  1. I have called multiple times trying to get an accounting of PUP awarded for Husband & I. Was told I would receive an email with this information. I have kept my own spread sheet on completed points and nothing matches up. If I had their accounting to compare with mine I could find the discrepancies. I have a strong feeling that the points for participation by both (i.e. videos) of us hasn't been credited properly.

FYI:  Was told that points are updated on the 14th of the month and appear on the 15th. My experience is that this hold true.

  2. November 2021 We took a taxi to Coco Loco @ Eagle Beach. $40 for 2 lounge chairs with umbrella for the day. Tiki bar with food and adult beverages. Taxi was very reasonable. ~$20 oneway, Not crowded. close to port. rest rooms and outdoor shower.

  3. Test celebrity is selling online is proctored. We conducted 2 tests in less than an hour from hotel. If using iPad turn it landscape. You’ll have to create an account for each test. Remember to logout after first test and log in for new test for different person. Results on app and via email within 15 minutes. Great and easy process. Much better than running the risk of a brick & mortar errors.

12/1/2021 celebrity posted procedures and options for internationals to test.

  4. Tested yesterday with iPad. Used emed. Turn screen landscape or you can’t see all of screen that you need to see. 2 of us completed the process in less than 1 hr. Just remember to log out of emed if doing more than one test. Second person will go into emed separately. Bigger screen is best as they have to see test materials and you at all times. Easier than trying to get to a brick and mortar

  5. Just thinking aloud….. we’ve all heard of rowdy flyers getting large fines, booted off flights and put on no fly lists over masks when everyone’s required to wear them.

What happens if cruisers get rowdy? Vax v non vax? Mask v no mask? More requirements of those who don’t produce vax proof v fewer requirements for vax? Refusing to pay for tests? Different requirements in different ports of call? Different cabins? Et al.

Lots of difficulty in monitoring, security. I hope the brig can hold everyone. It’s a big ole crazy world.

I remember a trip to San Juan.   Flying the day before so no issue for us but watched the anxious passengers who were cruising that day when our flight out EWR was delayed 4-5 hours.  Our plane had a mechanical problem.   They had to bring a plane from JFK.  Needed a crew for that short flight and flight plan, etc.  Not a quick 1, 2, 3 to get another plan.  With the time zone difference we were about 5 hrs late.  Not a problem for us and I think everyone sailing that day made their cruise, but I not sure they appreciated the anxiety.   Only do it when you have no choice.

There are upsides to everything. We were flying to San Juan the day before a cruise. Everyone waiting to board the plane were getting on a ship that day. Plane was overbooked. Gate agent came to us and explained that they were overbooked by one seat. She knew we weren’t cruising until the next day. She said she wasn’t messing around. We walked of with food vouchers and first class seats on a flight departing one hour later. The greatest thing was $2000 in flight vouchers!

  7. Last TA we had really rough seas. Pool was drained because water was sloshing out. Capt opted to disembark in Port Canaveral rather than Tampa. RCL bussed passengers to Tampa or other local airports. We already had a hotel for that night in Tampa with flights the next day. We had a relaxing trip to Tampa knowing that was our only glitch. Life was good.

Not so for other passengers who were freaking out trying to change “day of” flights, etc. Computer access was difficult. Many were in panic mode. You need to look at travel plans pre/post cruise. This is living proof of post cruise issues.

  8. I see making a choice on where to go in the world or what cruise line to sail as just that ….. a choice. I know what documents are required and decide to produce them or stay home. We produce lots of personal information such as credit cards, passports and cruise contracts, embarkation documents, etc.

I want to be safe and know those around me are vaccinated making all safer. I don’t want to wear a mask or lessen on board experiences. We have lost loved ones and know the price of being safe.

The entire world has entry requirements and I’ll meet them when I travel in a short time. I’ll be traveling to 4 countries. I’m having a hard time with the privacy issue as we have been sharing information that has/is been treated confidentially. It’s not plastered on a billboard.

I wish RCL would follow Celebrity on vaccine requirements. It removes a lot of guess work from travel and we all feel safer.

I currently have reservations on both lines, but am rethinking RCL. It’s a choice.

Is the Health Dept in every state going to have a database of every jab given. I got my shot's at the Hospital i work at. DW got her's threw the local CVS and my son went threw the state vaccine site. So many places giving shots how is it all stored ? I am slightly concerned about fake vaccine cards.

Data is maintained at the state level

The difficulty here in the States is that we don't have a national health care system (with the exception of the elderly, low income and military veterans). Each sate does things in different ways. Our vaccines are reported to a state database here in Wisconsin but, to my knowledge, that information is not passed on to the federal government.

Fed govt nor CDC maintains COVID-19 vaccination database. Each state maintains those records. If replacement card is needed that’s where you obtain it. CDC has contact information for each state. I asked for duplicate card when vaccinated. Explained why and was given same. One to carry (in heavy name badge protector); one in safe. Pics of mine and DH on each of our phones. We have MyChart info also. As of now that’s as good as it gets.

  11. CCL allows you to take 2 bottles of wine on board on embarking. Take an opener and enjoy on balcony. Corkage fee is charged if you take it to dining room. If you purchase alcohol at other ports it will be held until night before disembark. We purchase special shipping bags for items so we can pack them in luggage
