The County Medical Examiner is on the pier for the two deceased passengers.  Praying for the families.  Now I see two more stretchers and I hope there are no other deaths.   I will update when I know more.

Update -  thankfully they just moved the body from one stretcher to another  so thankfully only two.

I tried to post the email I received from friends who are aboard the Coral Princess. Yesterday, the passengers who needed medical assistance were off loaded along with the Floridians in hired cars. This morning about 400 Aussies along with west coast passengers left for CA. Also the Brits left on flights to Heathrow and the Canadians were due to leave this evening on chartered flights to Toronto. The rest of the passengers which number 500 will stay on the ship until chartered flights can be arranged for a few more days. Looks like the ones who are not showing symptoms will eventually get home.

Thank you both for the information.

We are all still following you.

Well, thankfully I got on this board and read that people are disembarking and getting on airplanes. Very happy for them!

However, I'm a little unhappy that for those of us on the starboard side that cannot see the dock area that we had no idea this was going on. We have just been patiently waiting for an announcement from the captain or the passenger service desk and we've not heard anything since last night

It would have been nice to get some kind of announcement to give us some kind of update and hope that we were getting off

Keep the faith!  I have 2 views of the port and there's not much traffic so it is evidently going very slow.  Rest assured if you are healthy you'll make it off. We're all thinking of everyone as you make your way off and on home.

Completely agree. I am still on board and need to focus on facts directly on the Coral.

HMG Consul General Miami has emailed UK nationals this evening, to tell us that 2 BA planes are coming to take us home tomorrow.

That's wonderful!!  So glad for you.

Hopefully you'll be on your way home and everything will go smoothly.

Please keep us updated with your progress.

Yes, there are many of us who are thinking of and hoping for the best outcome possible.  As I mentioned in a previous post, the Coral is our favorite ship and until March 13 we were booked for this exact itinerary. We cancelled on the 13th as we had refundable deposits.  Your continuing experience had sadly confirmed to us that we made the right decision to cancel.  We are on our late 60s and early 70s and probably will not feel comfortable cruising again, especially with the new regulations for 70+ people.

Wishing you a safe disembarkation and a safe and swift journey home.

Yes, I'm also in your age group. I doubt I'll cruise again for the same reasons. This is the last board I am following  to see everyone on the Coral arrive home safely.  🙂

I think you have valid concerns. I don't understand their thinking on how they moved passengers either.  It sounds like your virus free ship is having some health issues now. You sound like you're trying to be nice and patient.  Try to make it through the remaining days the best you can. It's hard to feel helpless and confined.  Soon you'll reach port and hopefully disembark without any problems or delays. Think about your end goal-  walk through your front door!

My thoughts are with all of you.

I hope someone is indeed in trouble over that.  Falsifying illness reports is a serious offense that puts everyone at risk.

It is a serious federal offense.

So far no one is talking.

Local tv KUSI San Diego is following it.

But we're here to give moral support to our fellow cruisers on the Coral.

    🙂🙂🙂🙂

  8. The Celebrity Eclipse arrived in San Diego,  Ca yesterday with a severely sick woman on IV for bronchitis/pneumonia  (? COVID19). They reported that no one was I'll to port authorities.  When they arrived she required transport to the hospital. Tested positive COVID19.  Ship and port authorities haven't given any info or explanation. Local TV has verified the information.  They let thousands of people disembark. Someone is in trouble!

Hope everything goes ok for you guys.

You're in our thoughts. Be very careful.

We had a simple menu/order form at 4.
Room service not replying, presumably overwhelmed!

So everyone has to eat in their cabin?

Good thing they moved everyone to balcony cabins. Sounds like you're going to be restricted from here on.

We’ve just had new neighbours move in!
Now alongside in Bridgetown. Many at balconies....well when youve not seen land for a week😀😀

    That's great!

    Reassurance that land still exists!

    How are they planning dinner???

    Room service for everyone?

Both.  Celebrity did it in San Diego, covered up sick guest to get them off the ship, and now there are new port restrictions due to that. I anticipate the state of California to take action against RCCL

I live in San Diego.  KUSI tv has been covering it. They can't get a response from Celebrity. The port authorities aren't talking either. These people were let off the ship to take all kind of transportation home exposing everyone they came in contact with. They knew she was severely sick with possible COVID19 and still didn't report it when entering San Diego.

The people are from Palm Springs. The reporter that got the phone call previously was also from there. That is why he called and wanted to speak to her. He was familiar with her.

The ship personal knew she was a very possible COVID19 case. Yet they did not inform the passengers. They only told them to self quarantine when they got home. They left into the community in cars, buses,  went to the airport and boarded flights. "Quarantine when you get home."  Sounds to me that they just wanted to get people off. Now they were exposed and they have now exposed others on their way home.

    Someone screwed up bad!
