Weather affects all airlines flying in and out of ATL. Staffing shortages (especially pilots) are affecting all airlines. Delta has been one of the better airlines from a cancellation perspective, due to some advanced planning they did, but they’re still awful - as is most of the industry: My advice? Only make plans where you can be flexible. Allow plenty of extra time (days?) before connections and transfers, and don’t hinge your trips “success” on any planned itinerary. This will almost certainly last for the rest of this summer, and probably continue to some degree for a couple of years. glad the OP made it to the ship! We just got word the Juneau docking for the next sailing is pushed back to 4, but at least they made it to Icy point on the last sailing (the first time!). As long as they don’t run out of A) food, B) space in the kids club, and C) drinks, we’ll be okay!

Princess has (had?) a juice bar on the Majestic (Ocean Terrace Juice Bar). Due to s sick daughter, I didn’t really get a chance to explore the ship in April, and they no longer have it listed in the ship information, so I believe it’s not currently in use. I think it was the only one in the fleet. they do still offer a specialty drink and soda package - ai believe it’s available on all sailings.

Yeah - service in Alaska is notoriously bad. Satellites are low on the horizon, creating lots of issues.

Princess has an excursion which includes a stop at the Rio Bendito Fiesta. Half of the excursion (mining museum) doesn’t sound like any fun for my family (and is poorly reviewed on Princess’s site). But the visit to the Rio Bendito Fiesta sounds great. I’ve been trying to find any information on this portion of the excursion, to see if I could arrange to just visit that, but there’s little to no info that I can find. It seems to be the same location as the “Rio Bendito Tequila” distillery, but that’s just based on pics I’ve seen. wondering if anyone is familiar with this location? It’s interesting for us because they indicate it’s a visit to a more local county fair type activity - with games, food, and tequila tastings. I’m hoping there’s enough to make it fun for our 5yo, in addition to mom and dad. 🙂
