Thank you everyone, that makes me feel better that I won't have to climb up.

Weird question, Is there a weight limit for the Pullman beds? Our adult son will be staying in our cabin with us. We have a connecting stateroom so I think we will only have a loveseat instead of a couch. He is 6ft and weighs about 190lbs. Will he be able to use the Pullman or am I going to have to climb up?

Thank you everyone for your replies.

This will be our first cruise with toddlers. My dd will be bringing 2 carseats. Those of you who bring them, do you put a tag on them and give them to the poeters or do you just arrive after 1 and go straight to your cabin?

There are many people who's disabilities are not seen. I have an ankle problem, I take the stairs, up to 5 decks the first 3 or 4 days. After that, my ankle is slightly swollen and painful and therefore need the elevator if it is more than 2 decks{I suck up the pain for that}.

We have booked the Explorer for 2/16/2020. That date and other dates right around that time have not been coming up when I try a mock booking. ????

On one of our cruises a few years ago, I don't remember what ship, our room was cleaned only once a day. It was while we were at dinner. It really didn't bother us. We never saw that room attendant at all. Every other cruise it has been done twice a day.

The flight I am looking at is on Allegiant and it leaves Fll at 10:20. Flights on the main carriers(Delta) would cost more for each person than both of us on Allegiant. This is supposed to be an inexpensive trip(free cruise fare through MYvegas) since we just got back from a cruise on RCL 3 weeks ago. The stress would be much less if we could fly into Miami for cheap.

Thanks everyone. I am looking at the options to fly into MIA instead. A little more expensive but worth it.

Is there a "charge" for the 3 specialty dining option like the "free" open bar?

Hi, I am new to NCL. Is it possible to make a 11:15 flight from FLL from the Getaway? It says it docks in Miami at 8am. Other ships I have sailed on have docked at 5:30 to 6am. Thanks for your help.

I guess your sea legs are better than mine or I might be more sensitive to the motion. My drink is swaying back and forth in the glass right now.
We were on this cruise also and felt the gentle rocking most of the cruise.

Menus from the main dining room would be great!

I am loving this review! We are on Allure in a month. Our first cruise on a ship bigger than the Freedom class.

Put the phone in Airplane Mode and turn on WiFi.
Thanks!

We are fairly new to smart phones(I know), Can someone tell me what you need to do once on the ship to use the app without getting roaming charges or other charges. We also may want to use the camera. Thanks!

I just talked to my son in laws uncle, him and his wife went on the same excursion that day but through an independent contractor. They were 2 buses ahead of the one that crashed. He said their driver was going 120km per hour about(74 mph) for awhile. The driver was passing cars and buses the whole way. He said they were all nervous the entire way there. They were told that the bus drivers try to get their bus to the ruins first. Their tour guide was a friend of the tour guide that died. He knew of the crash before they arrived at the ruins and was very upset.

If a child's C&A level drops when they turn 18, then I'd call C&A and get it fixed. That should not happen.
For us, this happened about 10 years ago.

I agree with what others have said on thread, on the basis of own experience. However, RCL may not have a consistent policy so the conclusions you might draw from CC may not be absolute or authoritative.
In other words you might go on your cruise, get your son his Diamond status and then find that he loses it almost immediately when turning 18. Who knows, perhaps when he turns 21. Still worth taking a chance on the balance of probabilities.
My dd lost my status when she turned 18. Fortunately it only put her back 12 nights.

We were on this sailing also. Our plane arrived 15 minutes early, we headed down for a short wait for our luggage and then to the short taxi line(despite many ships in port). Off to the ship we went. Once at the port we never stopped moving, no lines anywhere. We were in the Windjammer at 11.
-
Have you tried Uber? Costs less than a taxi and our driver took us directly to the ship. As noted, the is sufficient signage to get drivers to the ship.
We don't have smart phones so I don't think we can do Uber.
-
Are the taxi drivers pretty knowledgeable about where each ship is docked? This will be the first time we have taken a taxi from the airport to the port. We will be on Freedom, will the driver know exactly where to take us or do I need to figure out what dock? Thanks!

The way my dh is reading the fine print, he thinks the new cruise you book must be within 30 days. So he says you can only book a cruise 30 days out and then redeem your coupon for OBC within the first 2 weeks. This doesn't sound right to me. We generally book cruises about 9 months out. Any insight?

Does the Independence have a baby splash area and is there an age limit?
