We had the Key and ate in the MDR for the lunch.  They offered anything of the kids menu for my 8 year old.  It has cheese pizza, spaghetti marinara or grilled cheese if she would eat any of those.  In  the end, my son was talked into the adult burger on the Chops menu and they left off some of the stuff to make it more kid friendly.  On the Harmony, they really tried to make my picky eater happy!  

I had this happen to me when I was on the ship and our port changed.  When I got the credit back for the excursion, it was for the wrong amount.  I had bought/cancelled and repurchased excursions a lot as the price changed.  It was an IT issue that required the Guest Services person to submit a ticket to resolve.  It helped to show exactly what days I purchased and for what amount to show them.  

We just bought the sushi by the roll. We ate 4 rolls and 2 starters between 4 people for less than $80. I think my kids split a dessert too. I wouldn’t buy the dining deal. We had no problem walking in without a reservation at lunch and they never rushed us. We were on the Harmony. 

I noticed they added the Black Friday ad this morning, but the prices I saw from last night are the same.

It says:

beverage packages up to 50% off 

dining packages up to 40% off or more

internet & more up to 35% off or more

shore excursions up to 25% off 

beverage packages look like Refreshment and soda packages, some token discount on some deluxe packages. 

Internet deals for 4 devices that was worth it. 

Shore excursions looked the same as before

Dining packages looked similar to previous “sales” with nothing special. 

I saved $3pp on Refreshment package for my kids and snagged 4 device internet for $23.99 per day. 

I had this happen to me on a Disney cruise with AT&T.  When we got back on land, my phone had been suspended.  I called AT&T and found out the only way to prevent the international charges was airplane mode. I thought turning cellular off was enough.

They offered to allow me to switch my phone plan and have it re-priced to lower the bill.  Since my billing window was almost up, they told me to wait for it to get priced out and then they would call me back to work it out.  I got very lucky and my phone was part of my company's billing plan and it had international calling included.  So my $900 estimated bill turned out to be about $10 more than normal!  AT&T called me back after the bill was available and told me they were waiving the $10 charge because I had been a customer for 10 years.  I would see what options they give you, because apparently this happens all of the time.  

How about the Mariner?  Is there a specialty restaurant lunch on embarkation day for suite guests?

You need a water park ticket to access the wave pool.  You will also have access to another pool that has obstacle courses across it.  

I ordered the birthday cake/decorations for my husband. The cake was delivered to our room on day 1. Our servers brought him a separate dessert with candle and sang to him with a whole bunch of people on his birthday. My son mentioned it to our servers the night before at dinner. We also got a note from the Spa about my husband’s birthday and a $50 off any treatment coupon. I’m assuming they saw the sign on the door. 

We never actually ate the cake that was delivered!  My husband is not a huge sweets person, but I knew that going into ordering the package. It did look like the cake pictured. 

I completely understand because my boys don’t sleep well together. We all suffer if my little one doesn’t sleep. 

We were on the Harmony and it was $400 more to get two cabins over us all staying in one room (one of my boys is 13, so he counted as an adult anyway)!  We had connecting cabins and they also took out the divider between the balconies which was awesome!  I don’t think we can ever go back to one cabin. 

I just booked a cruise cruise for Christmas and my travel agent booked us in rooms next to each other but not connecting.  She was able to put the kids in their own room which will save a trip to guest services to update the keys!  

I think the amount where it stops your privileges is $500, which is a lot for a 21 yr old!  You should be able to see the charges as the accrue on the account on the app.  He can make payments against his charges during the cruise.  I saw many people doing this at guest services. 

I was on the Harmony at the end of September and milkshakes were included in the Refreshment or Deluxe packages to go from JR.  We just went to the bar and ordered them from there.  We saw lots of people doing the same thing.

Did you see the pictures of the over the water floating cabanas?  Those will be in the Beach Club that doesn’t open until December. For my cruise next September they are $999 (which compared to what others have shared about pricing is a bargain). 

My family did both of these a few weeks ago. My boys are 13 and 8. Definitely get the combination waterpark and zip line pass for Lost Kingdom!  It was $99 per person for our Harmony cruise.

For the zip lines, there was a minimum height and weight (they did weigh my younger son). They also had them zip line together so it was easier to get them across the lines.  My boys loved the zip lines!  What was nice is that they have elevators to get you up to the starting points and you only have to climb a few flights of stairs at a time. Both lines end in the water.  They also have a roller coaster zip line (it has a max weight limit of 220 lbs) that my boys did multiple times!

The waterpark was a bit intense for me, but the kids really liked it. The elevators were nice after climbing the stairs all day at Coco Cay!  The lazy river was fun. The only thing we didn’t like about Lost Kingdom was the cost of the buffet lunch. I thought it was expensive for what it was ($25 for adults, $15 for kids).  We ended up buying the buffet for the kids and we bought some chips for the adults to tide us over. 

