  1. "Points must be earned individually." Taken from NCL Casinos at Sea website. There are always people who try and cheat the system, which ends up making it harder for the honest players.

How does it make it harder for the "honest" players. I sometimes play two machines next to each other when I'm by myself, but if my wife is with me I'll let her sit and play the second machine (she doesn't usually gamble but does get a kick out of it sometimes). I don't think that is dishonest. Even the cases where people give their secondary card to a friend playing on the opposite side of the casino, if they can do it, more power to them. I don't think it affects me in any way.

  2. Actually the opposite is true the casinos are full now since they have less competition. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Hard Rock and the new Revel (to many name changes to keep up) opens. My guess is Ballys will close

The new Revel is called Ocean Resort Casino, and yes I agree that the 2 new kids on the block will a) close down some of the smaller casinos, and b) give Borgata a serious gut check

  3. Ok we put bids in for two different Haven categories and we are about 60 days from sailing. Today there was a message in the NCL online account stating we could print our edocs now. When Imprint them out they are for the initial cabin we booked. Does this mean none of our bids were accepted as the two categories we bid on now are labeled as sold out on the NCL website?

No not at all. You can be notified up until 48 hours before you set sail. In which case you would log back in and print the new cabin edocs that you bid successfully on. Don't worry about the cabins being sold out. The people who have those cabins currently may get upgraded, and then you get upgraded into their cabin

  4. I don't think there is anyone who knows for sure, but we can certainly speculate. I personally feel that they just want you playing and they don't care if you win or lose, because over time the house always win. I received amazing cabin comps after walking of one cruise up thousands, that's why I say this.

  5. I think if someone wore a surgical mask others would get as far away from them as possible whether they are smokers or nonsmokers, they may think the mask wearers have something contagious. Of course that would also be helpful with crew selling stuff everywhere, I'm sure they would leave you alone.

I agree..Wearing a mask is very excessive IMO. Nobody is THAT severely affected by walking through smoke cigarette smoke for all of 30 seconds. And if you do have some rare medical condition that makes you spontaneously combust upon a millisecond of contact with cigarette smoke, then walk around it.

  6. How would a surgical mask do anything against smoke? All that will be accomplished is that you'll now be breathing in hot smoke. Also, if you are that sensitive to it that you cannot even walk through without wearing a mask, why do you walk through the casino? Sorry if its coming out in a combative way, its not my intention, im just curious.

  7. Hello all, this is my first post, so here goes. I have researched extensively to see the differences on paper between the H7 forward penthouse and H3 owners suite. The H3 is a little bigger with bigger balcony, and it's inside the actual Haven. I'm just curious to hear from someone who's familiar with them whether there are any pluses or minuses as I'm having a hard time choosing which one to go with. For example, I read that the folding wall in the H3 is paper thin and you can hear a lot of noise from the next room. This is the kind of insight I'm looking for, something that isn't necessarily listed on the NCL website, but I should be aware of. Thanks in advance

  8. I would jump on that upgrade! Once we went Haven, we can't go back. IMO I'd take the courtyard with balcony. I don't do spa, and in the forward facing you can't have the shades open on the window after dark IIRC. We have been in the H4 2 bedroom Haven suite and we can't have anything less now. :o

Why can't you have the shades open after dark? NCL doesn't allow you to, or too much light would get in?
