The OP called HAL on a Sunday afternoon in the US.

Try contacting your TA at that time!

No problem, actually.  I sent a FB message to my TA on Sunday morning (the 9th) asking about a missing dinner reservation for cruise I'm on at the end of June.  She messaged me back Sunday afternoon saying it had been fixed.  If she's available, she responds.

Thank you for the advice!!  I plan on eating at Tamarind on night 1 to avoid chaos.  I might try to make an early reservation at the podium for night 2. Do you know the hours the podium is staffed?  Could we go to the podium right after breakfast or does it not open until lunch time?

On port days, we may just eat in port and/or have something light at the lido buffet.  Glacier day and last night, we might do MDR or room service.  Also considering a 2nd specialty ressie if there is a Morimoto or Rudi's that fits into our plans.

I am not opposed to waiting for up to 20 mins for a table in the MDR.  If it's a long line/wait, we would probably just switch plans and go to the buffet.  We are very go-with-the-flow casual folks however we just can't do late meals.

If you don't mind sitting with others, my DH and I will often ask to sit at a table of 6 or more.  I have met many interesting people, and pretty much never had to wait for a table!

If you use a TA you can pick one that speaks fluent English that you can understand.  I'd rather turn on a light than curse the darkness.

It's not going to happen.  This is not the OP's first rodeo, and it has been suggested many times to the OP to use a TA, but alas....

Leanne, I will be on the Eurodam next Monday as she sails into Juneau. It will be my first Alaskan cruise since 2019 and my first cruise on a Signature Cass Ship since the shut down in early 2020.

Father, the advanced weather report shows only 20% chance of rain next Monday....should be a lovely day for a sail in!  Do you have a verandah, or will you be somewhere we can see you?  My experience with the cameraperson is they like to pan the camera over the top decks.
