  1. Can anyone confirm that PCR or Antigen test to board flight and enter Papeete definitely has to be within 24 hours and not one day?

Our test will be  a PCR on a Monday at 0740 AM prior to a flight to SFO.

Flight on United from SFO departs on Tuesday at 1310.

Will we be good or will we need another test at SFO....6 hours over the 24 but within one day

  2. So we were on the Paul Gaugin in 2018 and tendered into Bora but I dont remember it being a port or town remember it as a motu beach.

Where does Windstar tender to and would we have to make our own arrangements to go to a beach?

  3. We are arriving in Papeete on a Tuesday having passed the Covid test prior to boarding United Air flight. Staying at the IC until embarkation on the Breeze on Thursday.

What happens if one of us tests pos at the pier? I realize that we cant board what will Windstar do?

Will they give complete credit towards future cruise?

Will they cover costs of isolation in Papeete?

Will they assist with travel arrangements home after isolation.

  4. Just checked Windstar website and saw that effective 07 Jan (today) all cruises up to June 2022 can cancel up to 48 hours prior and receive Future Cruise credit  AND it is good for 2 years.

Great news for us as we have 20 day cruise out Tahiti which departs on 31 March. Luckily the 90 day final payment was backed up to 60 days which gave us some breathing room.

This new cancellation policy will really good news for everyone!

  5. My wife and I went to the French Polynesia on Paul Gaugin 3 years ago and we didn't do any snorkeling excursions as we found them to be too expensive. However people who did came back to the ship telling stories of seeing giant clams opening and closing etc. and I regretted our decision.

Now we are going on a Windstar in April and want to snorkel at least  once but we are not into stingrays or drifting over coral where you might get scratched by the coral.

We stop at Moorea, Raiatea, Motu Mahaea Taha'A ,and  Bora Bora.

Can anyone recommend one snorkeling excursion and/or location that would be the way to go?

    Thanks
