I am taking this as a positive!  Better to be forewarned and prepared.  When you have certain medical conditions, we may wish to take something to improve the bed just in case!  So that we can keep traveling and enjoy ourselves.  
I agree with @khuselidand hope we can end the mattress discussion for now.  I did appreciate the help from the Viking guest services rep.  That impressed me.  maybe this discussion has helped some other future Viking guests.  that is my hope.

Thank you for this discussion! I have a degenerative back condition and appreciate being forewarned. Unfortunately, a good night’s sleep isn’t easy for everyone. I’ll make sure to ask for lots of extra comforters. 

Do the Viking ships have a place that you can weigh your luggage before disembarkation so there are no surprises at the airport? I plan to be underweight flying out but am worried about what I might purchase. 

Y’all have made me feel so much better about the food selections. I have a digestive disease and can only eat very small portions at a time and I have worried about looking rude by leaving so much food on my plate. At the same time I really want to try as many unique (to me) dishes as I can. I am glad to know that they will serve smaller portions when asked and if I can’t finish all of that I’m sure my DH will help!

Somewhat along these lines - I have borderline high blood pressure and am suppose to check it every few days. I would prefer to not take my bp cuff with me. Can I stop by the medical clinic and get it checked a few times on our 13 day voyage?

I contacted our mail order pharmacy and they refused to provide us smaller labeled bottles. It looks like we will have to devote most of one carry-on to gigantic bottles that are less than a quarter full. 

Will definitely be carrying a list of medications, dosages, doctors, etc.

It has been a while since we have traveled internationally and in that time we have picked up more than a few prescriptions. We are on the Northern Lights trip so need to carry 13 days worth of medications plus 2 weeks in case of quarantine. Most of our bottles are huge 90 day ones and would take up most of a carry-on bag. Is it possible to travel with them in baggies with the label from the bottle stuck on?
