  1. At what point do we start asking for interest on these loans they're borrowing from us? I'm only half joking...
  2. Same issue here. I’d take the FCC if I could get the same cabin category. It’s nearly double for a similar sailing for us...and there is availability so I’m tired of hearing the “well the popular cruises are already very full” etc. So let us fill them! Otherwise no way they’re keeping my money.
  3. And next week. We’ve spent money we can’t get back, cancelled gigs, etc. They should have decided this earlier, or given something like Princess did. Show us they actually care.
  4. This is the thing that’s going to make me mad. Transfer people to a similar cruise with what they had. Don’t try to charge me the new rates after all this. Just give me what I already paid for.
  5. A couple weeks ago, someone on the chat told me that I could not order new luggage tags for my new stateroom, even though we were over three weeks out. I did them online, LOL. The people on the chat do not have good information often times.
  6. They also should have announced what those with cancelled cruises can expect to receive, as all the other lines did.
  7. Odd that every other company released that information along with their announcement… What’s up?
  8. It’s posted on Celebrity's site and says RCI LTD, so I think it’s pretty safe to say yes.
  9. Wish they had made an awesome offer like Princess did - would have made it more likely for Celebrity to stuck with a great offer like theirs.
  10. Since yesterday add AIDA, and just now, Costa: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22596-costa-to-pause-all-cruises-until-april.html
  11. Absolutely. This is literally the least they should do to take care of customers. Fain talks building trust: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22594-fain-tough-week-advises-agents-to-build-trust-with-clients.html If you don't AT LEAST give people the same thing they booked, you're not handling the situation in fairness to customers at all.
  12. Add Costa to the list: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22596-costa-to-pause-all-cruises-until-april.html
  13. Same here - unfortunately, that's our vacation money for the year. COVID-19 is hitting both our jobs hard, and there will be no money to pay for another vacation. This was already our first vacation in 5 years, and now it's looking like it's probably gone, since no one can get things organized to let something reasonable happen if someone gets any kind of illness on board. Disappointed doesn't begin to cover it.
  14. I saw that...not really assuring to me. Doesn't sound like they're planning to cancel or offer anything better than FCC, which as discussed in another thread, is not cutting it with prices sky-high. They're asking for nearly double for my same cruise on a different date. Feels like extortion - we'll keep your money, and you can use it to rebook a cruise - but we're charging you MUCH more for the same thing. Only way that really works is to offer the same thing already books - most similar itinerary, same cabin class, same perks.
  15. Nor I. It feels like extortion...more money for the same cruise. Instead of money spent, they should just give us a credit for the same everything on a later date.
  16. The know the FCC will have to be spent either way, so they have little incentive to have the big sales and perks offers they usually have.
  17. That would be great - but they could follow suit with Princess and give refund and FCC...just sayin', that's how you get loyalty - go above and beyond in a tough time.
  18. We'd be going for sure is there was some sort of reasonable protocol in place for what happens if someone gets sick - COVID-19 or just the flu, or whatever. We're not worried about getting, we're worried about a 14 day quarantine somewhere. We both work from home and live in South Florida. If there was an allowance to self-quarantine, like you can if you're around someone who is ill that you get in contact with ANYWHERE else, it wouldn't be an issue. But an extra 14 days with no income? We can't afford it.
  19. Lol, yep...but I'd take a great deal on a new cruise over either🤣
  20. I noticed the same last week and I asked if the line was going to keep prices high and skip regular sales so we'd all have to pay more. I was flamed pretty good by a few, but more and more people are seeing that this is what's happening. We got a great deal when we booked this cruise, it's our first, and I've heard great things about Celebrity, but they would usually be a little out of our price range, so I snagged the deal! For our sailing on the 23rd we have an A1 Aquaclass cabin, CBP, $300 OBC, and prepaid gratuities. To get a similar sailing will cost us nearly DOUBLE.
  21. Tried repricing a similar one later this year to the deal I have booked now, and it’s almost double the cost! I only booked the cruise I have now because we got such an awesome deal. I have an A1 Aquaclass cabin with 3 perks. If they credit me FCC I can barely afford an ocean view, and pay for a drinks package and my gratuities. Not a comparable vacation, and not one I would have ever booked for what I paid.
  22. We are supposed to leave in 11 days. I REALLY want to go!!! First cruise, first vacation in 5 years, and we REALLY need one, lol. I’d be happy to go with no worries, but this quarantine issue is what gets me. They let people off a plane in Palm Beach this morning who flew with a man who tested positive. Many of those are self-quarantining. If something happened on our cruise and I had the option of doing a self quarantine I absolutely would have no problem with that. But being away from our jobs (both working from home) would be a big hardship. If only they could find a way to make that happen I’d be completely comfortable with going.
  23. At this point I’m hoping so...and that they offer a good compensation like Princess.
  24. No, we didn't miss it, but it seems like with the discrepancy between types of quarantines that the government should be coming up with some sort of standardized quarantine method. Passengers off a PBIA flight from New York this morning with a confirmed positive COVID passenger traveling on it were allowed to go on their merry way, as long they promised to check in if they started feeling ill. But people on a ship that might have had an ill passenger are held for 2 weeks? Just seems like everyone needs to get on the same page.
