That's the thing. X says no charter. I can't find evidence of a charter anywhere. I also don't ever remember them chartering during March break (and I realize that the break is different for many places). We can only travel at the absolute highest season times (two weeks over xmas/new year), and the one week in March, and those ships always cost at least 50% more to book and sail full, every time.

I've been watching the March 11 sailing of the Infinity, and decided to book this week. It seems I can't. After speaking to X twice, and three agents, no one has the answer as to why bookings are closed. According to X customer service, it's not chartered, the blocking is done by the "revenue department". I don't see a dry dock happening for two and a half months.
The March 16h sailing is still available.
A big box store agent told me that the itinerary is still there, but is blocked from selling. Another online agent told me the same thing, but they COULD sell me group rate, A2 GTY, but that X could redeploy, change itinerary, cancel, etc. Another overseas online agent shows sold out.
If anyone has any ideas, please LMK. Since we're teachers, we can't move our dates.

Anyone ever get the impression that this place desperately needs a few more moderators to move threads around? At any given time, about 1/4 of the threads on this page could be moved to the correct location.

You are not to reuse a glass at the dispensers, so you shouldn't be asking for your tumbler to be filled. If you want to use it, you will need to get soda in a clean glass then transfer it to your container.

lol... the words "common sense", "Celebrity" and "IT department"... the only way they could go together is in a Mad Libs!

Isn't that the "old" speed they used to travel to get there?

No class at new school ;)
Seriously, would you wear those to a nice restaurant in your city/town?

Open toed men's footwear at dinner? Not a good look.

Why waste your time? Get on the ship, go to a bar, order a drink and relax. While there, tell the bartender to upgrade you.

Hmm, I always thought it was called "Fingernails on the Chalkboard"

Bring a small kitchen funnel, keep a couple water bottles when finished, one time during the day when going back to the cabin, order a double, and put it in the empty water bottle

Might be sooner than we think, Azamara has them on the schedule. Perhaps X needs larger piers...

I've had a very good margarita there, as well as a gin and tonic.

I can't see the upgrade banner for my Dec sailing. I have lots of OBC so I thought I would upgrade from Classic to Premium. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow.

Rent a car or a jeep. Easy driving, no stress, very scenic, one way there, one way back. Under $100. Gas station is right across from the car place. I've always used Alamo there, and the charges have been exactly what I've been quoted/billed in pesos.

My cruise ship dining experiences, ranked:
1. Olympic
2. Ocean Liners
3. Everything else.
I'm sad. "Progress"...

Ship's tours leave first. You pushed? You caused the problem.

I honestly don't know if it is a known drink (I'm sure google will reveal), we just told the barkeep how to make it, and kept calling that all week. As for Classic/Premium: that will depend on the spirits you ask for.

I was in London days after the 7.7 bombing on my honeymoon. Shortly after, was in Kusadasi following the bombing there. I've also been to New York City a few times after 9.11. The list goes on. I don't live in fear.

Irish Mule
We got them to make Irish Mules, and Kentucky Mules as well.

Nothing. Just another example of why we need a few more moderators around here.

I'd ask Plum to PM me, but, you know, we can't do that like every other forum on the internet.
So, I will accept an acrostic poem instead.
