  1. Has anyone been on the Symphony recently and purchased a Thermal Spa Pass?  Its showing 15 minute increments and you have to choose a time.  I spoke with RC and she told me yes, 15 minute limits and you have to choose a time you want to go.  I find that so hard to believe you get 15 minutes to enjoy heated loungers, the sauna or the steam room.

  2.  Way back when I used to get a newsletter from RC on last minute deals.  Actually I think it was a website that I could go to and see what deals they had on their. ships.  I’ve lost that information.  Does anyone else remember that? It wasn’t on the actual RC website.

  3. The tips went up recently but I’m sure there was a post saying if you booked before x date, or if you added the tips before x date you would get the tips at the old rate......

    Can someone please remind me?

Here is the email we got awhile ago. We are on a cruise this March. Hope this helps:

We are excited to welcome you onboard for your upcoming Royal Caribbean vacation! As you prepare to set sail, we wanted to notify you of an update to our daily gratuity charges. As of January 2, 2018, Royal Caribbean will be increasing the automatic daily gratuity charge from $13.50 to $14.50 per guest, per day for regular staterooms and from $16.50 to $17.50 per guest, per day for suites. The daily gratuity is shared among dining, bar & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants and other hotel services teams. We’d like to extend the opportunity to pre-pay your gratuities before your sail date at the current rate. If you’d like to pay onboard, your gratuity charge applied will be at the new rate. Other onboard gratuity policies remain the same: an 18% gratuity is automatically added to bar service beverages, spa services, room service and mini bar items, and will be itemized on your receipt. To pre-pay your gratuities, please log onto www.RoyalCaribbean.com, contact your travel agent, or call 1-866-562-7625. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard. Sincerely,

    Royal Caribbean International

  4. We are going on the 11 day cruise in March. We purchased the drink package, but does anyone know what the basic drink price range is on this ship? I know on the Anthem last year anything over 13.00 was extra, but I thought the drinks were cheaper on Serenade than Anthem. 2nd question. I know they have Surf and Stream for Internet, but I thought you could just get Surf as well. Thanks.

  5. If you want to try something different, we stayed at the Cervantes, which is in the heart of Old San Juan. It was wonderful. Not big, but it is a completely different feel than Sheraton. More of a boutique hotel. We would definitely stay there again. Everything was in walking distance and the trolleys stopped right outside the door. Great restaurants a few doors down.

  6. This might be a little late, sorry. If you go to your planner it will tell you what you can order. We ordered gin and a bourbon I think. We were on the Anthem, and at the time we couldn't get rum on that particular ship. But what we did order was in our cabin when we arrived. It was smaller than a liter. But on NCL we purchased a liter for a round 100. On RC it was around 50 but it was only 750ml.

  7. I've gone thru almost all the threads to try and figure out what hotel to book a couple days before our cruise. My first thought was to stay at "Riverside" but now I'm leaning toward the Hilton Marina or the Hyatt. I want someplace on the trolley route and where we don't have to walk far to get the water taxi. And I can't figure out which hotel would give me that. Our cruise leaves out on a Monday so I thought we could watch the ships go out which would be fun. Can anybody give me an idea?

  8. I am booked on anthem five night to Bermuda in August 2018. Our first time on this ship. Do you think there's enough time with a five night to see everything on the ship or should I book the nine night Bermuda Caribbean cruise? We're not new to cruising, this will be our 15th or 16th cruise, however Bermuda will be a new port for us.

We did the 9 night this past May. It was WONDERFUL! It usually takes us a couple days to unwind, and we still had 7 days ! Bermuda is beautiful. I would have enjoyed an extra day there, but the extra sea days were better. We enjoyed the 9 day so much, we decided to go on an 11 day Southen Caribbean.
  9. Hi! You are such a wealth of knowledge, I figured I'd ask you this question ;-) We're sailing on the Anthem in 34 days. There is a 20% discount ($48) for the premium drink package which includes drinks up to $12. I know the mojitos in Boleros are $13 and I'm sure there are other drinks that are over $12. Do you know if I could get one of those & just pay the $1 difference? I'm trying to decide if the drink package would be worth it. Thanks!!

I saw the compass from last week, and the package was being advertised for drinks up to 13.00. Which is a good thing since most of what I drink is 13.00😂😂
