Wrong.  One test before you leave home.  One test within 3 days of returning to the US.  Maybe you are reading too fast, or maybe properly spelled words vs text lingo doesn’t register for you.  And even if your comment I’ve just quoted was correct, that is still FAR different than “testing all day long” as you railed against in your previous posts

the celeb cruise where everyone was vaccinated still had cases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you even read my post?  My logic is that if you refuse required protocols that cruise lines have in place (or airlines, foreign countries, etc) you won’t be allowed in.  Period.  Pretty simple.  I made ZERO mention of whether anyone SHOULD be tested or not.  And yet, your response seems like you think that’s all I said.  🙄

maybe we should do testing for other diseases as well since people seem to forget that covid is not the only disease out here.noro virus.cold flu....

Where did anyone (other than you) say testing would be done all day? Not aware of any cruise line that is suggesting anything like that.  Daily isn’t even on the table.  Where did I say I wanted to be tested or that I think constant testing of vaccinated people was necessary? I never said that, so the answer is “no where”.

What I did say, to be CLEAR, is that you can say all day long, til the cows come home, that you don’t want to wear a mask, or be tested (which is fine, if you stay home all the time) but in the REAL world that is not going to work.  How will YOU feel when you get turned away for refusing the required testing and masking? Probably not going to be a happy camper. I’m not going to have a problem on my trip because we will limit outings and mask up in the weeks prior to our cruise, and we will get tested and wear a mask as needed.  We are adults, and understand reality.

i read somewhere the one cruise wants a test before u get to port...than a test on boarding day before going onto the ship than test when ur cruise ends...thats ALOT

    Please.

The Florida governor, and Legislature, are against 'vaccine passports as a requirement.

The Florida governor has been vaccinated and encourages vaccination.

The Florida governor is not against 'testing; the state has one of the highest # of tests.

    Again, please.

i do not want to wear a mask or test ever if i got my vaccine!

Unfortunately for you, the cruise lines and majority of passengers want testing for the time being. I've had the PCR test and didn't find the nasal swab the least bit painful; mildly uncomfortable at worst. When I expressed my surprise at how quick, easy and painless it was, the nurse administering the test said that she gets a similar response from a lot of people. The requirement to take a test shouldn't deter anyone from cruising.

well if u get a false positive come back to me with ur thoughts

I’m going to respond to your two comments in just this one response — I understand you don’t want to wear a mask, and for whatever reason, have a problem with testing.  But since you don’t own the cruise line, I’m assuming, it’s not really going to be your call.

If they require testing to board the ship, and you refuse, you won’t be allowed on.  The US is requiring testing to re-enter after international travel, so I guess you won’t be coming home either if you are booked on a foreign departure cruise. If your departure port requires air travel, you are going to have to wear a mask on the plane, otherwise they either won’t let you board or will escort you off.

Seems like the foreign ports are all requiring masks too — the Bahamas are charging $250 I believe, and up to 30 days in jail for violating the mask rules.  I think Mexico also had some consequences set up.

So if you are going to cruise, or generally travel to foreign countries, you’re going to have to act like an adult and accept the realities of life at the moment.  It’s not all about what we as individuals want — and throwing a tantrum could land you in more trouble than you probably want.

with this logic than disney world etc should test every single human being that enters the park daily???? how many people go on the rides a day touch everything????????? should we get tested when we enter a dirty plane???? how about church or the store????? like this is beyond ridiculous

let me make something very clear since u want to get tested all day on ur vacation... false positives happen all the time.... how would u feel if they deny u boarding after all the trouble u spent flying into port all the money spent...u wont be a happy camper...but u wanted all this constant testing!!!!!!!!

Why make trouble for the staff? Just follow whatever rules.

There are some ports where masks are required like cozumel. I saw it mentioned when adventure was there, and boarding in the terminal.

Some people arent ready to resume  cruises.

if you want to wear ten mask or a space suit on ur cruise you have the freedom to choose to do that.i should have the freedom to not have to wear them.this is my vacation i dont want to wear a mask and get tested all day on my VACATION

Something tells me you cannot refuse testing if that is the protocol that the cruise line is mandating. They won't allow you on board. As for masking, I don't want to mask either and will not cruise is masking is required on the ship for vaxxed people.

why should i be punished by wearing a mask and get tested all day to accommodate the unvaccinated.

You need to keep up with the news. NCL says “no kids” for the time being. No vaccine, No cruise, No exceptions.

i dont have kids so that sounds amazing to me....what i meant to say..... royal is allowing kids 16 or 12 and under to sail no vaccine so ur dreaming of a 100% everyone vaccinated no cases ever scenario will NEVER happen ... you will have cases

You are full of hot air OR You will be left at a port somewhere. The cruise lines will not be playing around with this in the short term.

cruise line is a business... update the cruise contract. If u get covid or any other disease sailing with us that's on u.travel at ur own risk... problem solved. If ur scared of covid stay home and hide

  15. 3 hours ago, 3kidsncats said:

Um...if they don’t enforce it, on a cruise with enough unvaccinated passengers, they will end up with an outbreak sooner or later, which could put an abrupt halt to the start up.  Maybe it would be better if people could just suck it up and do what needs doing for a change.  The protocols are there for a reason, and if you choose to cruise, then follow the rules.  If you don’t like the rules, you have the option of not cruising.

I will cruise but I won’t be wearing a mask and I will refuse the testing. Happily vaccinated I will not for any reason do mask etc to accommodate unvaccinated people

  16. The whole cruising experience has changed...part of the fun is meeting new people and talking and enjoying a drink with someone dancing and socializing and it doesn't seem like that will really happen when cruises restart and it makes me very sad. I don't think the cruising experience will be as enjoyable. before covid it was hard to find a seat during happy hour in diamond lounge. because of cost and covid i can see them getting rid of it all together. this sucks.no fun at all unless your an anti social recluse. Royal is in debt. they will need to cut back on certain areas to make up for the loss.

Off topic  Will be interesting to see how they policy the only 4 in an elevator or just your party.  I know if sailing at 50% it will be half as bad as it is now but sometimes now it's pretty bad and the folks pretty pushy

boarding the ship and leaving the ship is when elevators are crazy busy.
