  1. The cruise planner price now is $16.99 + gratutity for 24 12 oz bottles.

When you think of paying $3 a bottle at the ports it is very reassonable. I am happy that RCCL offers it as Celebrity doesn't and I would have to lug it back from ports.

  2. My sister had the same shoulder pain and used the Thermacare patches. They heat up and work for many hours. She just had the shoulder replacement surgery and it is rather extensive and limiting so don't plan any cruises too soon after that surgery! He can also buy Lidocaine patches over the counter and they are effective as well. Both of these products gave her some relief on our cruise in Feb.

  3. I sailed last month with a veranda that was partially obstructed as it was all that was available when I booked. The only obstruction was lifeboats when you looked down. The veranda view outward was the ocean. It is not a big deal and you will still see all that is needed. I was on the Equinox. Enjoy your cruise and don't let this put a damper on your excitement.

  4. I did Azamara in Europe last summer and loved it. They have an advantage over the larger ships when it comes to ports. I was thrilled with my experience.and will probablly sail with them in the near future. The MDR had no wait times and the service was excellent as was the food. White Night was a fun experience and they had some meals tailored to the regions. Loved German buffet while cruising the Kiel Canal. If you don't need a casino, bad comedians, magicians or shopping then you may enjoy it. I found the wood paneling, etc charming. I have been on 3 Celebrity cruises since and all were rather underwhelming. It was nice not to have to pull my seapass out to ordr dinks or shop. Cabin number was all that was requied.

  5. On the Equinox last month they had the coveted $10 sale on the first sea day. They had plenty of beach bags if you don't want to bring one.

The grey tote bags are in the cain and you may get a towel and sunscreen in but not much more/

  6. I was disappointed that the soda package was no longer offered as well. I don't drink tea or coffee so the non alchol package had no value for me. I was on a cruise 2 weeks ago and a can of coke is $4.80! $4.00 for Coke + .80 gratuity.

Thank you all- I just hung up with my TA and have booked this cruise.  I'm still feeling a little hesitant but here we are 🙂

I have been a Celebrity cruiser since 2005 and went on a European Azamara cruise last June. It was wonderful. No nickel and diming at all. I never had to show my card once. Our cabin attendent kept the fridge filled with water and sodas at our request. White night was a wonderful buffet . The service is impeccable. I have been on 3 Celebrity cruises since Nov. and it is sad to see how much they have changed. If you don't have a need for a casino, art aucton, bad comedian or magic show you will be very happy with your choice! Enjoy!!!

  8. I don't mind paying for a grocery bag to reduce the use of plastic.

What are you talking about?  We've been on three cruises in the last four months.  Not once have I been told they no longer provide bags!

I was on the Silhouette in Nov and Equinpx in Dec and bags were provided. I was on the Equinox 2 weeks ago and no bags. This was a 10 day cruise and no bags the entire cruise. It was not that they "ran out" but they don't have them any longer. Maybe when the supplies run out on other ships they will all revert to purchasing the $1.99 bag that is about the same size as the tote bag in the cabins.I wouldn't mind bringing the tote if I had been forwarned. The staff ringing us up looked uncomfortable having to tell people.

  9. I wonder if when she makes a purchase in the shops she will be told they no longer provide bags! I spent $100 and was told I coould BUY a mesh type bag for $1.99 . This is all in the name of the enviroment but I can visualize the bean counters coming up with this new way to save $$$. I think the  high end shops still put purchases in a bag. The rest of us look like we just left a yard sale with our items! 😊👚

  10. I wonder if the smaller ships are being treated like the stepchildren. No one on Beyond or Apex seem to have concerns with dining room, etc. I suspect between the pandemic and the cost of building and maintaining the new ships that may be the reason for all of the cost cutting measures. I am not a foodie and much of the food in the specialty restaurants is lost on me but at least have some quality meat in the MDR. They have better meat at the Carving station in the OV at lunch. I went on cruises in Nov and Dec and will be going again in 2 weeks. I have been underwhelmed so far. Let's hope the third time is a charm but I'm not counting on it. X should not be branding themselves as a Luxury line.

  11. I sailed in Europe with Azamara this summer and had a wonderful experience. Since it is all inclusive I didn't show my card for anything. It doesn't have casinos or the big shows but excellent food and service.Due to its small size it can visit ports the others can't . It depends on what you like but I am also leaving X and looking for alternatives.

We've used both in the past for a back to back cruise.  They even kept us in the same balcony!   So you are both in your own stateroom?  How would that work for gratuities, never did solo, do you have to cover as if 2 in one room similar to a single supplement?  Sounds like an interesting idea.  Maybe you are not sailing alone so ignore if I assuming wrong 🙂

No single supplements. We each paid our own gratutities and taxes etc for one. A balcony cabin for one was $131 each!  I doubt I will ever get a deal like that again. I paid more for the dogsitter.

My offers alway goes to my travel buddy ... seems to stem from the way they cross reference emails.  She has received 'my' offers for a long time now, also gets my Power Up emails too.  I called about it once, they 'fixed' it and here we are, so now I'm just good with it until my travel partner stops talking to me 🙂  The irony is my travel partner typically has the same offers when calling to enquire with BCC.  Too exhausting to chase it down LOL

My sistr and I get them but the first offer I called using mine. The only cabins available were connecting and when I mentioned it the rep said I see your sister has the same offer. He booked us in connecting cabins and we each paid the taxes for our cabins. It was wonderful~she likes warm and I like cool so it was perfectl Felt like a college dorm going back and forth to each other's room. So,when checking next time have her CC# available and try for connecting cabins!

it is a deal with 10% off going base rate and then they add the drinks tips and wifi at not cost

I wondered how that worked. Do you know if you can pick which type of cabin you'd like;? Maybe the next offer will have summer choices or Europe. Probably wishful thinking!
