We're on Apex.
I wouldn't worry about it as there are 4 MDR's to select from.
Since you prefer to have dinner in a dining room rather than the buffet, just go to any one you choose and I'm sure you will be accommodated.
I assume people make reservations for a specific dining room at a specific time then change their mind.
You might be given a beeper and have to wait a few minutes.
( For us it's more enjoyable to be served in a dining room then having dinner in the OVC ).

Anyone with a better idea, please let us know. As far as the post slammers go, I've read their comments on many posts.
Very good !!
'' Better idea " --- Not really --- " Suggestions " ? I'll give it a try:
Make sure your " complaint " is genuine ,not that you are just trying to get "something".
" My air conditioning was too cold/hot "--- forget it---you get nothing
" There was noise from the chairs moving on the pool deck above our cabin "--- you get nothing.
" No kids books in the library "--- you get nothing.
" My Waiter forgot to bring my , etc etc , which caused us to miss the Newlywed Game" --- Now, you're talking--- That's serious ----You are entitled to a Complimentary Cruise Certificate ---
Make sure you complain to the " right person/department ".
LOL--- Don't complain to the Captain about the size of the shrimps.
Think ---- What would you do if you received this call ?
" Post slammers "---- The same ones all the time--- you get to know who's who pretty quickly--- social media , on occasion, is not your friend.
Finally, some of the treads /topics on CC ARE absolute nonsense and do get well deserved " reactions " from post slammers.

No. Once onboard we always go directly to the MDR and find a table for two in a location we like and request it for the entire cruise. We have always been accommodated.
" find a table for 2 "------ Excellent --we learned that " years " ago on the first night of a cruise.
After the :
" Where ya from ? Gotta be real cold up there " ?
" How many cruises ya been on " ?
" Everyone speak French up where ya live " ?
Then during dinner the " gentleman " ( ? ) expressed his feelings about things that were not appropriate ( won't go into that ), and all of a sudden we didn't feel like desert and left.
Since then we request a table for 2 and 99% of the time enjoy chatting with folks nearby as the tables are very close together. We still keep in contact with a few couples.
LOL-- Come to think of it, I would have liked to sit at a table directly beside that " Old fart " with , etc etc. --- There I go again !!

Why would there be an expectation that a customer service/reservation agent be reading comments from a group of hyper-sensitive fanatics?
Good point !!
" Expectation " --- As in " Me, Me, and Me again " ?
Lately it appears the there are many Topics on CC that have absolutely no interest to 99% of us , oops, meant to say me. ( No need, I get it-- " So, Don't read them " !!! ).
There's one today that does give some " thought " (?? ) regarding " whether there are children's books in the library " ---- Umm , suggestion---- Bring some.
LOL--- There's another one that has the record for the Most Pages and is repeated every time a CCer books a cruise 3 years down the road ---
No, it's not " What flavor of gelato is your favorite " or " My lobster tail was too small " or " I was on hold to complain that my waiter forgot, etc,etc ".
Bonne journee -- Have a nice day

bon appetit and bon voyage
What ??--Who ??--- Me ?? -- Would I do something like that ?? LOL--- Is that nice ??
Ok--- Guilty !!
I was " taught " by the " Best"---- Yes, it was -- Oops, gotta keep his name a secret---
Hint---- He was working on the ship--- the Maitre'd --- all he did was ask for our cabin number and smiled/winked ( true story )--- and, the next thing I remember was a phone call to our cabin with " Good news, we are able to accommodate you etc, etc ".
Guess who was there to greet us when we arrived at the restaurant ??
LOL--- It's all part of the fun ( $$ ).

