Carnival made the big announcement this AM cancelling all but a few cruises out of Florida.
When will NCL break the news?

My closest upcoming cruise is 94 days away, so I am not within the usual Upgrade Advantage window yet. For those of you set to sail in November or December, is Upgrade Advantage running as normal? Usually, it becomes available 80 days prior to sailing. Since final payment isn't due unto 60 days for these sailings, are you able to bid for an upgrade before making final payment on your initial booking?
I'm 61 days away from sailing on the Dawn & have not received Upgrade Advantage email. Maybe because they know they will not be sailing? Or maybe my travel agent does not participate in the program? Or maybe because I've not made final payment.

Deal breaker for me also.

Maybe when the website comes back up, it will have the update on cruise cancellations?

Back on the 10 day countdown till next announcement. I feel confident that we will see a whole lot more cancellations & changes. I have serious doubts about my booking on the Dawn sailing Dec.1st since it is an 18 day cruise. Would love to go but don't know if Americans will be welcome in Europe by then. If the Dawn does sail, I see it doing 7 day cruises.

Certainly is worth the $95. fee if you are going to spend big bucks with Lindblad.
-
Couldn't you have done a regular cancellation since the cruise is over a year away?
-
I'm booked on the 12/1/20 sailing of the Dawn......if it sails. Looks like NCL is ready to cancel all departures through the end of November. Unless something changes for the better, I can't see the Dawn making such a long Journey, with so many ports, as the 1st NCL ship back. My money is that the sailing is cancelled. I wish they would cancel with the upcoming announcement.

Same for my sailing of Dawn on 12/1/2020

MY NCL, CCL and RCCL stocks are all up today! Yea! So has anyone heard what the announcement is?
No announcement yet. The stocks are up cause a couple of ships will begin Med cruises this weekend.

If you do a mock booking, you will see the final payment date

I think we will have a clearer picture of which ships will begin sailing on 11/1/20 and which ships will have tentative later starting dates. I don't think NCL can start up the whole fleet at one time.

Expect NCL to follow?

If it were me, I would file a complaint with the BBB. I have had good results through BBB with other issues and companies. These complaints are usually handled by senior customer service representatives, usually with more flexibility to resolve complaints.
If you can't find anyone at NCL to offer goodwill and make it right, filing a complaint with BBB is easy. Also, the State of Florida also has an office of Florida Dept of Business & Professional Regulation where you can also take your issue.

It was an extra perk at one time. Your choice was between free air fare or $50 port excursion credit. You must have said no to the free air fare. You now have a $100 credit per port to use.
This explains it. I originally booked with the airfare promo but cancelled it cause I was able to get the same fare with better flights. Thanks for all the reply.

My vacation summery shows the shore excursion credit 2 times. Is this an error or will I be getting $100. Credit?

Did this trip last year and spent 3 days pre and post cruise. I don't think you can ask for more then a 2 day deviation on each end.

Hi Alan. Remember us from the SA cruise Dave. & Ellie? I keep checking this thread to see what kind of flights they're giving from Miami to Newark. We are doing a one way from NY to Miami next January with free airfare. I know it's too early to get the flight but would like to see what others have gotten.
Yes, of course I remember. It was a great cruise and we had a very active CC group.
I was surprised to see the airline routing so far ahead of cruising.
The roll call for this upcoming cruise has less then a handful, maybe its too early for a Dec. 2020 cruise or maybe the ship will sail half empty...
-
I cancelled my reduced air from Newark to Rome as I was able to book on my own for the same price with a more desirable flight. Placeholder showed up as soon as I completed online check in at 312 days before cruise. Exact itinerary was not listed, only showing dates and connecting flights, but I was able to figure out planned flights.

NCL price is very high compared to Carnival.
Carnival Cancels, NCL next?

Dollars to donuts, I'll bet this cruise will also be cancelled. I don't expect anything close to full resumption of cruising till April or so.