Coco Cay waterpark is like  your local waterpark. The rides were fun and it’s brand new and gorgeous. The lines were much longer there than Lost Kingdom. It is a lot of stairs!  It was a little cheaper for the waterpark only, but would have been more if you included zip lines. We didn’t go in the zip line at Coco Cay, but it doesn’t compare to what Lost Kingdom had!  If you are not doing the water slides, the only two attractions at Coco Cay are the wave pool and obstacles course. The other pools are open to everyone. You can’t miss the waterpark here and I think my kids would be bugging me all day if we were on the island and not going!  

For our next cruise we aren’t going to the waterpark at Coco Cay, but I think they’ll be okay with that because they have been on all the slides. 

We were there with our 8 & 13 year old boys a few weeks ago. We got off the ship as early as we could and our boys had been on every water slide in the first hour and a half.  We had to drag them back to the ship at 3:30 (our day was extended to 4:30).  They loved it!  Between 11:30 and 2:00 there were lines, but the only long line was for the tall slide. They preferred the middle tier slides. As an adult the line slowed down climbing the stairs over and over! 😀  From 12:30-1:30 we took a break and went out to the beach. After 2:00, the place emptied out. The adults were tired, but the kids wanted to keep going!

i definitely thought it was worth what we paid. We were on the Harmony and the only ship there. 

We just got back from our first Royal cruise and were on the Harmony.  

1. We didn’t buy a dining package. We were glad we weren’t tied down to dinner reservations and could pick and choose from the included options. We weren’t fans of the buffet, but we generally don’t like any buffet. We aren’t big eaters. 

2. I was very glad I had made reservations for MTD and shows in advance. They just appear in your cruise planner, so be looking for it. 

3. We loved the app for searching through the activities and then could add them to our calendar so our family could see what we were interested in. Also it was easy to see our charges and we were able to get several charges fixed at Guest Services before the crazy rush at the end of the week. 

4. It was super fast to get on/off the ship!  Very easy process. 

5. Check excursion , beverage and dining prices often because the prices change a lot. You can cancel and rebook to get the lower price. 

6. Coco Cay was amazing, which is why we picked the cruise and was a place we want to go back to. 

We we didn’t even come close to doing everything on this ship in a week!  Already trying to find a time to go back. Enjoy your trip!

For our 9/22/19 sailing, I saw these prices fluctuate all over the place!  I rebooked our water park cabana 3 times.  The best deal was a week or so before final payment. A about 2 weeks before our cruise, the price got close to that before final payment date price, but not quite as a good deal. 

I booked the over the the water cabana, but hope to see the price go down a bit. 

We had the Key on the Harmony of the Seas 9/22 sailing. We got to the port at 11 and there was zero wait for anyone getting on the ship. It was neat to see software a company I worked for in use for embarkation working so smoothly!  We easily found our way to the main dining room to drop off our bags and get seated for lunch. They were walking around with trays of lemonade as you waited to be seated. We got our packet with the details of what was included, schedule of activities and internet access details.  The activities were all on Sea days, but sometimes overlapped. 

Bag drop off: this was super easy and the bags were in our room at 1:00. 

Lunch: we had a great lunch!  The waiter convinced my 8 year old to try the burger off the chops menu over the kids meal he wanted and honored his request to hold the sauce.  We booked the Key with this lunch in mind because we don’t like the craziness of the buffet.  Definitely got our trip started off right. 

Coco Cay priority disembarkation: we met in On Air and were escorted off the ship, supposedly ahead of everyone else. However, we got escorted out the back and others beats us that came out the front. It wasn’t a big deal because it wasn’t crowded, but it wasn’t really a perk. 

Show reserved seating: we got to Aqua show and there was no signs or details about reserved seating. However, someone came over to us and explained where the Key seats were and we had our pick of several rows. Maybe one other family was sitting with us until they opened it up. I thought the location was good. 

Activities: we didn’t use these because we never found the lines to be long. The times were not convenient for our schedule. The times were all in sea days (day 3 and day 6). 

Internet: we used this a lot!  My kids watched tons of YouTube because they didn’t like the channels available. My teen texted to his hearts content with his friends. We had an easy way to stay in touch on the ship and at Coco Cay. 

Disembarkation breakfast/leaving: we skipped this because my husband was in a hurry to get on the road. We should have gone because it took us a long time to find something on the road!   It was nice to leave when we wanted and our luggage was waiting for us. 

We also got a fruit fruit bowl delivered to us on day 2.  Do I think it was worth it?  We paid $19.99 per person. I would have bought internet for 4 devices anyway, so the difference was well worth it for the additional benefits. I don’t think I would get it if the cost was much more than that though.
