  1. We just did a B2B cruise on the Liberty a few weeks ago. After watching the waiters struggle for 15 days with this new menu (we had 2 different sets of waiters) I believe the main reason we are seeing all the complaints of slow service is the fact that all the side dishes are now ordered separately. The waiters must carry more plates+ more trays+ take more orders (for the sides) multiply this out= slower service. A couple of nites if I recall correctly (formal nites) the sides were automatically included and service seemed a little quicker. Just my observations!

  2. Just got off a B2B on the Liberty and the general concensus of our group was we much preferred the old menus over the American Feast menus!! Hoping that if enough people complain they will stop the fleet wide implementation of this menu. Love Carnival really dislike this new menu!

  3. Just got back from our cruise. Wanted to write a quick report. This was an excellent tour!!! Brian was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and personable !! I would definitely recommend these folks for a great tour of this pretty island. I do believe they just raised their prices from $30 to $35 but this is still a good deal for the tour they give you! Happy to answer any questions!

  4. I have just returned from my cruise and wanted to report back about my experience with Karib Rentals. Let me give a brief background. I have been to Grand Turk many times on cruise and love the island! The best way to see the island is by golf cart or scooter. Previously I have rented golf carts from Nathan (3 times) and when I tried to contact him for this cruise he never did answer any of my requests. So I had read a little on Cruise Critic about Karib rentals and thought I would give them a try. First let me say if you want to see the island by golf cart you really should pre book. They have very limited supply and are often fully booked. The 4 seaters cost $100 for the day plus gas (maybe 6-8 dollars). The name of the young lad that runs the business is Max Latortue. I was talking to him about how his change in policy (he now asks for a credit card deposit) is concerning some people when in the past he didn't require a deposit it was on the honour system. He said people were booking carts and he was holding them for people then the people wouldn't show up and then he would lose out on a rental. This is a very sweet young man (25 ) I asked him! Working hard to establish a business. He provides an excellent map of the island and also verbal directions/recommendations. This is a very safe island and the local people are very friendly! We covered almost the entire island from Pillory beach to the lighthouse visited with the wild donkeys roaming around the lighthouse then down the other end of the island. Driving on the left side of the road was never an issue you just had to think a little more when you made turns at intersections. I don't think I saw a single stop light on the entire island. Happy to answer any questions !

  5. Best way to see the island. Traffic is not heavy and driving on the wrong side of the road is not difficult you just need to think a little more when you approach an intersection;). You take the keys out of the cart when you stop at a beach etc. we used Nathans twice before but they proved to be too difficult to get in touch with this time so we are trying Karib rentals. Love this island and always feel safe there!:)

  6. They told me someone would be back in touch with me a week or so before we cruise and let me know all those details. I would still like to hear from someone who has actually used them within the past couple of months.

    Me too:confused:

  7. Sorry for the late response. The scooters worked out well. Someone from Tony's was right there at the pier waiting for us. We had to walk a little bit to pick up the scooters, sign forms and pay. We had 2 people fit easily and the scooters were in decent shape.

I would definately recommend Tony's for scooters. There was another company renting scooters across the street from where Tony's was but unfortunately, I didn't get their name. They looked newer but they also looked smaller.

    Thanks!:D
