  1. We booked an Equinox cruise for the Fall of 202 before the new pricing went into effect. With all 4 perks for 11 nights in a balcony cabin and refundable deposit, it was $5115. After the raise in prices for beverage packages as a perk, it is now $6115. There are a lot of cabins available, so it's not a supply and demand things. The increase for the $14 per day per person should have been $308. The cabins are still at the same prices as when we booked, so they effectively raised the cost of the premium drink package as a perk to about $1000. Ridiculous!
  2. I tried to put our I-pads in the safe in our balcony cabin and they would not fit. However, we fit our passports, car keys, wallets, a camcorder, 2 cameras and my jewelry pouch in the safe with some room to spare.
  3. While the cabins may have looked new and modern, the furniture appeared to be something along the lines of Ikea. Particle board with some sort of a veneer finish. My nightstand drawer was off the rails and did not open smoothly. We asked the cabin attendant about it and he said it should have been screwed to the rails, but was not and to open it carefully. For a ship that was only redone about 7 months ago, I find this disheartening as the rest of the cabin furniture could also end up breaking quickly. We sailed on constellation in 2016 and if I remember correctly, the cabin furniture was real wood. The closet door handle had a rough spot on it and I cut my arm on it. I think for the money spent, they could have done better.
  4. We are doing a B2B cruise into the Norweigian Fjords and then the Arctic Circle next June, 2020. I am looking for recommendations for hotels on Copenhagen prior to the cruise as we will be arriving 5 days prior to the cruise. During the time we are in Copenhagen, we would like to go to Sweeden for a day trip or 2 day trips. We would like a hotel with breakfast included, moderately priced with queen to king size bed. We will need transportation to the hotel and the cruise ship terminal. With the length of the trip, we will have 2 large suitcases, and either 1 medium and 1 carryon or 2 carryons plus a tote bag, so public transportation to the hotel and cruise terminal would not be manageable as we are in our mid 60's. I do not do laundry on a trip and will only have the cruise ship do socks and underwear as they wash in hot water. We will also need transportation to the airport from the cruise at the end of our trip. I am not sure where to start to look for information on the hotel and transportation ideas. Would it be better to rent a car versus paying for taxis and then paying for tours to Sweeden versus doing it on our own? Thanks! Mary Anne

  6. For the Premium Package, are the sodas in cans versus fountain?
  7. I think that they are trying to appeal to younger demographics with the Egde class ships, but have missed the mark. Also, the revolutionizing is taking away cabin and bathroom storage space and many items in the passenger areas look uncomfortable. I don't know who the designers are, but it seems to be apparent that none of them have cruised and especially for longer or B2B cruises.
  8. I find it wrong that each D+ member does not get their own gift. If they were each in different cabins, they'd each get a gift.
