Maybe they take the measurements when you're lying down.

Do you know how many ships are in port that say? I would say take the later flight and relax at the airport.

We got 50% off Sp dining the first night on our Eclipse sailing in Nov. We went to Qsine and it was wonderful. I have never heard of Blu taking reservations.
-
Enjoying your review. We got off Eclipse as you got on and we had the same stateroom attendants. We, too thought Sheldon was great.

The Porch has a fee. I believe it is $5pp.

When we sailed on Millennium to Vancouver from Petropavlovsk this year, we had several ports in Alaska so we sailed as DesertPesce suggested.
This is the great circle route, so I imagine you will do the same even without the stops.
We had a corner cabin on deck 11 too and it was a bit rocky in the Bering Sea, otherwise very calm. We enjoyed it very much.

Is he a foodie? What about the Chef's table? This is a very special dinner held in the galley if there are enough to sign up for it (8 people, I think). Here is a thread about it

I think this thread is a First Word problem. Some people can take up their chair and walk....That is because of all the strength they get from the good food heaped on their plates in the buffet. All cabins should be checked for extra chairs.
Thanks for the post holiday chuckle everyone.

On the Eclipse TA we had a string trio that played twice in shows. Not sure if they ever played in the lounges. We also had a classical piano duo in the theater, again not sure if they ever played anywhere else. It was a wonderful variety of entertainers.
Yes, on the TA, the string trio played one night in the Ensemble lounge. I am sorry to hear that Celebrity is doing away with the classical music.

Wondering if any of you folks that were on the new deck could compare ship movement there to other decks you may have sailed in a M class.
If so what kind of water did you travel on. Found deck 12 on the Century affected us for some reason although their suites up there just a grand location which I would think deck 11 on the M class would be similar.
Is there a difference between the two classes other than size. Been as high as 9 on the Infinity but that was almost midship.
We did not notice much movement at all but then, we had mostly smooth seas on that cruise (Hong Kong to Vancouver,). Thankfully we are not troubled by rough seas.

We were in 1136 (same cabin only starboard side) on our Asia trip and it was great. Very quiet and the best room stewards we have ever had on any cruise. I don't know if they work on the other side. I do know they also did the aft cabins on that deck as we moved to 1130 for the following segment and still had them.

Haven't seen this in a while since we have been dining in Blu but I do think people who do a good job need to be commended.
Have never seen food go ice cold at room temperature. I agree cold food is not pleasant when it's supposed to be hot, but it can be sent back.

We love Celebrity too and since Seattle to Hawaii return is not possible why not use Vancouver? For the April sailing from Honolulu Solstice will be modified to fit under the Lions Gate Bridge to dock in Vancouver.

We got towel animals too on Eclipse. This is only the second time we have had them except on Millennium where we had a little game going and we got them every night. So cute. They were the best room stewards we ever had.
-
We got off Eclipse Nov 16 and they processed our credit of $61.93 without contacting us.

We are set to sail in about a month and are booked for Aqua Class. There are talks if eating in Blu instead of the MDR.
When is the best time to call so you can get a good seat? Does it have to be the day before?
Thoughts on Blu vs MDR??
They don't do reservations in Blu. The best way to "reserve" your seat is to go early.
We find the MDR pretty good but Blu is wonderful. We do love the breakfast too. It closes at 9:30 AM.

I always thought the canopies were too small to protect me from the afternoon setting sun.I hope these are larger.
Sorry, the pita chips we got were so soggy they wouldn't really have protected you from the sun as they wouldn't stand up. OTOH the sun might have dried them out a bit.:D
I don't complain about much but these were disgusting and they came like that several times. We liked the shrimp and the olives.

I have to add my condolences to this thread. I am so sorry for your loss. Only people who have had a beloved pet and lost one can understand how it feels. They give you so much and ask for so little in return. I hope the great memories you have of Cooper will help you in your grieving process.

Thank you for your review. We plan to sail on Solstice next year.

I am surprised that people think this illness is found only on ships. We have had it only once and got it in a hotel where seminars were being held. Unfortunately DH was one of the speakers. Yes, I agree it is terrible and very contagious.
I hope you get well soon Kitty and that you are pleased about the 20# loss. Terrible way to do it though

Off topic.
I would like to know if the person who came up with YVR to mean Vancover was the same person that spelled Xerox without a "Z". :D
Yes, it probably was and he was on Xanax at that time.:D

It was 8:00 - 9:30 AM on Eclipse recently.

We will not miss them either but we will miss the strings. I love classical music and yes, we loved the harp too.

Congratulations on your upgrade and happy cruising. Is this a 7 day cruise? If so, why would you book a 5 day speciality dining pkg when you are eating in Blu? On a recent cruise when we boarded we found an invitation to dine in a speciality restaurant for 50% off the first night. It was offered to all AQ people. Later in the cruise we were eating at Aqua Spa cafe one day when they were offering 30% off Sp dining.
S.S.Meridian - anybody remembers?

It was our first Celebrity cruise too. We sailed out of Puerto Rico to the southern Caribbean. We thought the food was awesome.
