  1. Amazing how the noise goes away once the window isn’t in the equation! Happy sleeping! 💤
  2. So far I’ve had a friend in 6150 with a noisy room who was moved on one cruise (bad weather & notorious “popping” noises from infinite veranda). I was in 12276 which had the notorious “popping” noises on the TA that I just got off. Have been in rooms 10242 and 11194 and very little noise but different weather. My brother was also FWD on Deck 6 and had no issues. From what I’ve heard it just depends on the voyage/weather as to which rooms will get the brunt of the noise that trip. Was also in 10133 and very little noise but calm weather…
  3. I was on Edge and didn’t have any noise issues. Been on Beyond 3 times and 2 times had rough weather/noise issues. The noise changed from room to room each sailing. I’m pretty sure they are well aware of the issue by now based on all the complaints I’ve heard across my sailings. Last trip they couldn’t move people as ship was full (no more suites to move them to although other people got different non suite rooms as well). One thing to note, never heard too many complaints from people in inside rooms. My noise was definitely from the infinite veranda.
  4. It changes almost every sailing so it won’t help much….
  5. I agree 100%. I spent 18 months in Afghanistan and can sleep through rocket attacks. The noises on Beyond would make a normal person crazy. Alas I am not normal and came fully prepared. Sent videos to my brother who said the noises would make him insane!
  6. Welcome to the Beyond! The TA was noisy. Two couples on my hallway moved to a lower deck. It’s known for noise issues. Sorry.
  7. Sailed Edge before Beyond and never heard of any noise issues. Going on apex and haven’t heard of any issues on their either.
  8. I was on that same cruise on deck 10 inside cabin. A friend was on deck 6 (6150) and her room was VERY noisy so they moved her. I ended up moving to a concierge room (not for noise issues) on deck 10 which was just as quiet as my inside room. Was also on this past Feb and zero noise. I was on deck 11 and brother was on deck 6. No issues. TA that just ended today was pretty noisy on deck 12 aft. Heard complaints from other people as well. It was temporary though so didn’t affect my cruise too much.
  9. I wouldn’t cancel either. Just brought white noise earplugs and the cruise was definitely worth the noise! Just booked another TA but on another ship.
  10. You missed out! I’ve done Caribbean twice on Beyond and while there was some noise the TA is like the ship on steroids! Doesn’t compare to anything else I’ve ever experienced!
  11. Nope. I am in 12276 this cruise. Extremely noisy due to oceaniview above (all day and night noise) and in bad weather the window popped VERY loudly. Was on 11th deck in Feb and deck 10 in Oct/Nov 2022. Worst noise by far was transatlantic. Had a few noisy days back in Nov 2022 with bad weather. It changes from every cruise. I helped a friend move out of 6150 in Nov 22 because her room was NOISY.
  12. Currently on Beyond and there were noises galore! People moving rooms constantly. This was not “normal” cruising noises!
  13. I helped a friend move from her solo veranda room on Beyond Oct ‘22 and that noise was not good. Reminded me of gunfire and sounded like it had something to do with the infinite veranda window. When pressed on, the noise lessened. This was slightly bad weather but not horrible. I’ve gone on Beyond since then and in perfect weather I never heard anything. I used to sleep next to a generator in Afghanistan so I figure I can handle the upcoming TA if we hit any rough weather 😂.
  14. Maybe! I know in my profession I get asked a lot to write these letters for “emotional support animals”. I will NOT ever write one of these. If someone really needs an animal for health reasons they should get a service animal which by law is only a dog or a small horse. Majority of people asking me for these letters just want their dog near them because it makes them feel better (I know most humans are comforted by their animals! It’s been proven by lots of research!). Lots and lots of people don’t want to pay $ for pet rent or airline fees. I just feel an ESA is unethical and I won’t contribute to it. If someone needs it that badly they can definitely go through the trouble to get a service animal! It’s also a tax deduction at that point as it’s considered a medical expense. Ok-rant over!
  15. I am pretty sure I was on Edge with these people. They mentioned their beyond trip on another forum. They called them their “service” dogs. Two Yorkies I believe under 5lbs each. Hard to determine what service they perform zipped into a stroller!
  16. I was in quarantine on this sailing for 2 days for Covid. Probably got it on an excursion in Bermuda as the timeline fit perfectly! Going back on Beyond Jan 29th and a tad apprehensive. Even before I tested + I was keenly aware of issues I wish I could have ignored. Met up w/a few other solo passengers who were just as disappointed as I was about service issues. This next cruise will hopefully be better. If not, I have an Oceania one booked for December on their new ship. The average age on this sailing was soooo much like Oceania but the service was not!
  17. I was on that trip as well and heard several complaints about the noise.
  18. I read this as well. I joined the transatlantic group on f book to see how things were before my own cruise. I was on October 26-Nov 4th and there were still noise issues. The transatlantic had some other damage which was apparent when I was onboard due to very rough seas-at one point-broken glass, hot tub out of commission due to damage. Not huge stuff like some were saying. On my cruise I met a woman traveling in a solo room that was beyond noisy-she had them move her to another room. It wasn’t even rough weather at all! We were in the Caribbean. I am dismayed as I had booked that exact room for my bday on upcoming cruise Jan 29th. I sat in her room to listen to noises & it definitely would be an issue for me. I immediately did the bidding for the move up option. I’d rather be in an inside room vs the room they moved her from! The other thing was that Celebrity is WELL aware of the issue yet they told my new friend that they hadn’t had any complaints. Amazing. I actually have video that someone else posted with the noise. 3329E081-6797-4B09-9013-169F3EDA78BB.MOV
