Sailing in YC on Meraviglia in 15 days.Talked to an MSC Rep yesterday about upgrading to Premium Plus. Talk about a frustrating call. The lady was very pleasant but didn't have a clue. She was trying to bill me full price for the 2 packages, not the upgrade price. After about 15 minutes of frustration I told her I'll try to get the upgrade on the ship.  

Sailing on the Meraviglia Oct. 2nd in the YC. Does anyone know the price to upgrade to the better drink package. We like the higher end Bourbons and Scotchs, also the better Champagnes. So it would make sense for us to upgrade.Thanks

We paid $3101 for the YIN cabin. This includes prepaid gratuities. The minimum bid was $360 PP so $720 total for the upgrade to a YC Balcony. The regular price of a YC Balcony cabin for my sailing is $5396, this also includes the $196 gratuity. I get a 5% discount because I'm a Voyagers Club member. So add the bid price and what I already paid for the YIN, I'll pay $3821 for a YC Balcony ($1911 pp) not bad. Savings of $1575 from regular booking price. I'm sure other folks got better prices for their rooms using TA's but I booked directly on the MSC website. Much cheaper than my last sailing on NCL Escape in The Haven. If I remember that was about $7 - $8k

Yes. We did get the guarantee status when they switched the itinerary but I called the next day and got my original cabin back. We're in a YC Interior and I bid on a YC Balcony. Last check they still had 33 YC Balconies available for the Oct. 2nd sailing. I bid minimum so pretty sure I'll get the upgrade with that many still open.

Just checked and Meraviglia is back to Green Status on the CDC website..

I'm on the Oct. 2nd sailing also. I swear I'd rather get a root canal than deal with the website. I did get an email last week with all my docs and have the green check marks next to all the items under How do I get my e-Ticket. I did bid on an upgrade. That will be interesting. They usually approve or disapprove 2 or 3 days prior to sailing so we will see if I get the approval if it shows up on the website.

Booked Seashore YC June 18 2022, reservation still there and as originally booked. Still a long way away, we'll see.

On the Oct. 2nd sailing in the YC. Had the issue with the itinerary change and losing my cabin. Called immediately and everything was fixed. I put in an upgrade bid to move to a YC Balcony from a YC interior. Still about 25 YC balconies still available so I'll probably get the upgrade, bid lowest price. Let's see how that all plays out. BTW, got my E-Tickets on Weds. 31 days out.

The parking situation at the port was pretty bad today. We left from terminal C but they made people park at Garage G which is like about 1 mile away. They had big coach busses to bus you back to terminal C. It was really strange. The only reason I am guessing they might have done that is because maybe the ship is going to go to terminal G when we return next Monday?

If Garage C is still closed this would make sense. I guess NCL is upset that MSC cruisers are parking in their garage...lol

It seems like MSC is catching up with the notifications. Sailing on Oct. 2nd and finally got an Email today from MSC alerting me of the new protocols for sailings out of Florida to the Bahamas.  Still no text message.

On the Oct. 2nd sailing also. I've gotten emails when I made any changes to my booking but never have I gotten a text. Everything in my profile is accurate. No email or text about the changes. Could it be that because both of us are already vaccinated and it is checked off on the paperwork that they never sent the new info?

First time in The Yacht Club. Depending on how you utilize your Butler and Concierge what is the typical gratuity for them? When we stayed in The Haven on NCL we tipped our Butler $100 and the Concierge $50. We utilized the Butler for some in room things but only utilized the Concierge a couple of times.  

October 2nd Meraviglia Yacht Club here. Not a thing from MSC.

Doing a PCR test on the Weds. before we sail on a Saturday with Quest Diagnostics. They do their testing at my local Walmart Pharmacy. They say the turnaround is only 24 hrs. for the test results. Just in case I'm going to set up an Antigen test on Friday at Walgreens. I can always cancel if the first test comes back on Thursday.

I own a Black Tux and a White dinner jacket. I'll wear the black tux when meeting the Captain and the white dinner jacket on the second formal evening. If you don't like dressing up, don't, I will and do every cruise I'm on.

Since we will be in Ocean Cay until 11 pm we booked one of the Beachfront Yacht Club Cabanas. Anyone done one of these? What type of service do you receive from the staff?

I think there is some sort of magical spell in my closet. There is no way all of my cruise duds have shrunk that much. It must be this Florida humidity...lol

Can't utilize ON BOARD CREDIT when you are not on the ship. You'll get discounts when you pre-order services but you have to pay for them before you get on the ship.
