  1. Let me help you out....:)

the diamond concierge one is LB _ Diamondconcierge@rccl.com

**Had to put a space between LB _ Diamond or else is look like the whole thing is just underlined......no space when you when you send the email........its just an underscore _ between the two words..

Thanks to everyone for the responses. It's appreciated. Happy cruising. When talking to a RC rep late today, she told me that effective immediately cabanas at Barefoot Beach can only be obtained once you are onboard. I asked if this was something new and was told yes, it is something that they all were told at a meeting this week. I explained that meant a mad scramble to the suites concierge for a lot of people......let's hope this is NOT correct! Another suite perk taken away???? Yikes!

  2. I would like to send an email to the suite concierge on Liberty of the Seas re a few items on our upcoming cruise. My question is this - how do I direct the email to the suite concierge I intend in the email address? Is the suite concierge address 1 or 2? In the past, I have not had to direct it to a number as there was only one concierge. I believe the suite concierge on our cruise on Liberty will be Carlos Ortiz, but do not know whether he is designated as Concierge 01 or Concierge 02 in the email? Hope this makes sense!

    Thanks,

    Swiss

  3. Thanks for the info re concierges on Liberty. And yes, Carlos is am amazing concierge. He has the ability to go above and beyond what is expected of him and he does. I hope he is still on Liberty when we sail on 6/4. We've had some wonderful concierges (Denzil, Mario, Mahmoud, Reyno) but Carlos Ortiz is still our favorite. Our cruise would have been a disaster had it not been for his help in some pretty tough situations.

Thanks also to all who keep this info compiled in one easy to find place. Know it's appreciated!!

  4. The document shows Carlos Ortiz on Liberty beginning 3/15. At this point, I assume that he will be on for our 6/4 cruise. However, it only shows Carlos, no other concierge. Is there only one on Liberty, and if so - he is Diamond and/or Suites Concierge? Our family is hoping to see him - we loved him on a cruise several years ago and he helped us tremendously!

Any info on this from anyone? Thanks!

  5. Two questions about Liberty:

    1. Who is the current Concierge or should I say who will be in June 2015?

    2. Is it still the same rule, if you are not in a FULL suite and only a junior, you cannot go into Concierge unless you are Diamond or above?

    Thanks!

We are sailing early June and I have read Carlos Ortiz is the concierge, however, they seem to rotate around the ships and/or vacations but as of now they are saying it will be Carlos Ortiz. I am hoping so b/c he is absolutely one of the best in my book!

  6. I asked about casino rates for Liberty of the Seas in October 2016 and was told the same thing. It seems that the schedules are too new and casino rates haven't been determined yet.

On Monday, 3/30, I booked Anthem for June '16 at regular rates. On Wed. 4/1 I called CR back on another issue and was told the new casino rates had just come out. She then changed my then current rate to the new casino rates. I was surprised the CR rates were not as high as they have been in the past. But what a difference a day and a half makes!

On the other hand, I am still unable to book specialty dining for our cruise this June on the Liberty. Weird...

May the luck be with you...

  7. My husband and I are thinking of booking the above owners on the Explorer. It is near the elevator. Has anyone heard the "ding" sound of the elevator. Thank you in advance.

We have been in 1320 several times...it's a great owner's suite. Although you are near the elevators (a good thing), you are not that close as the OS is in a separate hallway far enough away you do not hear the elevator noises. We feel 1320 is a perfect location!!!

Sad to see the Explorer leave Cape Liberty - love that ship and its crew...

  8. Swiss- thank you for the positive report. Were they offering Classic seating times on your sailing' date=' yet?[/quote']

No, they were not offering Classic seating times as you described. However, we were able to pre-book or book onboard at Grande any time we chose. The various restaurants were amazingly effortless in changing times, etc. even for a party of 7! We absolutely loved it!