I think they save some bookings for suites and onboard reservations.
I agree--- I'll bet $ 100 ( Canadian ) that they do save space for " sweets ( $$$ )" that come with onboard " reservation cancellations " ( ?? ).
Some people think it's a bribe --others enjoy their dinner and look at it as " What's an extra $ 200 "??

do you want me to pass out?
No worries, you won't pass out-- eat 6 donuts on the way to the cruise.
Don't forget---Ya gotta " beat 'em " for an extra plate of 9 pieces of pizza or, or whatever you eat.
-
There have been many treads/posts re Specialty dining reservations--- Lots of 'em.
Someone ( I forget who ) mentioned ( many times ) that if a day and time is not available on line, then, as soon as you board the ship go straight to the restaurant and speak to the Maitre'd. ( Forget about " racing " to the OVC ).
Give him/her your cabin number, and most likely there will be a cancellation and you will be accommodated.
Remember to say Thank You ( $$ ).
LOL-- I wish I could remember who posted it.

p - you always go there and I enjoy that you do!!! LOL
bon voyage
It's all for " fun "--- same as my repeated sooooo many times of my jealousy of the " old fart " travelling with his 32 yr old granddaughter ( ?? ).
LOL---I'm pretty sure it was his granddaughter because the Rolex was pre-loved, otherwise he would have been stuck buying a new, latest model Rolex for his new latest model
Any bets that she still has the watch and he doesn't have her ?

Don't you have to call that shot (putt) for it to count?
Yes--- I called it lucky for me that the guy with the walker was standing too close to the hole.

I actually once won the golf putting tournament! Trust me - its a good way to piss off a lot of people 😂
You are talking to a former Golf Putting Champion from 2012 -- I forgot which ship or even who the Captain was, but the finals were " brutal " !!
Talk about pressure--- There I was against a few other guys ( one had a cane, another a walker , and a guy " claiming " to be a 6 hcp ( so, I told him I was a 4 ).
Lucky for me, my putt hit the wheel of another guy's walker and bounced into the hole.
I had the choice of a Celebrity water bottle or a t shirt with a big X on the front.
To this day, the t shirt soaked in hot water still takes the bugs off the windshield of my car.

That's a fantastic review---What a pleasure that you shared this --
Excellent, concise, and to the point especially re your GD's lactose intolerance and the overall service provided throughout the cruise !!
I would like to see more reviews like this instead of :
--No chocolate cake---I'm leaving Celebrity
--Will I hear noise if we're under the OVC, pool, theater or the upside down pineapple cabins ?
--If it's raining would you close the window, etc.etc.
-- And, my favorite---- Nope, better not go there " again" !!

"8. No escalators for nights where you got laid either although maybe there should be especially if you are sailing solo "
That's what I call " Insulting "---- asking a question like that makes me feel like a loser -- You put that on because the " winner " for sure would be that " old fart with the 32 yr old " that I mentioned once or over 50 times !!!
Can we ( not me for sure ) get extra points if we remember the Captain's name on every cruise, your favorite bar tender, or who won the golf putting tournament in 2012??

Started wearing flip flops (as they were called then and still are) in approximately 1958. They were the rubber "beach" flip flop.
A thong was/is a form of underwear.
On our recent cruise on the Edge there was this 32 yr old wearing a thong ( or whatever you call it ) at the pool.
I " hardly " looked , but, I noticed some other men staring, then , discussing (I assume ) whether the " old fart " on the lounge beside her was her -------Grandfather ( ??? ).
I'll bet he is because every time she got up to go " somewhere " she gave him a kiss.

So this chair hog story will make you smile (or not).
Pinboy isn't smiling---nothing humorous about " very loud, likes to share his conversations and opinions with everyone " people. You have them on every cruise.
I remember reading on CC, yup, right here , awhile ago that suite guests are " entitled " to better service because they are paying more.
" Better service "---- NO !! " Additional Services "----YES !!
Some of us choose not to spend the $$$ for a suite because we are totally satisfied with whatever category we book and don't require the services of a Butler.
Years ago we had a Butler and while he was there for us every day, we never asked him for anything--- very nice man, gave him an excellent survey rating , and tipped him well.

