  1. We always buy travel insurance for these very reasons as you never know when a medical emergency will occur

We were really looking forward to this cruise cause the entire itinerary was all new to us, and we had enjoyed sailing the Quest last spring so much we had booked this cruise while on board

So once we get Linda back on her feet we will start planning the next adventure

Hope people will post reviews of this cruise when they return

  2. TY everyone

Sure enough the logo is in the upper right corner...not sure if we would have ever noticed without your help!

Did look online under booked excursions and there it says boarding 11-12 so we are gonna get there at 11

Figured this 50 dollars spent would enhance that first day...this is the shortest cruise we have ever done

  3. We printed our boarding pass and luggage tags for the 12/7 Freedom cruise and on the tags we see the notation for "F2F" which we assume lets the luggage porters be alerted for Faster to the Fun...believe we have seen mentioned on here that we should make sure the porters mark the bags accordingly?

Also on the boarding passes theres no mention of FTTF...when you purchase this dont you get some kinda priority checkin?

Also the boarding pass says embarkation at 130-300....that certainly seems to be a short window...we were gonna arrive at noon

  4. We have done one R cruise in 2011 and loved it but we think they have become very pricey for us...O by the time we add alcohol gets very pricey...we also do the larger cruise lines if the price is right and we got a helluva deal for Dec out of FLL...balconey, taxes, fees and gratuities, airfare, alcohol package, and one hotel nite for 2700 dollars total for 6 nights...we could not pass that up for a nice lil getaway! Our next AZ cruise is Panama Canal Caldera to Miami in March

  5. Understand the feelings of the very loyal cruisers from the past. We are newcomers, only one cruise with Azamara and a second booked for next March. We book travel strictly for the best value for the money spent, and despite the "higher" prices of today, Azamara generally prices out well below other lines we look at like Regent, Oceania, Seabourne, etc

  6. We would ordinarily want a balcony or French type, but with the way these boats piggy back dock, I think I am convinced its not worth the extra money. Are we wrong? With the ships small, it must certainly be easy enough to get to the top deck to avoid cabin fever? We have never river cruised

  7. We were in 7035. Loved the location for its convenience to elevator or just steps to deck 9 where you walked right out to pool deck. No noise, not even the elevators. Views totally unpbstructed. Our room only had a chair versus a small sofa though so Im not sure what cat gives ya the sofa.
  8. Well said...we did Regent Mariner too and we really didnt find Azamara less luxurious. Sure Regent has more inclusives but you pay for it. Its just like Sandals resorts branding themselves luxury inclusive...some are, most are not! And Im sure many paying customers have come away a bit disappointed in their Sandals experience...and there are many whom could never find a fault!
