1. I also have a terrible time with swollen feet and legs when I cruise so I always take a diuretic in the morning and at night along with drinking lots and lots of water during the day. I wont leave home without them now. My last cruise I went with low salt dinners in the dining room and it seemed to help a little bit where I may have been okay with taking 1 pill a day.

  2.
Really? Usually you can switch, unless they already had too many people for that timeframe.

If someone needs a particular time, they should request it early. I would suggest going to the customer service desk on the 2nd day or so.
I asked our cabin attendant if he forgot to leave us the form that we were used to filling out about the time of departure from the ship. He said they changed things about 2 months ago and that passengers were assigned a number depending on your deck unless you were platinum & above. We were on the 9th deck forward and our whole area had number 20. We were assigned #6 because we're emerald.

I remember when they left the colored tags at the guest services area a few years ago.
  3. We had a different experience last week. A party we were traveling with tried to change to an earlier time and they couldn't. Emerald and Diamond members were #6. I believe it was the 2nd group called. We were walking in to our assigned area, the Palace, at 8:40 when I asked what number they were on and they already called our group. We were in our car by 9:05! Very easy.
  4. For a four day cruise there's not much to lose. We stayed in this cabin and found it pretty much the same as any other cabin, just with more of a novelty twist.

We heard more noise from the adjoining next door cabin than we did from the service door over an 11 night sailing.

The CL lounge perk wasn't really for us and we only used this one or twice, as we felt a little intimidated by it.

By far the biggest perk for us was the free ice cream; and the photos in a unique "sweet" :D

Sorry to read that you felt intimidated by the CL. I guess you're right that we don't have much to lose on a 4 day cruise... Well, other than sleep. Ha

  5. Hello-

I just booked this room for a 4 day cruise on the Liberty in November. This will be the first time we've cruised in an inside room so I'm a little worried I'm going to miss having a balcony. My biggest concern will be the noise that a few people wrote about coming from the service door. I don't consider myself a light sleeper but I'm also not a heavy sleeper like my husband. I usually never wake up to noise when we cruise though.

I guess I'm looking for people to convince me to try this room especially because we'll have access to the CL from being in this cabin.

  6. I also retain water when I cruise and never at home. The last cruise I went on I ended up taking 2 "water pills" every day and it seemed to help but I still felt a little swollen. I was thinking of contacting the cruise line for my next cruise and ordering a no salt diet. Has anyone done that? I'm wondering if the food will be bland and whether or not they'd offer the same food just without the salt.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks!
