Time to book for March Break! Although, I'm going to guess those prices haven't dropped much...
-
I feel bad that I posted misinformation. It's been so long since I used that upgrade.
So, how does it work for an X Guarantee? If I get assigned a cabin, do I call the Captain's Club and ask for the upgrade?
-
Remember, cruising then was only for the privileged few.
Not exactly. "Cruising" didn't really exist. Those ships were liners, built for transport like air liners today. Yes, the wealthy took pleasure trips, but the vast majority of passengers were down in the lower class bunks.
-
If you are Captain's Club, you can get a one cat upgrade. However, that is useless now with the perk system since it can't be combined with other offers. That's why we really don't talk about it these days. It will be applicable on cruises where there are no offers, like transatlantics. Note that the upgrade is within category only (ie: 2D to 2C, not Concierge to Aqua). I've probably forgotten something, but that's the main concept.

Walk to bus station, bus to train, enjoy scenery, visit Florence. Return saving lots of money.

Not really. The pools are too small for lap swimming, and with a few other people in the pool, your husband will be annoyed with people in the way (and people in for a float won't be happy with him doing laps). Get him ready for some cardio in the gym...

I genuinely feel embarrassed for the OP.

I placed a red/black on Connie on my March cruise with OBC chips. Took the winnings, along with the winning bet OBC chips (which were NOT replaced) to the blackjack table. Went on a run, kept putting aside my winnings and kept betting with my OBC chips. Turned a very nice profit. It was fun.

Next stop Fhloston Paradise!

Big Better:
1. Smoking policy
2. Food stations on S class. I love M class, but cafeteria-like lines are passe. Yes, it was nice when they carried the trays, but the convenience/speed of only going where you want at the S class pod stations is much better.

Buzzers are normal, and common. They have been since the start of Select. Especially for the time you want, right in the middle of service. If you want the same time every night without the possibility of a wait, Traditional Dining will be a better choice for you.
For others that have asked about wait times: I've never waited long enough to order a second drink...
-
I think its relevant to X, and here's why: now that other lines are tightening their smoking policies, it is time once again for Celebrity to take a leadership position and eliminate all on board smoking. Yes, the very vocal minority will scream and cry, while the vast majority will embrace the progressive business decision and vote with their wallets.

If they're saving money, you should be as well. Yes, I'm aware of the cruise contract, and all they have to do is leave port. This would be like an airline saying "we're going to fly at half speed to save fuel"...

Bad advice. Vaping in your cabin is still against the rules.

Which cabin did you get? The one that we were assigned is in a very undesirable location.
Second from the front, right under the gym. Was worried. Didn't hear a thing. Loved the location, quick down to the spa, great view out the front from the relax lounge.

I asked the same question as the OP the first time I was upgraded to Aqua. I kept it, loved Blu, and try to go Aqua every time.

12 a day ish

Or, the uptake on Premium packages was low and they were looking for a way to get more sales.

Stunning footage. The Cozumel one is nice, too. Please keep posting as you make them.

Cruise I was about to book was 1500. Now just over 2k. Hmm, 1/2 off second person...
It's a shell game. I'll keep watching prices, but artificially raising prices in order to give a "discount" won't get me to put down a deposit.

USD always.
What's the next sale/pricing?
in Celebrity Cruises

With the end of Two By Sea on Monday, I'm wondering what the pricing/perks structure will be. Especially for sailings inside final payment. We got great advance info on the last sale, anyone have inf on what's coming this week?
