I didn't think Celebrity had the concept of drink vouchers, which is what made RC unique.
Oh they do! They also have better pay restaurants, cushions on every pool lounger, and a lot of other tiny things I like better. But, it's an older crowd and not many kids and no play things like Rock Climbing or Flowriders. That's why Royal was the win for our family cruise.
I was Diamond before I sailed with Celebrity. When I booked my first one I called Celebrity loyalty program and boarded the ship as Elite. It works both ways. If one had only cruised Celebrity and booked a Royal they can call and get equivalent status on Royal. Which is very nice!

What I remember from before there was a actual bar and people rushed and pushed to order.
There is no actual bar I've seen in the current diamond lounges, but there is someone taking drink orders, just doesnt have to be within happy hour hours. 4 pm ifmim sittingmthere he will ask if I want a drink. The food just isnt set out until 5 pm.
So they still do snacks - that's nice. Not sure they will on our 5 night Bermuda cruise. Celebrity stopped doing it on their 4 night.

There's still a happy hour in the lounge but you must use the vouchers for your drinks
yeah - That's what I figured! On Celebrity they preload them on your card, but you can still get drinks not with a voucher at the happy hour. Guess this is why I like Celebrity - among a million other things but this will be a family cruise. Royal seemed more the majorities speed. Thanks for the answer!

Hi All! I haven't been on here in a while and a lot longer since I've been a Royal ship (we moved to Celebrity) however, we are planning a family vacation and my daughter (who is Diamond) will be with her husband, who has never cruised. Will he he able to go into the Diamond lounge with her? I am assuming not.
Also, do the 4 drink vouchers Diamond get now mean that there is no Diamond cocktail hour?
Thanks in advance-
Edie

hi All! I have not cruised RCC for a while - switched over to Celebrity but taking the kids next year. So, are the 4 coupons in addition to the Diamond Club cocktail hour in the lounge or in replacement of? Thanks in advance for your answers! :)

Has anyone done this? How was it? Did they offer the Captain's Club cocktail hour on the second night? Many thanks in advance for your answers!😃

Hi there! Anyone know who will be onboard the Reflection on 11/29? Can't wait!
-
I don’t remember it, but we always had our waiter make the cheese plate and bring it out to us. We never had him bring the cheese cart by. Sorry wish I had a definitive answer for you!

Loved your review - did I miss the video of the Gatsby party? Really interested in seeing it! :)

The Persian Garden has never been an Elite perk. One may purchase access or book an AQ cabin which includes access. Back when there were coupons, I believe there was one for access on a port day. I never paid too much attention to it. Celebrity seems to have done away with the coupons.
Not true! We've gotten access to the Persian Garden (on a port day) each time we have cruised as Elite!:D:D

We are right next door to you (I'm on the balcony from Silhouette, wave!) and are scheduled for St. Lucia tomorrow. Hmmmm. Maybe I should go down and check if we are still going!
It is fun having 2 S class ships side by side.
What was the verdict? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

This doesn't look promising....http://crew-center.com/castries-st-lucia-cruise-ship-schedule-2017

Guest Relations says it is too soon to tell for the next cruise. I can keep checking.
Please do! I'm on the Dec 10th cruise and have booked a private excursion! :(
Thank you!

We will be onboard on Dec 10th - looking forward to the decorations!

I too would like discounts on dining packages or spa! :)

The tour is 6 hours and price is $99 pp. Here is a quote of what it entails from their site.
Which tour is it that I should be looking at?
you can also email me at edieabrown@yahoo.com!

I am booked in a C3 cabin on Eclipse Dec 11 for 10 night Southern Caribbean. I got 3 options - free beverage pkg, free gratuities and 300 OBC.
If the prices of the Aqua came down I would love to upgrade to the Aqua but then I think I would lose the 3 options. How does it work?
Thanks
We are booked on this cruise too and it is tempting to change. The best advice is to call your agent. Never hurts to ask!:)

Following! We are on the Jewel on Feb 14th!:D

has anyone done this tour recently? the description reads:
Board a romantic sailing schooner and cruise to Christmas Cove and Honeymoon Beach for an exciting day of swimming and snorkeling. Your first stop is the deserted island of Christmas Cove, home to an array of tropical fish and coral formations. Snorkel in the crystalclear waters and swim among sea turtles before heading to the unspoiled Honeymoon Beach for more fun in the sun. After working up an appetite, youll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch.
How many people were on the tour. Guesses are okay! LOL :D
Thanks for your input!

Two taxis are way cheaper. Cost is about $25 plus tip per cab.
Thank you!:)

Hi! I have a question regarding taxi from SJU to the Pan American pier. There are 8 in our party. Would it be best to rent a private van (quote was $100 + tip of course) or would it be just a good to grab a taxi? Any idea what a taxi would run for us? We will be traveling light. One bag per person!
thanks -

I sailed with Random Wind in January with a fairly large group, we had prearranged to have the boat to ourselves. Trevor was beyond rude (from the moment we stepped into the little Zodiac type boat that took us over to Random Wind) and several of our party gave serious thought to bailing on the trip. We decided to remain because the "hostess" was a lovely young lady. Had it not been for her, it would not have been a pleasant day.
I will say that Trevor is a competent captain and the sailing that day was lovely.
Would I book again? Probably not. Too many other choices!
Maybe you will catch him on a good day... though I am not sure he has too many of those! The day we sailed with him was his birthday!

How many people are on the catamaran? Guesses??
Many thanks-

Not sure why they do not order at the Cafe II location in the buffet area. Perhaps that should be advertised more as it seems more convenient to the pool area.
/QUOTE]
OH! I did not know about a Cafe II - what all can I get there? I love a good cappuccino and I also like a latte on occasion. Hubby likes the drink that has a scoop of gelato in it.:p
Diamond drink allotment use in specialty restaurants?

Not the case on my cruise in January! Maybe because of status, not sure!
