  1. Hi, can you tell me how to add my celeb excursions to the calendar please. I have downloaded the app and it shows my captain club no but I dont know how to link the excursions. Thanks - cruise in 3 months so not sure if it's too far out yet?
  2. Someone on the celebrity board suggested I post my questions on here. Thankyou As first time cruisers ( sailing the Carribean - Reflection - for the first time in January) we are hoping to make lots of memories and would like to preserve them in pictures. I'm hoping all you knowledgable people can help with a few questions. With regard to photo packages - how much are photos to buy individually? Do they have discounts onboard? I'm not sure whether to go for the actual photos or digital and whether to buy in advance on wait until onboard. Looking on my cruise planner it doesnt seem like you can buy a package that includes both digital and actual photos- seems to be one or other? We have a mixture of Celebrity and privately booked excursions. I know each excursion is different but in general when you go on an organised excursion do the guides take pics of you and then ask if you want to purchase? ie - we are swimming with stingrays - will they take pics of us there? We also want to record our adventures ourselves and are hoping to purchase a new camera in black Friday or Jan sales. We dont want to spend loads but want something that can be used underwater and will take a decent photo without too much effort of changing settings etc. Any recommendations? Thanks is advance for any help and advice.

  4. Thanks it's worth me giving this a try
  5. Thanks everyone for all your advice . It's not a massive deal if we cant upgrade. I just wondered if anyone else had done it or got advice on how to do it. I have emailed AA directly to ask the question. We Usually book everything ourselves but never having done a cruise before we booked a package through a TA. I wanted to upgrade our hotel room post cruise. The TA quoted me an addition $1200 for 7 nights room upgrade I contacted the hotel directly and they are doing it for $84 for 7 nights room upgrade ! Hence I thought I would try and get a better deal on flights!
  6. Flights booked through a TA as part of a package. Thanks
  7. Not done through the cruise, done through a TA. Thanks
  8. Pre cruise - flight is Heathrow to Miami - AA but linked with BA? Post cruise - 2nd flight is Miami to Cancun ( this is the one we were trying to upgrade to buisness - just because currently we will have to pay additionally for checked bags and an airport lounge we thought if it was all included it might not add too much to the price) 3rd flight is Cancun to Heathrow but its counted as 2 flights because it's not direct and we go via Chicago) Never tried to do this before so wasnt aware some bookings were non upgradeable so thanks for the heads up. All the TA have done is give is an upgraded price for each flight so I dont know if they are non - upgradeable fares. Thanks
  9. Hi, We have our first Celebrity cruise booked for Jan 2020, this is part of a longer holiday and in total involves 4 flights all booked by our TA with American Airlines. We were hoping to upgrade from economy to premium economy on at least 2 of the flights and possibly upgrade to buisness on one of the shorter ones. The prices my TA has quoted are much higher than the price difference advertised on AAs website. I have the flight numbers. Is it possible to arrange an upgrade directly with American Airlines to try and get a cheaper deal. I dont know if it will make a difference. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  10. Thanks for everyone's comments. I think the problem is I originally paid for the excursion on my credit card in £ (at whatever the exchange rate was - I thought it roughly £ - $ but I must of been mistaken as everyone has said that wasnt the exchange rate last year ) and then when I cancelled the excursion online, without me realising I wasnt given the option of a credit card refund, I was just given it as OBC . Then when I rebooked it a few minutes later the onboard credit didnt cover the cost of rebooking. Im guessing either the onboard credit exchange rate was lower than the exchange rate when I originally paid on my credit card or the exchange rate has changed since. Either way it doesnt matter. As I said it only cost me an extra £3.60 so I'm not going to worry about it. I just wanted to make other UK cruisers aware to check deals if they are cancelling and rebooking something in a sale as the exchange rate for us isn't as good as it was just a few months ago . Thanks
  11. Yes I did cancel and rebook through them. It may be because I cancelled and they didnt actually refund my card but just converted it into OBC which I then used to rebook the trip? Maybe that's why the exchange rate wasnt great? Maybe I should have done it a different way? As I said I only lost £3.60 ( about $3.50) so I'm not too worried, I just wanted to make sure others didnt make the same mistake !
  12. Hi Annie, At the time the exchange rate was about $ to £ so it was about right. I just wanted to warn anyone from the UK to be wary when they are looking at sale prices of excursions, dining etc and were thinking if cancelling and rebooking, as with drop in exchange rate from £ to $ they may not benefit !
  13. I booked it the end part of last year. Yes you get more dollars for your pound and we get less pound for our dollars 🤣 we are doing the opposite of you and waiting until after Brexit to buy our dollars for our Jan cruise in the hope we get more for our money. Although it's your turn to benefit now as we remember about 12 years ago when we went to Las Vegas and were fortunate enough to be getting 2 dollars to the pound! ... a distant memory now!
  14. I'm not sure what the price was in dollars initially ( but yes roughly $100 I think) but I paid £99.84 and then when I got a refund I only got back £76.44
