  1. If you scroll down a little on the main Princess page, there is a post about changes to the Ruby. A poster in that one said that they just got off the Ruby and the dining time was changed onboard to 5:30.

I am actually happy about that. We are sailing the Ruby this fall and we like to eat earlier. Especially with the time change (2 hours) it would be really late compared to what we are used to.

I hope you get it to settled to your satisfaction! :)

  2. That's a great idea. I am a little worried how I am going to keep track of the pictures I take ... I would like to remember the names of the various mountains and glaciers we see ... I see myself being challenged balancing my camera, binoculars and a pen and paper!

Take a picture of your daily patter first thing in the morning, then you will know which pictures are taken on a particular day :)

  3. Does anyone know what the current cost is for a weekly spa pass on the Ruby? Has anyone purchased one? Is it worth it? I have purchased them in the past, but it has been a couple years and this is our first trip on the Ruby.

    Thanks for the help!

  4. Hi everyone! I am finally back and will try my best to finish up the review for you this week! Wow, it's been over a month since I have last wrote to you all! I have had a very busy month which included a trip to Minnesota to visit one of closest friends and spend some time out there, it was an AMAZING trip, I LOVED Minnesota!! Also, me and grandma have been spending some time on planning next years Caribbean cruise and it has been narrowed down to a 8-day Eastern Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas which stops at: Labadee Haiti, San Juan PR, St. Kitts, and Saint Marteen or a 7-Day Eastern on the Carnival Glory which stops at: Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. I am leaning more towards the Royal Caribbean cruise because of all the great things I have heard about RC, so we will see what we end up going for! I really hope we can do the Royal Caribbean cruise!!

I will now start working on the rest of my Ruby Princess review, so let's see where we left off!

Hi Alex! As an experienced Royal Caribbean cruiser I thought I would put my 2 cents in. RCCL is one of our favorite lines. We also love Princess (my next cruise will br #21). We are going on the Ruby next fall to do the CA coastal cruise. If you have any questions on RCCL, please feel free to ask :)

  5. Oh! I also just remembered about the huge table of confiscated items at disembarkation! Number one offender? POWER CORD. Loads of them. Just a warning that they are being seized and held.

I also saw a small cooking pot on the table... not exactly sure what someone was thinking! LOL :D

    .

Do you mean a power strip? I was going to take one because there are only 2 outlets in the cabin and with tablets and cameras to charge, I thought we would need it. I have taken it before on different lines and it hasn't been a problem. :(

  6. We are looking to rent a car when we come back from our cruise next May. I know that they don't have cars right at the pier, that you have to shuttle to pick it up. My question is, has anyone done this at the pier?

There are 3 companies Alamo, National and Enterprise with kiosks at the pier. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if one is better than the others?

Thanks! I appreciate the help :)

  7. Thanks everyone! I have been trying google search, but not having much luck. When we were on NCL, they offered ATV trips in Skagway. We are doing Celebrity this time and they don't offer anything like that through the ship, so I'm trying to find something on my own.

  8. Has anyone booked a private tour with ATVs anywhere in Alaska? We are going on Celebrity next year and they don't have a lot of options for off road type tours. We've done the off road Jeep in Skagway and the karts in Ketchikan, but we would like to do individual ATV's in either Skagway, Juneau or Ketchikan. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
