  1. We used Italy Tours for 3 of our excursions on our recent cruise. Chicco and Cristina were both very easy to work with and answered questions promptly. Our first excursion in Livorno was Best of Tuscany. I opted for the semi private tour and posted it on our roll call. Another couple signed up so the tour could move forward since we now had 6. However a month before the cruise this same couple cancelled. I posted again and no one else seemed interested. I felt we needed to cancel as we no longer had the minimum amount for the tour. However Cristina said that was not the case and we did the tour with just the four of us. Wolfgang was our driver and he was great! We were spoiled for future excursions. Our second excursion was in Palermo, Sicily. I also put this on our roll call and had 4 other passengers join our group of four. I'm surprised this trip is not on the web page to show it's availability, I found out about it through Chicco. I liked that we started in Monreale first and walked right into the cathedral, when we left an hour later the crowds and line had started to form. Our third excursion was in Naples- Pompeii, Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast. We joined a group of fellow passengers on this excursion, there were 14 on this group. All three tours were great and all three drivers were wonderful and got us back to the ship with time to spare. We also used the sister company, Barcelona Day Tours for our tour in Barcelona.
  2. We will be in Halifax in a couple weeks and have a late departure. I was wondering if there are any pubs near the port. Would really enjoy some traditional music, but I just don't know if it exists there. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Thanks for all the helpful replies, gives me lots to think about. Turtles06- The Five Fishermen sounds great, any chance they have chowder? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  4. Another question about hop on hop off trolley, I understand they close at 5. If we get on at stop 2 at 4:45, do they complete the circuit, or does everyone get off at the next stop at 5. Or do they stop the circuit and return to stop 1 at 5:00? Our ship is in port from 11-8. Sent from my iPad using Forums

We will be in port at St. John and Halifax in October. In St. John we will be on a private tour but may end up at the market. In Halifax we plan on doing the boardwalk area, perhaps go to the Citadel. My question is do we need to get Canadian currency for shops or restaurants around there? Sent from my iPad using Forums

    Chowder

Which port was this in? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  7. We bought a Hop on hop off, plan on doing the complete circuit then hop off at a couple places. Again this wasn't my original plan and I didn't realize Old Town Trolley would sell out 2 months in advance. I will check back time to time in case it's a glitch and tickets become available. 8. We will be on a New England cruise this October. My husband and I are on a quest to find good chowder, seafood or clam, at each port. Any recommendations? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  9. I was hoping to use Old Town Trolley for our stop on October 22. But when I went to purchase tickets online it showed they were sold out that day. I had a chat with o trolley representative and he said they are sold out several days. I said I'd get them thru Viator and he said, good luck, if you can't get on you have to deal with them we can't help you. So we are buying our ticket thru Princess. Cost more but at least we'll have tickets Sent from my iPad using Forums
