  1. Great. On this post I found out that casino's on Celebrity is run by a different entity, .13cents x # of cruises from all cruise lines amounts to over $100k and I should have named the thread Coincidental Nonsense . The .13 cents charged to my Credit Card was paid without any frowning facial expressions, it just did not seem to logical.. As far as getting unwanted gambling garbage emails, I should have read the fine print when I bought credits from the casino. On the lighter , since being assigned to work from home, my dog Kiwi likes the idea of having me around the house, I found out my better half would have been a great supervisor, cooking as a couple make for interesting meals, the best part being the wine pairing. And am I breaking the rules if I ask what is the best white wine to savor without a meal (just for an afternoon delight)? We are red wine junkies but since we are house stuck and the local wine stores are still in business we are open to suggestions. I also am greatly appreciative to be able to spend time chatting with complete strangers that have the same taste in vacationing as we do. How times have changed. Being from a French upbringing I tend to talk with my hands, now I talk with my fingers. In the coming days I would like to be able to learn how to attach pictures my replies. Thanks for information.
  2. I love to read all subjects from all members. Some subjects are sometimes not to interesting, so I jump to another one. The coincidence I was talking about, is my email address being bombarded by gambling sites. Denny, I did not authorize Celebrity to share my email with gambling sites. As far as computer go, they are run by software written by programmers. Meaning the program could throw any insignificant amounts to the waste basket . And Bo 1953 I am not sorry if such a minor annoyance sours your milk. Bonne semaine a tous. Soyons vigilants. Ensemble nous pouvons combattre le covid 19.
  3. Coincidence? First I want to share that I just got my credit card statement from my Feb 22nd Equinox WC cruise. there was a .13 cent charge from Celebrity. Come on , when I started the cruise, I had $375 OBC and on the last night I gave the bar tender a $5 dollar tip and thought I still had a few bucks to spare . Hence the 13 pennies... You would think that Celebrity's computer system would throw this small amount in the trash bin.. Ah well... Also, I am not a gambler but I did get 50 casino $'s before boarding and that lasted about 10 minutes in the casino.. Since I have returned home my emails have been flooded with sites that are offering me some free credits to gamble online... How would they ever know I gambled once unless Celebrity has shared that information.. Has this situation ever happened to someone else on this board? Plenty of time for surfing the internet. My company sent around 90% of their employees home last Monday until further notice.. I was planning to retire in May but cdue to the downward slope of the stocks I decided to wait a while longer. We are in quarantine in New Brunswick and doing our spring cleaning (painting). No rush. Talked to my Mom tonight(90yrs old) , my dad is 96.. They are fine but think everyone else in the world is infected. No visitors and the media is confusing for them.. I do my best to reassure them and my not showing up at he house does not mean I don't love them. Let's all use common sense and stay safe. Love the joke thread.. Thanks.
  4. Disembarked the Equinox Feb. 29th. Had a great cruise . The problem is returning home. We live in a small community and not knowing if we are carriers somehow bothers us. From visiting my parents in their middle 90"s , family, grandchildren, friends and going back to work , there is always the "what if" in our mind.. All this to say that if I had a chance to cancel and re-book our vacation , it would be a non-brainer. We would have waited this epidemic out. Our true feelings... Can't wait for that 14 days to be over...

  8. I am also curious about what , if anything was done to address the noise situation.
  9. Thanks. I will bid the minimum on a Sky Suite from 2D cabin and hope for the best. But to be honest, if we are accepted for the upgrade at the minimum bid, it would make it a great deal and i do have earplugs...Happy Presidents day for US residents and happy Family Day to some parts of Canada. i will post in the https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2657946-celebrity-moveup-offer-tracker-please-do-not-post-questions-here/, when i get my response....
  10. I have been offered upgrades for our Feb.22nd Western C . I see where some members know which rooms are available and thus do not bib because of location.(Noise) I am interested in moving up to a Sky suites but would not want to be assigned a room under the ocean view bar. I am a light sleeper. Where can I browse to find out what room #'s are available?
  11. Thanks for sharing...Bottoms up is??? nice to be able to have beer and wings...I will definitely try to make it to the beer place.. I love IPA's and I have had a chance of getting acquainted of a few brands on the menu...
  12. Thank you all for the info. I will make sure to try something new at sushi on 5 . I will need to Google "what is what" in the sushi world and also the customary ways of savoring this type of cuisine.
  13. quite the menu. I'm sure we will find something to our taste..Thanks
  14. Feb.22nd on Equinox... my wife and myself are both sushi enthusiasts, but when we make sushi's at home it's usually created utilizing cooked or smoked fish. We don't like the idea of raw fish. Would these California rolls, as we called them in this part of the world, with cooked fish be available at the sushi @ 5 .. Also, we are into making our own wine, and we prefer it to most bought wines.(lower sulfites is main reason). Will it be possible to bring 2 bottles of "made at home wine" ? Thanks
