlets in the living area and regular ones in the bathroom.
Sorry that would have helped I'm sure, we are in a penthouse.
Thanks for the answers everyone

I think I read reviews saying to bring a power splitter on some NCL ships because there is only 1 outlet. Is this true of suites on the dawn? All we would need it for is charging phones

Following, we are on the same trip I. 5 weeks. Can't wait!

No, all suites; I cruise in an aft penthouse, but keep in mind a mini-suite is not considered a suite, so they don't get a Butler.
We are going to be in a penthouse and I know my wife would love the bowl of m&ms and we would love a pitcher of water and lemonade. Just didn't want to ask concierge and get an insane upcharge
-
Sorry to grave dig a thread but do these requests (m&ms and special snacks) apply to all suites or just owners and up? There is very unclear information about how perks of suites are spread out. Thanks in advance
-
I'm pretty new at this but I called and used the PCC that had called/emailed me and I had the same booking blocked out online without telling him and his price was significantly cheaper than if I had booked online

The liquor is yours to keep - pack it well perhaps with a towel around each inside a doubled
plastic bag and centered in your luggage traveling by air or other commercial method.
It can't go in your airline carry-on baggage.
Awesome. Good to know. We would be driving so not that bad. I was worried my whole flight home from Scotland about my scotch in my bags lol

This is probably a super stingy question, but if you stay in a DOS and don't finish your complimentary bottles can you take them home? 7 nights is not long for 2 people who don't drink much to go through 3 bottles, especially since we will have our child so there won't be any super smashed nights.
Thanks in advance for any answers

RI has many options to head into Boston.... if you are heading up 95 then 93 (SE Expressway) the rush hour is over. It will be congested with volume but you won't have an issue..... if you are heading in from northern RI (along 146) it may be worth going up and taking the Mass Pike in (an even easier ride to the pier)
Thanks! I'd be taking 93

I saw people mention traffic. We are on this cruise 10/27 and live about 45 minutes away in RI. I don't drive to Boston much but would there really be traffic at about 10:30am?

Cruising in 57 days. When should online check in be done? Is it time sensitive?
2 bedroom family villa on the Getaway?

It would be 5050. He has seen the pictures. He is hesitant to travel so has opted to share the room. For my family the price is essentially identical if we split room or get a penthouse but much more for him. If we did more than 50% than it would be better for us to get separate rooms. I really tried selling him on separate rooms but between price and wanting to be together this is what he wants.