In Luminae, we tend to tip everyone whether they've served us or not.
1--- We are not in Luminae
2--- As I understand, you hand each individual a tip whether they have served you or not ??
Hard to believe you tip everyone--and why would you if they have not served you ?
3--- Or most likely, because you have Gratuities Included in your cruise package, theoretically you tip everyone.
-
Suggestion :
Don't spend too much time studying, figuring, discussing which restaurant to choose every night like we did-- I spent " hours " on it and in the end it didn't make a difference.
As noted above, you can order from any of the MDR's.
While we tried all 4 restaurants, we did tend to favor the Normandie due to the superb service from the Servers and the Maitre'd .
If you like Beef Tenderloin, the Normandie Restaurant has it as a staple every night--- it's excellent !!

As I previously stated, I pay for relaxation, the opportunity to visit new places, good service & food quality and prep better than I can make for myself at home.
If I get all those, then I’m a happy cruiser. If you read any of my posts and trust a fellow Canadian's opinion--- no worries---your needs and wants are covered---
( Off topic )
Ottawa eh ??? Are you in one of the groups bidding on the Senator's ?

So how about we have some feedback from those who have had some great sailings in the past few years? Come on, I know you're out there!
Full disclosure---
A--- I only look at Celebrity Cruises on CC
B--- LOL, I'm not being paid for anything I've posted-- have taken some "heat " based on a few things that others disagreed with -- had a few posts removed by the Moderator ( no problem with that )--and starting to figure who's who on CC ( trolls included ).
So, here's our feedback------We have been on over 15 cruises ( 2 since Covid ) with Celebrity and truthfully never had a bad or even less than satisfactory experience with service or food ( the most important aspects on a cruise for us ). The entertainment is hit and miss, but, no big deal in our overall " experience ".
IMO-- there are too many folks on CC who complain and look for a " fight " over absolute nonsense things. (No, I will not fall into the " What's nonsense to YOU is important to ME " trap ).
C'est la vie !!
Edit :
LOL---Oops, I almost forgot about the time our Waiter forgot to bring my three shrimp cocktails at the same time--- When I went to Guest Services to remove the gratuities the line was too long and by the next day forgot about it.

I'm re-hiding two ducks from a prior cruise. Left their tags on so folks know what cruises they've been on already.
And putting out 10 others.
So, ya brought home 2 ducks from a prior cruise ?? OK .
LOL--Let's say I'm going through Security into the USA with all those ducks in my suitcase and the US Boarder Security Agent says " Pinboy, WHAT the hell ya doin with all them ducks " ?
I tell him/her/ they ( whatever ) - " I'm going on a cruise and gonna hide 'em and hang around waiting for someone to find 'em ".
Here's the question :
Who d'ya think the US Boarder Security Agent is gonna talk about at his/her/they ( whatever ) coffee break ????

Personally I would feel like I were paying a bribe if tipping in advance.
LOL--- " Tipping in advance "
There's a great topic for discussion--- I'll bet it would receive as many pages as "Who's on board our cruise in 2025 "? On second thought, probably not. But for sure, more pages than " Ain't it fun looking for ducks " ?
Also, I have been accused of bribing a Maitre'd when he/she got us a reservation when it appeared there was nothing available. To me it is saying " Thanks " , and a very good " investment " for next time.
That's how it works up here.
-
We always choose " Anytime Dining " when we make the reservation.
As soon as the reservation is confirmed, activate Cruise Planner , then scroll down to Dining Packages and select Complimentary Dining. We are then able to reserve a time for each night of the cruise in the MDR. There is no option to reserve a table for two, or, whatever.
On the first night we arrive on time and request a table for two ( learned that lesson years ago !! We do enjoy chatting with folks nearby , though ) .
Never had a problem getting a table for two and as we left were asked if we would like the same wait staff in the future ( always did ).
I believe they do it for a few reasons :
1--- The Servers get to know your likes/dislikes and makes it a little more personable during the cruise. ( We also enjoy chatting with any Staff member on board--- always nice to show them that we care and appreciate their service ).
2--- Because you have the same folks serving you every night, they are more likely to receive an extra few $$ at the end of the cruise. It's well deserved and appreciated.
( There are always those that use the old " Don't show up for dinner on the last night trick " to avoid giving a few extra $$ to the people that served them all cruise---- One day I'll express my opinion about them ).