  9. We booked Quantum last July and sailed on her January of this year, so we were one of the earlier sailings for the Quantum. We were a group of seven. I rebooked all our dinner reservations online back in the Fall and just a bit of difficulty time-wise with a group of seven, but everything worked out fine. We changed a few times and restaurants while onboard with no problems. We thoroughly enjoyed the ship and all it had to offer. On our eight day cruise, we were unable to enjoy everything there was to do but enjoyed what we did. The staterooms were lovely and nicely furnished. The food was definitely above that on the Explorer and the specialty restaurants were wonderful. There were definitely people complaining about this, that and the other thing - but to be honest, I have seen this on every cruise I've been on. Just my opinion but the seven of us all agreed, we are booking Anthem for 2016 b/c we loved the Quantum in 2015! Enjoy! Swiss

  10. I know about men, just curious about how "formal" women are getting. Would white slacks and a nice top be more casual than most? Would a black sparkly outfit be more dressy than most? Thanks to any of you who have dined there for your observations.

My family was on the 1/3 sailing and I was a bit surprised that more people were not dressed up (as in 'formal') in the Grande. Most ladies wore what I would describe as smart casual and there were some dressier and yes, sparkly, dresses and tops here and there. I think whichever way you described - you will be fine. It seems the days of long gowns and cocktail dresses are a thing of the past for many cruisers.

    Have a great cruise. Swiss

P.S. And yes, jackets are required of men although the loaned ones are taken back as soon as the gentlemen are seated....what's the point.

  11. Another post about noise issues on this ship:eek:. I wonder if she received some compensation from RCI for her misery.

From what I can tell 10127 looks to be an inside room under the Adventure Ocean area.

Our family just returned from the 1/3-1/11 sailing. We had horrible noise issues in our stateroom on Deck 9 every single night except the one night we were in port in San Juan (the only overnight stay on this sailing). It was only at night and occurred from about 11:00 PM until approx. 5 in the morning. It sounded like a huge metal item(s) being bounced off the floor above us in the second bedroom in 9364. No resolution by going to Guest Services or having the cabin attendant's supervisor send engineers to our room....which never happened.

Despite that noise issue, we absolutely LOVED this ship and would sail on her again in a heartbeat! Sure, there are glitches here and there and noisy cabins seemed to be a big issue for many of the other people on this sailing who were located on various decks, various areas of the ship so it is definitely a big issue on this ship. Quantum is absolutely gorgeous and so much fun. Didn't even get to see everything on this ship b/c there is so much to see/do.

If you get an opportunity before she leaves us - cruise on Quantum...amazing experience in many ways.

  12. This actually worked just like on other royal ships, at least for us anyways.

after getting approval to board, we stopped by the Adventure Ocean desk to get DD her wrist band with her muster station number on it, then went to Adventure Ocean on the first night between 6-7pm to complete the registration and sign her up (including giving her self sign privileges since she is 11).

    Enjoy your sailing!

Thanks so much for your response. Now we know what to do and have a plan!

    Can't wait!

  13. Hoping someone who has been on Quantum can answer this for me. Where is the sign up for the various kids clubs, i.e. Adventure Ocean, Aqua Tots, etc. on Quantum?

I assume you would need to sign up the very first day once you board but thought it best to check since many things seem to be done differently on Quantum.

Thanks for any info you may have!

    Swiss

  14. I suppose all the new technology connected with Quantum has me a bit confused. I am about to do the online check in for our Sea Pass for Quantum. When i do this, is this the usual standard check in that I have done before or is this a new thing where I have to upload our photos? I'm not so hot at all this technology stuff so Quantum should be way above my knowledge on the tech stuff. Just wondering if the check in for the Sea Pass is the standard I've always done or is it done differently for Quantum now?

    thanks,

    swiss

  15. Thank you. This is not yet updated for the Quantum but I will try the different configurations and see what happens.

Here is the one I was given - but so far, I have had no response. But I am told this is the correct address:

QN_ Concierge02@rccl.com This address is supposedly for Mario Reyes.

Note that is an underscore between QN and Concierge.

Good luck - as I await a reply to my email to him!
