Anyone have the current shore excursion phone number? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks!

Thanks to all of you above who have been kind enough to answer all my newbie-ignorant questions! I do plan to do a trip report. Hopefully live-ish. Tentative title “A Homebody goes to Haven”.
Can't wait to see the Haven on the Bliss and your review. :)
Make sure you read up on all the bene's you have being in the Haven.

The only downside to overpacking (4 suitcases plus carryons) that I can see is lugging all the luggage. Personally I could do one suitcase for shoes alone. :)
I also fly f/c these day....so much nicer. Especially on long flights.
Have fun and just enjoy that Haven experience.

Aaahhh The Haven...love it!
Since you are in the Haven...your luggage will most likely arrive shortly after lunch. We've done the Haven twice and our bags were by our door shortly after lunch.
We generally also tip our room steward.
Pack anything of value in your carry on bag....meds, Jewelry, cash, camera etc.
Since you are in the Haven you also get the bene of having lunch in the Haven restaurant.
Enjoy!!

I was just in and booked a shore excursion....no problems.

I've been to one that was very similar. Sadly, there seem to be quite a few people who jump at the chance to organize a Meet & Greet on NCL just to get the VIP perks.
Exactly!

These are great suggestions for having a fun m/m. The person running ours refuses to do anything. We are just being told to mingle and talk/listen. Boring.
-
Fantastic and amazing review! Thank you.

Thanks for your review on the Gem.

Here’s a list of NCL tender ports where you will need to take a small boat to shore. In a lot of places, it depends if the ship has a “parking place” at a dock available (ports with *). ]
As always your posts are always helpful....thanks!

I pack in my head months before the cruise....I do the actual packing the day/night before. I do Piles of items about a month before but these don't go in the suitcase until the night before.

We love the 2nd bedroom (traveling with a teenager) so everyone has their ‘space’. We are up early/ she sleeps late and so on. 2nd bedroom is super quiet and dark. Review here and pics if you’re interested. https://gotravellife.com/2018/01/03/about-us/

Thank you for the pictures of the second bedroom. I'm crossing my fingers there will be enough closet space for my daughter and I in the second bedroom on the Gem. Specifically the closet space....I'm thinking it may be a bit tight but we will have to make it work.

Anyone know who the Butlers are on the Gem. It's probably too early for our October cruise though.
-
Following....I will be on the Gem in 168 days. :)

Just a tip for you VIP cruisers. If you want to be seated immediately in an MDR, contact your concierge. They will appear and get you a table instantly. Just another VIP perk.
Thank you for that info.

We also used Kevin Smith Transportation Group for our trip back in March! They were awesome! Well worth the money to not drive ourselves. We looked at other limo companies in the area also, but they had over 125 5-star reviews, daves limo had 1.3 stars!!
My sister and I have probably checked out at least 5 car services in the area. And even though Kevin Smith Transportation Group was a bit more we feel it will be worth it. The reviews are amazing.
My daughter and I will also be using Kevin's for our trip from the Philly airport to the house in Willow Grove.

Three of us are traveling from the Philly suburbs to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. I'd like to use a car- or shuttle-service rather than drive into New York myself. Can anyone suggest a good and potentially reasonable service?
We booked with: https://kevinsmithgroup.com/ for our cruise in October. Pick up at the house in Willow Grove to Manhattan pier 88.

Is Will today's version of Where's Waldo?

Doesn't get any better than a sunset at sea!

Have a wonderful time!

Absolutely. There is a walk in closet to the left after you enter, in the back on the right is a safe towards the floor, roughly 3 feet high and two feet wide.
There is a stand up fridge in the galley to the right after the entry hallway, a little small, maybe what you would find in an RV? Fridge on bottom with freezer section on top with a separate door. It does have an icemaker but you have to open the freezer and take them out yourself.
Bahahahahahaaaa

The waiters are instructed to say that. It is inconsistent with the T&Cs. We order extras and have never been charged.
That is good to hear! I will be on the Gem this October and plan a visit to Cagney's.
