To confirm - the fort was open and we spent such a long time there that didn’t have time for more than a coffee so didn’t notice restaurants etc!

We also had a very good cruise from Boston to Quebec via Halifax, Sydney and Charlottetown and very grateful we had an uninterrupted cruise. We have been in Quebec for a couple of days and as of 7pm this evening Pearl is still in port.

We left Pearl this morning in Quebec and planned to take photos as she sailed away at 4. She was still in port at 8.30 this evening. Is it an itinerary change for weather conditions. I think we were lucky to be ahead of the storm.

We are due to be in Sydney that day and we’re planning a visit to Louisborg fortress. Is it likely to be open if it is a national holiday?

Is this likely to affect national park sites - especially Louisborg fort - we are due to be in Sydney on 19th

Before I hit my personal deadline to ensure we had an excursion booked I rechecked car hire and was able to book for a day with Enterprise - though we may need a taxi to get to the office (40-50 mins walk away!) so we will go to the fort independently - and can take it at our own pace..

My understanding is that there are special cruise rules and you need to complete Arrive Can within 72 hours of embarking on the cruise. There is a cruise question which asks the ship name - so presumably links with any passport checks at ports. But do read the official website yourself to make sure I’m correct!

We will be there in September and have booked a tour with Acadia tours.com.

When we first planned our upcoming Boston-Quebec cruise I was thinking that we would hire a car to Louisborg at this cruise stop. (We have previously stayed in Nova Scotia and seen Baddeck and Cape Breton.) However I can’t find a rental car for the day.- a situation I understand. Are we likely to find local company excursions at the port on the day, or any recommendations to contact in advance. Otherwise I think I need to book the cruise coach trip.

We are booked on a September cruise from Boston to Quebec City on Pearl and right now the entertainment button in the planning section says Zero. Have they removed all shows etc? any recent cruisers on Pearl able to comment please?
