Note - when I was on the Gem in December the BAR at O'Sheehan's closed at 2:30 am when the other bars did. The only one that stayed open 24 hours was the Casino. But you could still get food at O'sheehans I believe.

They didn't on the transatlantic cruise. But then the pool itself was closed all but one or two days (hot tubs still open) and the only time I saw the restaurant on the pool deck open at all was for lunch on the day we boarded. Other than that it was closed even when the daily said it should be open.

wait the Gem used to have fish??? I just assumed that was one of the differences between the Jewel class ships and the Breakaway class ships. I spent the entire 14 days missing those fish! But then I massively disliked the layout of the Gem compared to the Breakaway anyway. I can usually keep a basic map of a ship within the first 24 to 48 hours but even at the end of the transatlantic cruise I was still walking the wrong direction to get to places.
