  1. We are flying to Palma next week and the flights are booked by MSC on easyjet. We have the details etc but there's no locator number so i can't add any additional luggage (I wanted an extra hand luggage bag to take my daughter's buggy on board) and I can't pre-check in online. they said we have to just turn up to the airport on the day with a voucher. Is this normal. feels very impractical - surely letting us check in ahead of time makes more sense. queuing with three kids (assuming most of the flight will have to queue too) at 6am just feels like hell to me.

Is this normal or has something gone wrong.

We are also still missing the travel documents of 3/4 of our cabins.

  2. My two year old still has milk morning and night. About half a pint/300ml for each. What's the best way to get this? Will they deliver this to the room and if so do they charge? are there carton on the buffet in the morning? I am especially concerned about the first night/morning as after that can always get a bottle in port. Any advice

  3. we found this when adding our 18 month old on. It said "kids sail free" and charged her either 0 or like 99 but increased the adult's fares by over 50-75% so not even charging the same for an 18 month old as an adult but MORE than adult. it was redic. I rung up RCCL and they just shrugged. i looked at other cruises and the next one along was genuinely £99 for my daughter so went with that one

  4. This is the list of the ones with splash zones for babies but some are smaller than others::

    • Allure of the Seas.
    • Anthem of the Seas.
    • Freedom of the Seas.
    • Independence of the Seas.
    • Liberty of the Seas
    • Oasis of the Seas.
    • Odyssey of the Seas
    • Harmony of the Seas
    • Symphony of the Seas
    • Wonder of the Seas

Also a few don't have drop off nurseries (whether that is an issue for you or not is for you to consider). I thjnk its jewel, endurance and adventure if I'm not mistaken but you can look it up on the Royal tots and babies page

  5. Hi all. Just a little update. We went to book this cruise and within a few hours the deal had gone and the price had doubled. So we decided to book the next cruise which was 7 days rather than 12 (which is prob better for us anyway) and booked the guaretee yesterday saving about £700. We already have our room assigned though and it's deck 7 midship so we are v v happy with that.

Thanks for all the advice and comments

  6. The screen shot is the price below. Bear in mind they break down the price per person despite my daughter being free on this sailing so you have to times by three not two. So that's a 3300 difference in price and doubles the price. When you go through it actually charges £3400 for GTY and £7100 for pick your own. We'd only want a balcony as want somewhere to sit out when my daughter is nappy or be able to air the room if she does something smelly lol. There's no suites available.

I'm an experienced cruiser I know the difference between a deposit and a gty room.

For comparison a p&o cruise leaving the same day from the similar location is £3000, a cunard one is £4500 and regent is £8000. All Inc tips and room choice so apparently rccl think they can charge nearly the same as regent

  7. I don't think it's normal at all.

P&O charge £600 but with that you get onboard credit, an additional perk (e.g. more OBC or free parking at the port) and free cancellations as well as other extras

Celebrity which is meant to be a posher is free making Celebrity cheaper than RC if i want to chose my room?

    MSC it's free

Princess it's free (though maybe up to about £150 for better locations)

Holland America it's free (although up to £100 for better location)

    Norwegian is free

    So er....how is it normal?

  8. Is it just me or this insane for 12 nights. I have been on 15 cruises across about 12 different lines and I have never been charged this much to reserve a cabin. A few hundred yes but £3k to have a non guaranteed room? That's just for a standard balcony, for a large balcony it's another £1500 and for a mid ship standard it's additional £300 on top of the £3k already paid.

I really liked that cruise but with a toddler I can't risk being put in an awful position over a noisy area 😞

  9. P&o

    - slightly cheaper by the time you add tips

    - more options out of Southampton so more flexibility on dates

    - cabins are a bit bigger

    - food is prob more English so more to our taste

    - nursery is free

    However

    - nursery hours are more limited and no entirely sure if it's offered on every ship esp post covid and out of school holidays

    RCCL

    - more options of ships with splash pools

    - nurseries most of the dat

    - classes and big play area for toddlers with parents present

    - a bit more buzzy

    - more dining options

We aren't really into using the rock climbing, bumper cars etc

We previously went celebrity with her at 9 months and they were wonderful with her but she'd just started crawling and was getting frustrated at sitting all the time and I felt constantly self concious about her making noise.

    Any thoughts please
