$1000 card came today 2 pm today

Good, this makes me feel better about a gift card order I made on Monday afternoon. It said it shipped Tuesday and given that it showed up to your doorstep in GA in three days, I feel confident that my order to NY will show up soon enough.

  2. Hello everyone, I'm back from another month long break. Quick question: Due to COVID-19, how long has the wait been to receive (any) gift cards? I want to order some dining gift cards for next week Monday, but I am worried they might not get delivered by then. Any ideas?

You made me wait a month and a half for that answer. The suspense was killing me, man. 🤣

YEP, I did that to you! 😂

From what I'm seeing, people who have a more positive outlook are starting to drown out the doom & gloom folks.

This is exactly what I needed to hear coming back after a hiatus. Thanks man!

I thought about that, too. If we get a $500 card, it'll come UPS and there's a good chance it'll only take three days. But our PVP has already extended a 48-hour hold for us once before. We only needed an extra day or two, but he extended it to a 5-day hold. I hate to keep asking him to do that for us just because we're waiting on gift cards. We'll probably just put the deposits on a credit card and be done with it.

    I got ya!

Anyway, we obviously can't get physical cards in time to beat Monday's deadline on that sale, so if possible, I thought I could order physical cards and change the deposit payment to those.

Can't you hold the cruise for 48 hours, and then call and ask if they could extend the courtesy hold until you get the cards?

Hands down, my favorite salt is Caribbean Sea Salt found on your handrail every morning as you step out on your cove balcony with a steaming hot cup of coffee.....

With a side of blue ocean mist and and freshly made breakfast!

I feel like the overall food quality on Carnival is declining. I know Guy's is hotly debated on CC, but I've always liked it. Heck, in the beginning, I loved it. But it's quality seems to decline with every cruise we take. I had it three times on Horizon and I couldn't even finish my last one. The fries were pretty bad, too. More than one person in our group agreed with that. I did enjoy the Pasta Bar, albeit it was kind of bland, but still pretty good.

Thank you for freely sharing your thoughts. I agree with you, the food quality is declining, or I guess our taste buds are improving?

Off to bed. Early day tomorrow to get on the road. I’ll be sure to finish up my review and post more pictures when we get home. Thanks for tuning in, everyone. I hope you found at least some of it useful and/or entertaining.

I just remembered your cruise is over! Have a great night, and safe driving!

I guess some of the young’ens are on spring break because there’s more than I thought there’d be. Or should I say, more than I’d hoped. And they’re getting more rowdy & rambunctious as we go along. Many of the ping pong balls are completely smashed. A couple nights ago, the arcade was trashed. Cups, plates, napkins, & trash in general strewn all over. Last night, a group of four or five were at the Sky Billiards, or whatever it’s called. It’s like a giant billiards table on the floor that you kick small soccer balls into the pockets. One had kicked a ball so hard at the ceiling, a piece of metal fell down. Then they were playing dodgeball with them. I was ready to go tell them I was calling security, but they left.

I had this experience on my Horizon cruise too; although, I cruised the day kids got out of NYC schools! So they must have went from graduation to the ship! The balls were smashed, they were kicking the soccer balls (for the pool) everywhere and the location of the mini-golf course is absurd!

I’m having problems with the Tapatalk app and that’s how I post my pictures, so I’ll have to hold off on those until it’s working again, or until we get home.

I see that the cruise lines have suspended cruises for a month starting tomorrow. I’m sorry to hear that those of you who were getting on after us won’t get to after all. This is absolutely insane. I can’t believe how much chaos this is causing.

Our drive home is about 20 hours, plus pit stops. I normally do all the driving and we stop overnight, but we’re thinking about splitting the driving and going straight through. We kind of feel like bypassing all this madness and just getting home.

I wouldn't blame you. No more toilet paper in stores, sports events being cancelled and now cruise lines suspending operations? It's getting crazy.
