Again, that's the point. What are they being cautious about? They are either concerned about exposure to the virus, or not. And if they are concerned, why were passengers allowed to disembark? If they aren't, why hasn't the next cruise departed?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the passengers under observation flew to NY on an Airplane. I'm also going to assume there were other passengers on the plane. They probably had to deplane and take another plane and pass through an air terminal. And stay in a hotel or two or three. They probably had to overnight somewhere. Maybe London, Paris, Berlin or LA. So before they even got to the ship they were in contact with hundreds of people, yet, no one seems concerned about that possibility. Including the CDC. You all are doing an outstanding job of jumping to conclusions so I will hold off on panicking until someone tells me I have something to worry about.
Carry on and happy cruising
🍸 Cheers!

That’s exactly the point. Why is the next sailing being delayed then? They are acting out of an abundance of caution, as they should.

If CDC test is positive then the crew will have to go into quarantine mode and this sailing plus future sailing(s) on Anthem will be in play for cancellations. The bigger PR issue will be the pax they let leave yesterday that have now fanned out everywhere.
If the CDC thought there was a risk of exposure to passengers or crew we would all still be on the ship confined to our rooms out in the Atlantic somewhere.

If the CDC had any concerns about Corona exposure to any of the passengers we would all still be on the ship locked in our cabins floating out in the Atlantic somewhere. There is no way they would have allowed 5000 possible exposures off the ship.

Everything is included. Spin, boot camp, TRX, what ever they are offering. It is much less expensive to book ahead of time than after you get onboard $49 in the planner vs $99 ( I think) on board.

Thanks for the review, we sail on Anthem in six days.
Beautiful photos. What camera are you using?

They provide shoes with the correct clips for the bikes. You don't need to bring bike shoes.

A question for those who have done iFly, how easy is it the first time you do it? I have booked for our Quantum cruise in Feb but a bit nervous, how high do you go (I don't like heights), do the staff hold on to you etc. I would love to hear about people's experience.
You don't go very high, maybe two meters max. Whether it will be easy for you is difficult to know before hand. I've seen first timers fly like they have been doing it forever and others flailing all over. I think the important thing is to relax and follow the instructors directions. It's fun. Enjoy your flight! 👍

Just off the Anthem today. I asked the Concierge about this and he told me that beginning Jan. 5th, the Concierge Lounge will only be for pinnacle club members and Grand Suite guests and above only. That's all cruises after that date.
I'll believe it when I see it.

I bring my own. The tea they offer onboard is awful.

Vodka Martini, very dry, up with a twist.

I've called security to report balcony smokers. They got right after it and put a stop to it. It's a fire hazard for the crew, ship and passengers.

You could also try contacting a local dive shop to do a discover scuba class before you go on your cruise. They can also provide the answers to your medical questions,

Try the scuba forum.

Not entirely sure but I think there is a medical form you can download from the PADI website that you can take to your Dr.

There is already a large lagoon between the shipyard and Hawksbill Creek that could be used as an enormous graving dock, even sized to allow oil rigs to drydock. I suppose that getting the capital is one problem, and getting permits from the Bahamas government is another.
All it takes is money. They got away with one when the floating dock failed. It could have easily resulted in the loss of many lives. I doubt that that dock was designed to accommodate ships as large as Oasis.
-
If they are going to keep bringing these big ships to North America they should consider building a dry dock big enough to service them somewhere in North America.

Any word on why the dock sank?

I think the limiting factor on bigger cruise ships are the ports. We already have a lot of ports that the oasis class can't go to. A bigger ship would make that even worse. Much bigger and even the departure ports would be sized out.
I'd go with this as the being at the top of the list for limiting factors. Bridge clearance, channel depth and width, turning basin, pier size already determine what ships can cruise to and from some ports.
