Caught up and following along! Everyone is correct- what an entertaining review already. Really easy and fun to read. Great pics!
Viewer request: You should have your son do a guest post - would like his POV for some of your adventures. :)

130 days till Anthem of the Seas- first cruise!

Kids personalities vary greatly just like adults. Some can be dropped off and integrate well. Others do better making those friendships at the beginning. You know your kid best and can choose if the first night is a must or if you will be more the casual drop off kind. [emoji6]

Our experience has been that they start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, and it takes several days to finish.
Awesome! My 3 year old will be thrilled to see the decorations. Thanks Bob!

I will be cruising the Sunday after thanksgiving for 11 nights. Will they start decorating that early? Will be on Anthem if the Seas if that helps. Seems most people say they start decorating in Dec.

This is a great idea. I’ve worked in the service industry and it can me a thankless job. I wish more people thought this way. Would make the world a better place. [emoji1303]

Sorry for the bad post before- my phone died as I was typing and it looks like tried to post part of my response lol.
You both are too cute! He is def a tall one. He can look over all the heads in the buffet and let you know what’s available without even having to walk around! Talk about a bonus!
Hope he enjoys it. Have a blast!

Today started out with a delicious breakfast in the centre of Barcelona. We walked near Gaudi’s beautiful creations too.
We then took the train to the nearby town of Sitges to meet Rob’s sister and her family. It was a beautiful sunny day and was thoroughly enjoyable to walk down the beach.
We are too excited for tomorrow discussing what our first drink on board is going to be! I am thinking a margarita. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, here is a photograph of the two of us if anyone is on board and spots us. Come and say hi :)

How about these ...
Ahhhhhhh I love this! I wish my husband would be goofy like this.

Have you tried googling the ship and room number? Or a room number close to yours? Many times you’ll find feedback if it’s truly a noisy room and such.

Basically what everyone is saying you cannot pre-book escape room. Your best bet is to book is the Royal IQ app when you get on board. They app works with or without the internet package though you need to pay extra for the text feature I believe.

If a vegetarian is happy to eat a chicken or beef derivative then they are not vegetarians.

People define vegetarian in a few different ways. Even though there might be a “true” definition some will do things slightly differently. Anyway who cares what “vegetarian” is or not. She just wants some info and extras like the stock rod but is good info to know!

Sorry forgot the whole reason I posted lol.
Check google maps for traffic. You can pick your time or day and even date and they give a historical estimate of traffic (usually on a time frame like 50 min - 70 min for example). I use this for my travels back to Jersey for the holidays a lot to try and avoid certain roads and certain times. It’s almost always accurate with the exception of an unforeseen accident which could happen to anyone on any journey.
Have a blast!!!

Originally from NJ, have lived in Northern Virginia for a decade and travel to Bmore via I-95 many different times, days of the week and times of year. Everyone on here is 100% right down to the hint of when to exit and construction. Since you’re coming from PA it will be a breeze. :)

Welcome to Cruise Critic... sometimes too much emphasis on the critic part. [emoji6]

My fridge/mini-bar hasn't been stocked on my last several cruises.
I don’t think they come stocked anymore. You just fill that card out and they will give you what you request but charge you right away for the full price shown.

It's free with the room we booked. My husband eats meat so I'm not going to take the experience away from him just cause of my preferences:)

The old fashion way of leaving notes and check in might be your only option if your family can rely on technology. [emoji45]

I also wanted to add that people say Magens Beach is absolutely beautiful and must see.

I haven’t done it yet myself but I’ve done a lot of research to see if the excursion is worth it and EVERYONE says it’s so easy to get the taxi and beach rentals to do it yourself. Only benefit is if you’re worried about not making the ship as excursions through the cruise line guarantee you don’t miss the boat.
We are going in Nov with our 3 year old on our first cruise and have decided to self-serve. We are going to go early in they day as we know we will only last a few hours with him so we won’t miss the boat. This will allow us to leave when we want as well in case something just doesn’t work out. Also the excursion didn’t start till 12:30 when we docked at 8. We rather go earlier in the day so we can enjoy the benefits of being on the ship on a port day.
Hope this helps!

Discovered your post today and if my job knew they probably wouldn’t be happy. What a great read and mad I missed out on the contest!
I second the other comments- you and your wife look great together and look to be having so much fun. I’m only 5 years into my marriage but you give me goals. :)
