Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. While I get you can order many of the parts individually, has anyone ordered a Full English Breakfast in the dining room? If you ask for it will the staff have a clue what you want? Again, I get you can order items individually, but that is several items and it can take a while to order. It would be much better (and quicker) if I could just order it directly. Thanks.
  2. Last year on the Summit, they had a Goose Island IPA in Cellar Masters and sometimes at the Sunset bar (I think a couple of the times the bartender ran from the sunset to Cellar masters to get me one). I believe that it was covered by the Classic plan (I was on Premium so can’t say for sure). Even though they are listed in the App as being offered, neither the Dogfish 90 minute or the Sam Rebel were available. While not technically an IPA, I’ve found Sierra Nevada Pale Ale good and widely available on board. It looks to be $11, so with the classic you’d be chucking in an additional $1.20 (the extra buck, plus 20% gratuity). And if a Celebrity rep is reading this post, stock more IPAs!!
  3. Thank you all for your responses!
  4. DW and I are sailing with members of her family in next month. Three separate cabins. We will likely be traveling to the port together, so getting the same embarkation time in makes sense. My question is can I reserve a port check in time for all of our group? Or do they each need to set up their our time? All of us are linked in the app for dining reservations of that matters.
  5. Thank you for the relies.
  6. No, I’m not looking to play baseball on board, though it might be possible on some of those Norwegian mega ships. My question is about watching baseball while on board. I have a relative who is a baseball fanatic who will be joining us on a cruise this summer and was wondering if there was somewhere he’d be able to watch. Now, I have to admit, I’ve never explored what the TV in my cabin has to offer. Other than checking my bill, I’ve never used it. So if the answer is simply watch in his cabin, please excuse my ignorance and accept my apology for asking a dumb question. Thank you.
  7. Quick question. Was thinking of getting a bottle through this hack, but there is no way I’m drinking a liter of scotch or grey goose in a week. Can I carry off the left overs? Anyone done this? Thx.
  8. A family member gifted us a cruise this coming summer (I know very nice). She booked it as a cruise only fare. Is there a way for my DW and I to upgrade to All Included without messing up the reservation/requiring a rebooking? We don’t want the gift giver to end up with extra costs on her Credit card or anything like that. Thank you for any insight/thoughts you can provide.
  9. My DW is quite fond of flavored seltzer. Does anyone know if they have it on the Summit? I checked the app and all of the menus I saw only mentioned generic “soda”, rather than a specific type. I guess she could just get a non-flavored seltzer and have them add a twist or a splash of juice to flavor it, but I figured I would ask. Also, on the menus, I didn’t see any of those spiked seltzers which are popular these days. Is that right? (I could have just missed them as I just skimmed the menus - I apologize if I missed them. Thank you!
  10. Lil Puppy Dog, My DW and I have done anytime dining and never had a problem getting a two top at dinner. The only time we were asked to sit with others was a breakfast and we were given the choice to wait for a spot alone. And if memory serves we had shown up at the very end of breakfast (so it really was on us, not the crew). Don’t let the fear of being not having a two person table keep you from a good experience!
  11. Found it! It wasn’t exactly what I was thinking, but it worked. Thank you all!
  12. Thank you all for your replies. We have anytime dining, but know that reservations are a good idea on certain nights. We are on the July 17 to Bermuda, so maybe I’m just too early?
  13. Years ago, we were able to get reservations for the main dining room ahead of time, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do so now. I’ve checked both the app and the site. Am I just being daft or are main dining room reservations only available on the boat now? Apologies if it is just me being brain dead.
